  1. Sue & her sis are going on thier annual 70's weekend to Great Yarmouth - in the Supe... This is both bad for Great Yarmouth & bad for me, so after a long hard think, I've decided to give you all a run for your money & go in the SMART Sadly it won't have it's go-faster graphics on by then, but I'll see if I can get it stage 2 chipped so it will keep up with Homer down his private road.. (OK-- I'll park it round the back) G
  2. Phew... so glad it's back, I was seriously worried that I might have had to do some work in the office tomorrow Will have to go on more often in the next few days to make up for what I missed this morning. I love this site almost as much as I love the Supe...
  3. It's Friday late afternooon for Gods sake, give me a break It took my brain two minutes to "get it" and then I wished I didn't... Have we a "Groooooan" smiley... G PS... I'll pass it on ..
  4. More from the lovely Samantha... As is customary, Samantha spent some time down in the gramaphone library earlier, fetching the hit singles she's chosen. She's become quite friendly with the two elderly archivists, Jack and Arthur. They've recently gone part time, so Samantha's come to a working arrangement - she does the paperwork, Arthur gets her 45s out and Jack's off all afternoon.
  5. Not sure, but this is the BBC link... http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/comedy/clue.shtml More from Samantha.. Samantha has to nip out to take her German Shepherd to the park to give him a stroke while he licks her face and pants.
  6. Went to see the famous "Sorry I haven't a Clue" last night in Oxford... Brilliant ! The show (Radio 4) has been going for over thirty years and the Chairman "Humph" was born in 1921 (and is still one of the most respected jazz trumpet players in the country). It was just brilliant, half way though the second half, I couldn't see for the tears streaming down my face with laughter. Featured Graeme Garden, Tim Brooke-Taylor, Barry Cryer and Jeremy Hardy. Sadly Samantha the scorer wasn't there... she was off on a dinner date with a gentleman friend from Moscow who's brought over a variety of caviars and an array of vodka-based apperitifs. She says he's going to offer her delicious food in his hotel room and then liqour out on the balcony. bum bum... One of very many..... G

    power washer

I'm a main Karcher Dealer so have access to a huge range of kit, but I always clean the Supe with a bucket & sponge. Pressure washers are OK for underneath the wheel arches, but I personally wouldn't use them for anywhere else. Even with a good quality chemical or foam, it doesn't get the paintwork 100% clean and there's always a small risk of it pushing water behind seals and taking very small bits of paint off on the very edges of the paintwork. Just my opinion, I know lots of people use them & like them (I use them on my other cars & vans). G
  8. I like it's back-side, but not sure it will age well. think smooth shaped cars age best (like our olovely Supes)

    I got a new toy

Great little car, Sue had one before the last Supra, really liked it but it needed more power (which you have), nice red too. Have fun... G

Congratulations Gary... Go out and have a doughnut to celibrate  G
  12. Pleased with the pics, not brill, but I'm not a photographer... but they were the best of many ! Re caroline, puts my little life to shame...
  13. At Chrissy I bought dad a day at a flying show and he chose to have a look at the Shuttleworth Collection near Bedford. Went yesterday and although I'm not really into old planes, it was a great day out. You have to admire the guts of someone who will go up in a 30 HP plane made of wood and cotton ! For you buffs, the details are: 1908 Avro 504K Bi-plane 1911 Avro Tri-plane 1941 Hurricane 1944 Spitfire The Spitfire was flown by a Caroline Grace, who learned to fly after her husband was killed (in a car) so she could carry on displaying it as he did - respect !
  14. HI and Welcome... Sleepless night to come eh ? Hopefully you will be OK with the VeilSide, I have a big bump into my garage and it was fine. I suspect it's more dependant on how low your suspension is. If you need and audi / alarm / RLTC doing I can recommend Sextons at Maidstone as they are very good and Supra friendly. A membver on here Matt Harwood, used to own it and the new owner & staff like them a lot. Have fun, drive carefully (for a bit anyway) G
  15. Wanna buy a nice watch... Hope you get it sorted G.

    Hello everyone!

Hi and welcome... How about this one as a good starter... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=116880 Cheers G
  17. I can see both sides Vil. Sometimes, like you, I cringe at what some of us "oldies" say to new people, and I think there are a (very) few people on here that are really brave when sat at home on their PC, but wouldn't dream of being so off-hand if they met the same person in a pub. On the other hand, like many, I hate the thought of the club being "taken over" by chavy texters who are more worried about their street cred than anything else. In the ideal world, we would all cut everybody a little slack until they proved themselves (or not) but I don't have huge sympathy for anybody asking " wots it wurf then" but that may be my advanced years ! Amazing Illusion

Should have said... Follow the flashing pink dot around and it (and they all) stay pink. Stare at the black cross and all the pink dost will go and you will have one moving green one !
  19. Another one, hope it's not a repost. There have been a few d=good ones on here, but I couldn't find this one. It's great...
  20. Bride, Groom and you wouldn't fit into a Viper (like your thinking though - any excuse to buy a Viper) G
  21. I would just like to say that this is a very silly thread. Anybody who wastes their time on a serious forum like this pretending to be a pirate is juvenile in the extreme. : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : HA HA.. Fooled ya, mee pox infected, rat eatin, lice ridden dogs. Get back to work afore you have a taste of me cat you lowly maggots. : : : : : : : : : PS... My reference to a "cat" was obviously intended to refer to the "cat o nine tails" not to the nice furry things that purr and can be found in a curry source on a Saturday night. G

    Dog names

Colin That's unless it is just plain brown and then I agree with a previous post... Spot G

    This is amazing!

Without wishing to get sloppy, if you forget all the crap people do to each other, it's amazing what brilliant things humans can do when they want too. (and they built the Supe) G
