  1. If I try to run WMP, etc , or if I open Windows Explorer & click on the DVD drive, it just comes up with a 'No disc in drive' error box.
  2. 3 bloody hours I stood there last week & not a thing! It's all lies I tell you.
  3. My g/f has a Compaq Evo N1015 laptop which has stopped playing DVD's. If you insert a data or audio CD, it spins up straight away and plays. Put a DVD in the drive and you can hear the motor spool but nothing happens. Every so often it'll play one, but it can go for weeks without ever seeing a DVD that's put in - even ones it has played in the past. I have tried uninstalling the drive from Device Mangler (sorry, manager) but with no effect. Any ideas?
  4. I'll see if I can dig any out and scan 'em. Don't hold your breath though, lol.
  5. As far as I know it should be ok to spray a CF bonnet. I think as long as your careful when opening/closing it and it is secured correctly, it should be fine. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will be along shortly. One thing I have seen that looks good is carbon fibre sprayed with a clear candy colour. I saw a streetfighter with all c/f bodywork that had been sprayed with a clear dark green candy and it looked awesome - you can still see the weave, but under basically a coloured laquer, well nice.
  6. I'm lazy, I bought a pizza on my way home.
  7. Surely you can just knock the shift knob into neutral while driving, I've done it by accident in the Supe once - shifted from 2 a little hard and went past D and into neutral for a second. Do that, jam the brakes on and pull over. Fool.
  8. Nice one Gaz, good find. Just what we needed.

  10. NOOOO! Don't do it. This car is sponsored by http://www.ultimategrads.mars.com/NR/rdonlyres/3515C32E-EFF4-4773-B837-74940DC97CEA/153/uncle_bens.jpg The ricer's choice
  11. T'were my mates stag do on Saturday night. I have to say that it was ridiculously tame considering what can happen on a normal night out with the bike club, but anyway he was absolutely rat arsed & got taken home about 1am (lightweight..) I got a phone call yesterday from one of the lads with this belter: Owen had obviously gone on a drunken wander round his flat during the night (this guy's about 6'7" and built like two seperate gorillas). The door frame was found under his bed. There is a towel stuck round the U-bend of the toilet - only a little bit sticking out. His Playstation is bust. He's fallen over, smashing the TV stand. Got tangled up in all the cables. and this had me in tears laughing... thrown up all over the TV electricuting him! He's absolutely fine, but for gods sake what the hell was he doing?!!

    hop skip jump

Me too - occasional front-end judder when first starting to reverse. Looks like a common problem. Hopefully easy to fix
  13. Well done mate, welcome back

    Oh no....

The bloody nerve of some people! If it goes to court, I hope he gets busted for everything they can do to him. Folk like that really get on my tits.
  15. Wow. Them wheels are hideous, too
  16. cool. I'll remember that
  17. Cheers. That did the trick. Sod's law - the film I've just downloaded is dubbed in german. Scheisse!
  18. I have various mpg files on my PC a some of which need a different codec to play. I downloaded a codec pack and got some to play but I'm still stuck with a few that I can't watch. How can I find out what codec is required or can anyone point me to a good codec pack that'll do the trick? Cheers
  19. Hmm, not keen on that one. I like seeing the lights on the back of the Supe. Might look better on a white one, though.
  20. I'm doing some drawings for a HUGE house at the moment and the owner has more money than sense. He has about 8 cars, not sure what exactly, I've never seen 'em but all stupid money - one of them loony mid-engined Clio things & a fully Brabus tuned & kitted CLK thing. Thing is, he's going to have 'em lined up either side of his drive - in their own glass boxes, dammit! Loony buggers, the rich. Loony.
  21. I reckon the top one would look spot on. I'm going to be heading down this route as well eventually (but with my own graphics in a D1 style). As SupraStar said, if you put vinyls on, you can always get rid if you don't like it.
  22. Yeah, It's gonna be a few years in the making, this car. The real pisser is going to be the gap 'til I can afford to get the bodywork, wheels & respray sorted. It's my only vehicle, so keeping it running sweet is more important than looks right now. It suck being impatient, lol. I keep seeing stuff I really like.
  23. I worked out my shopping list the other day - total, not including wheels or respray, about £4000 spent this year - just over £1000 spent this year keeping the thing running - at least £2000 (including £1200 for the head gasket malarky) I want a pair of buckets & harnesses next, that'll be about £1600... sigh...beans on toast for me for a while, I think. But it'll be worth it.
  24. I'm a drummer in my spare time, mostly rock/metal stuff, but I'm slowly building up the stamina in my legs for more sustained twin-bass stuff. Not played with a band for about 8 months, but I've got an audition on Saturday for a local Chorley band doing Grren Day type stuff apparently so I'll see how that goes. Other than that, I used to be into RPG's (Call of Cthulhu, Sla & AD&D), but don't really have the time to rattle dice anymore. I still play Magic:The Gathering with a bloke from work a couple of nights a week.
