the clk 55 is a lovely car , i always wanted a convertible version . The Autobox is fine providing you cool it correctly. I have all the nessary coolers on the car. I have rebuilt various boxes and they have with stood 600hp without any issues . People dont understand that biggest cause of autobox faults is down to heat. The car has been completely rebuilt as you can see from the spec, yes if you wish for more HP, you would need to get it re-tuned. The setup is good for 600hp, its got all the items required for this. The only thing i would look at putting on is a oil cooler , the stock unit is great , but i rather be on the safe side. give me a call if you want to have a chat, pm me.

i know it might sound stupid but,have you checked the airflow from FMIC TO AIRCON RAD THEN TO RAD. Nothing is blocking it ?

Did you seal the fan stroud on the rad ? if you noticed the fitment for the mvp units are not that good ,what i did was put some door seals around the fan stroud and then positioned the unit on the rad, this fully seals the air flow. I replaced my fans with spal units as they gave up early last year .I am averaging 79degrees on idle according to the aem unit. Have you checked to make sure both fans are coming on ?

As chris says , i think it may be a faulty rad, have you replaced the original one ?. I had a simular problem awhile back with the electric fans that i had. During the early days , I wired my rad direct to a 30amp fuse , occasionally the fuse popped and the fan would not work . Since then i have wired up and independent power feed to the fans with 2 * 30amp relays to power it . It has not given a problem as yet. I also placed a 12v led in the driverside dash to indicate if the fans fail. If you need a rad i have several stock units you can use.

Well after driving around for the past several months in the car , I will have to sell it . Unfortunately I have managed to increase my license Bingo points by 9, having something so comfortable to drive and powerful makes you unaware that when you accelerate to 120 liptons within 1/4 mile so quick, you are unaware that an unmarked ford CMAX is following you.....bummer ..So after a long arguement with the wife I am reducing it to sell. £7000 . The engine alone with the modified heads and cams would cost £4k. The wheels were 2k, all the tyres have just been changed. Any takers let me know. Thats £7000 take it as it is, you can have my points aswell ...!!! just checked the advert ..its been deleted !!! well need to make another one.

I bought some Ferodo DS2500 for the 8 pot 330 version . i beleive they are the same fitment as on the AP 6 pots.

I require 2 blanking plates where the trac control is . Its the 2 plates on both sides of the trac switch .
