  1. This is the Hybrid web site http://www.powerdigger.com/ According to their eBay shop, the "official" eBay seller is flyingperformance http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Flying-Performance-International
  2. BTW Docking is not absolutely against the law yet.
  3. Terriers are never docked as short as Boxers etc. It's a handle if you need to pull the dog out of a fox hole
  4. Joe, I was searching TIF earlier today and I came across your first ever post arranging to take the Soarer to Steve's place. That was the start of a long slippery slope!
  5. That's a new one. Apparently, once the test is started (entered into the computer system) it must be completed within a certain time window, but my MOT man still books cars in as he always did.
  6. They've created a new peeve.... People who slam on their brakes and slow to 65 when they see a Highways Agency Shogun. They are not the police!!
  7. Could be leaking between an oilway and a water passage without the headgasket actually "blowing" around the cylinder bores. Just had that happen to my daily driver Merc......
  8. 73.1 is a very common centre bore for aftermarket wheels. I guess you'd just need 60.1/73.1 spigot rings to use these between a Supra hub and aftermarket wheels. At least they are "proper" hubcentric spacers.
  9. Andy, AFAIK there would be no engine issues, but would it affect the lambda sensor? I think leaded petrol would stuff it up, but I'm not sure about LRP. EDIT: A quick Google (ooer missus!) indicates thet LRP shouldn't be used with a lambda sensor.
  10. Agreed, but they will continue to place the cameras wherever they can catch the most people. Motor Cycle News wrote to every "Safety Camera Partnership" in the country to find out how they justified the camera sites. Many were using accidents which were nowhere near the camera sites as evidence. The best (worst!) was an accident on a cycle path .... so someone falling off a pushbike on a cycle path was used to justify a camera site on a nearby road! In another case, all the accidents were at a junction, but the cameras were some distance away. So why not work out why the junction is a problem, and fix it? A cynic might think it's because redesigning a junction COSTS money, but a camera MAKES money ....

  12. Skoda / Seat / VW / Audi diesel? (in ascending order of badge snobbery )
  13. It's a long time since I had a lesson, but don't driving instructors frown on you going down through the gears? I rode bikes -- sequential box, so you don't have the choice -- for seven years before I even drove a car, so I find it a hard habit to break
  14. I'd almost forgotten them! That caused a sudden flashback, Andrew Shepton Mallett, June 1970, and a bill you just wouldn't believe
  15. If it's anything like the Soarer, one of these makes removing the oil filter a lot easier

    Car Tax

They charge extra if you use a credit card, with a debit card it's just the standard charge of £175.00 (or whatever).
  17. I've seen these intercoolers discussed on the Aussie Soarer forum (http://soarercentral.com/cgi-bin/sc-forum/discus.cgi), so it would be worth checking the Supra forum (http://www.supraforums.com.au). This is Hybrid's web site http://www.powerdigger.com/
  18. http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=8318 Put the gasket on the part and use a ball bearing or domed nut and a hammer to cut stud holes.
  19. and mine is COO as well.... Works Fords used to be "OO" reg so it mist be an Essex reg. All from the same dealer, or did they come in through Tilbury?
  20. I asked that as well , but he didn't know, just saw the results.
  21. Started after WW2 when we didn't need Bristol Beaufighters any more. The Bristol Aeroplane Company acquired a BMW design as war reparations, and started making cars. Some of the later Chrysler engined cars have rather odd lines, I think. The early ones are quite cool though.
  22. My brother just told me about this place in Bridgend http://www.renowheel.co.uk/wheels.html I have no personal experience of their work, but they did a good job on his mate's wheels, apparently.
  23. N/As 16x8 all round, TTs 16x8 front / 16x9 rear, I believe.
  24. According to the EPC Supra Computer, engine control 9605-9709 JZA80..6F..TWT
  25. Should look good on a black car, Andrew
