  1. yeah I think thats the one? although not entirely sure....
  2. erm its not too quiet, but not too loud either. I guess its more for the conservative type!!
  3. Hi guys I noticed for the first time yesterday that my exhaust on my import NA has a name stamped on the side. Has anyone heard of 'Medallion' exhausts?? Are they any good? Thanks in advance for any info... Nick
  4. My girlfriend wrote off her Saab 9-5 three weeks ago and is about to receive a cheque for the car this week. We have placed a deposit on a 9-5 Aero, which is a nice car. Im desperately trying to persuade her to buy Japenese though. Do any of you importers (Jurgen, etc) have any nice imports for around the 7k mark?? Not necessarily after a Supra as I already own one, but maybe an old Skyline/RX7/Celica?? Feel free to PM if you have anything that we might be interested. We are looking to buy the Saab this weekend, so give me a shout if you have anything for the right price, as I would be interested in taking a look if you are nearby (I live in Cheshire). Cheers Nick
  5. hmm.... sounds like its not a straight forward change then! I would have thought it would be quite easy - goes to show my limited knowledge on cars.... Cheers for the help though guys. I doubt I will be sticking any 14" wheels on it though ;-) Nick
  6. Hi Guys One thing about being a Motorbike owner, is that I have the option of changing the sprockets on my bike to improve acceleration and cut something off the top end. After all, when am I going to get the chance to do 160+mph?! Being pretty un-knowledgeable with cars, I was wondering if anyone could give me some technical advice... Is it possible to amend the equivalent of a motorbike sprocket on a Supra? I very rarely do over 100mph, and was wondering about changing the gearing (if thats what it is) to improve acceleration and lose some of the top end. Is this something that can be done? Has anyone on here tried it on a NA or a TT for that matter? Cheers in advance for any advice Nick
  7. Ditto what Gaz said! Filter makes a big difference to low down grunt... Highly recommended cheap enhancement for NA's
  8. Hi Guys Sorry just realised that there were replies to this thread! Cost for the project was £175, which covered all the work, a respray and the fitting of a new filter. It took Colin two days to do.... Hope this helps! Nick
  9. Oh right... Not very close then! I thought you might be from Winsford thats all. There are a few Soops in my area, but none of them are red.
  10. Hadyn Where are you from mate? I live just around the corner from Brutus, who did the work on my Soop above. Are you local??? Nick
  11. Not too sure about the other queries IceMan, but regarding the rear boot liner and removing it - it is simply held in place with a load of clips - very similar to the clips that are attaching your dash parts together. Its takes a little pressure, but the boot liner should just unclip. Start from one side and work your way round each one. Once you have done the first clip, you will see where the rest are. Just be careful as I know someone who cracked theirs, while trying to remove it...... Hope this helps! Cheers Nick
  12. Sorry guys, I didnt realise this thread was posted till after I posted mine!! (with very similar shots).....doh!
  13. The first two shots are before, the rest after! Apologies for the quality - the 'after shots' were taken last night, pretty late on......
  14. Hi Guys Just got my car back from having the front bumper/splitter moulded into one. Find attached shots before and after the work..... Got to say, I think it makes a big difference to the look! Cheers Nick
  15. Hi Matt I also experiance this problem on full lock, exactly as you described. I have read a few threads on this, and the general concensus seems to revolve around the power steering fluid level, (although a more technical member may not agree with this).... I have had the problem for the last few weeks, so havent had it looked into yet as I have been too busy, but I suspect by adding some new fluid, this might be cured. Anyway, just a thought.....not much help though! Hopefully a technical expert will elaborate on this more and help us both out! Cheers Nick
  16. Okay no problem. I was thinking of coming round at about 7ish Gaz if thats okay? Lets hope it doesnt snow otherwise I may have to postpone!! Its number 51 right? Nick
  17. Sh*t Ive just realised that the 30th is off for me. I am down south for that weekend..... I will have a chat with you Gaz (aka Silvermachine) when we meet up later this week - sorry about that guys. Was looking forward to meeting you all too. I will have to make the next one! Nick p.s - Gaz are you free tonight mate? Was thinking of popping round for a chat?
  18. Count me in too guys, providing its not the 29th/30th February. Any other time and I should be free though....... Cheers Nick
  19. Cheers Gaz I will do a search for that thread and will post a reply.... Would be good to meet up with other fellow soop owners. Might even get a chance to have a look inside a TT - still never been in one!! Nick p.s - have sent you a PM.
  20. Hey Gareth Met you today in Focus mate - I think you said your username was silvermachine anyway... Great to meet up with another Soop owner. I will have to pop over sometime next week to check out your car - you are at number 51 right? Cheers Nick
  21. Thanks Supradibbs Any idea on cost mate? I may have to speak to the bank depending on cost!! Cheers
  22. haha oh right!! Sorry, its the front lip spoiler I am after then - cheers.....
  23. I have just realised that this makes absolutley no sense!! Its the part of the front where there is a small hole cut out of the fender - on the left hand side....(detailed in first image) Hope that makes some more sense!
  24. Hi guys I have a small problem regarding my front fender (not too sure what its called but check the image attached).... Basically, its cracked beyond repair by the looks of things, and I may have to invest in a new section (bottom section only - the top bit is fine).... Firstly, does anyone know where I can get the bottom bit from? Cost? Or do you think I should just go for a whole new front??? For added Kudos and all that?? Any ideas? Thanks in advance Nick
  25. Hi Redflash I had the same problem with my car mate and at the weekend tried T-cut like Matt says. It actually worked really well, although may need another go at the weekend. It definately cleans them up..... Nick
