  1. At plane speeds a horn would be nearly useless though, even at a measly 300 odd mph! I guess he wasn't going anywhere near that fast, but still, I would imagine it was more likely the fact that the pilot couldn't see anything that meant he didn't avoid the poor bloke.
  2. I think Gibson and Boyne (are they still called that?) are quite expensive, but it was the name that did the rounds when I had a Supra, lots of people used them I believe.
  3. I think it's because of the number of cars around now that people get so complacent about it. It really is a dangerous thing to be doing yet even after having accidents and near misses, and those times when you think "Cripes I could actually have died just then", people still just get in and go without really considering what they're doing! I find driving very tiring because I try to be as aware as possible, always looking at everything around me including all the signs that I see every day and never change! I'm knackered after a long drive yet some people just seem to get in their car and think they can have a kip whilst they're driving. //edit: Who here didn't bother clearing the frost off their headlights and rear clusters during the winter? Let alone the entire screen and windows?
  4. Too big for a foxes arse bone surely?
  5. http://www.gibsontrimming.com/
  6. So he'd been having engine trouble for an hour, then oil leaked onto the windshield meaning they couldn't see, but it was only after the propeller fell off they decided to make an emergency landing!!
  7. Not really, we get lambs ribcages and backbones in whole and give them to Loki, they're about as long as that thing except obviously wider and deeper as well. We also get cows bits including huge great bones that I don't have a clue where on the cow they came from!! If you don't want it, Loki will gladly take it off your hands.
  8. That's why I said you'd have to change the points again so that the top 15 or 20 cars get some points - someone running in 17th looking at 3 points isn't going to drop back into the 20s for the sake of a pole position are they? //edit: Even if they do, so what? The cars moving back and forth deciding what's the best strategy for them is a GOOD thing, it means more overtaking as cars that WANT to win come through the pack.
  9. repost People say it would mean that the race before Monaco (et al) drivers would purposefully lose to get near the front on the street circuit where there's limited overtaking - I say; So what! If that's the tactic they want to choose then they have every right - it might mean the slower drivers win on that race instead and then lose on Monaco (but get some testing in instead or at least save an engine), sounds like a great season of racing to me! They'd have to fill Saturday with something though, some fun shootouts and stuff would do - champ points being given away or maybe you win an extra engine allowance or something.
  10. Well Loki's brother came first in junior dog, and his sister was reserve yearling bitch, so I'm pleased he got good lines. I only watch it for flyball anyway.
  11. Good idea! What's wrong with swapping previous race standings for the start of the next race? You could change the points around even more so the top 15 get points, then you'd have some drivers slowing down so they're at the front for the next race, some just finishing in the middle every race and hoping to even out a win, but the best would always be fighting from the back to get to the front. Also, what's wrong with removing some of the rule limitations, add some variability into it again and make it the best of everything once more. Teams with different engines and adjustable wings and stuff would add a massive variation in performance between teams, even if you end up with teams that are being lapped 5 times it'd be much more exciting to watch!
  12. I only sold mine so we could afford the house, I would still have it now if I hadn't had to sell. I'm determined to get another one but after 4 years I still can't afford it.
  13. They banned refuelling because they were all winning races on the pit strategy, at least this way they have to overtake to gain places, or otherwise be better with fuel and tyres. I just want them to remove all the regs and limits on cars, no rev limits and let them do any engine they want, and fully adjustable wings and venturi undertrays!!!! They would be so damn fast and exciting it'd be excellent to watch.
  14. Looks like Thorin has the best choice for the top runners as far as qualifying went. I've got a good feeling about Chandhok, he should do quite well.
  15. I hope that was more exciting during the practice? I'll try to have a look tomorrow.
  16. Would it be funnier if he'd just come in from the rain?
  17. I'm having fun roaming the streets. Streetview is OK as well.
  18. That's generally considered a bad thing for cars though, much better to drive it straight away! Now a remote windscreen demister/deicer would be a good one, I just don't want the engine running as well!
  19. I'm paying 5.99 and can't change, so whatever you do I'm jealous.
  20. I don't really see a need for it other than playing silly buggers and showing off. Not that you need a better reason than that I suppose.
  21. Personally I wouldn't bother unless you're interested in learning about your bike and how it works and stuff, if not I'd just buy a second hand one or whatever you can afford new. I bought my bike for £40 and spent about £45 getting some new bits for it to make it nice, but I did it all because I wanted to learn how it all goes together, and now I don't worry when I'm riding when gears aren't set up right or anything I know how to adjust them and the cables etc.
