exactly - how much cheaper and easier would it have been for example; get an old police car pull the truck over and then drive it away!

i've recently moved to two wheels and the price differences are amazing. i'm still on L plates, a 125 Vespa, tax is £15, insurance £88, tank of petrol £8 (will do 200 miles on that) all filters, drive belt, spark plug etc for a service £40. no cost to park in town and even this small engine scooter is faster to 30mph than nearly all sports cars. bad point (and i accept it is a big one) - if only the weather was not so shitty!!

the led zep effort was brilliant compared to the band scouting for girls (?!) trying to do london calling in a panto style anthem. i was just waiting for mcfly to try and do god save the queen....... hopefully the economic doom will force us to sell the olympics to france or ireland.

also the fact you now HAVE to take paypal (owned by ebay) on nearly all the listings. and my experience is when people pay by cheque they always receive their purchase. when they pay with paypal they go missing! (like the postie knows when to steal paypal items!!) - it is anti-competative and a charter for lying cheating b'stard buyers.

ooooh, it's like it is 1995 again - great days. no, oasis killed it - stone dead, with their sales figures (much higher than everyone else for about 2 years) all the indie labels were bought up by the majors hoping to do likewise, but not knowing how it worked -> ie slow build up, regular tours on the uni scene etc -> they did not see instant success -> and scrapped the labels = result indie died. now nearly every venue is run by a lager company and "there's only music, so that there's new ringtones."

the real oasis were dull enough! (and killed indie music to boot) RIP.

you should try an auto before rulling them out as many people on here will tell you they have not looked back with an auto supra. it has a manual mode and over drive for those that need to change up and down. UKs are all TT and all have the top spec leather seats, active spoiler etc. here is a very helpful pdf with the spec of all supras from some kind souls on here. also the insurance is cheaper and normally it will be easier to get the full service history. services are no more expensive than most other cars and being toyota's they will live a long time with regular services. mine has been no trouble and is one of the best UKs for sale.
