  1. Awesome. Awesomely naughty
  2. How unusual. Somebody who god slated at this site is also being slated over there. People normally leave or get banned from here and become moderators over there.

    Router question

You should unzip the file first, and I'd be worried about stopping a firmware flash halfway through

    Router question

Ah. You do get what you pay for I'm afraid. GF uses TT here and it's horrible. I have to reboot the router fairly frequently. I never thought I'd see the day, but I have been recommending BT Business (btclick?) to clients for a little while now since Demon sent their tech support over to India. BT support, certainly on the business side at least seem to be very good.

    Router question

    Try the BT line tester.
  6. /me slaps himself.. d'oh I did skim over that post but I thought he was referring to one of the Autotrader ads. thanks Pete

    Router question

Your ISP can do a line test to see if there is excessive noise on the line. ISTR you can do it yourself through BT 154 or something, or you could look at the signal/noise ratio reported by your router, but terminology various here from router to router so the BT or ISP line test is a good place to start. Doesn't really tie in with the fact that the first few seconds of the download are fast though I don't think. Worth a shot all the same.. takes a few minutes and the automated system calls you back with the results.
  8. Thanks. I thought they were. I'm thinking the cars might have had a new rear quarter fitted in the UK. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1996-TOYOTA-SUPRA-SILVER-TWIN-TURBO-AUTO_W0QQitemZ280071029113QQihZ018QQcategoryZ18290QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    Router question

You could try updating the firmware on your Zoom jobbie, but to be honest I can't see it being a problem with the router. Have you got another computer, say a laptop that you could test it with just to eliminate the PC? It may be a problem with your ISP, which will be more difficult to diagnose unless you do swap the router
  10. I thought these were standard on facelift cars: http://www2.css-networks.com/quarterlights.JPG Are they? Just seen two facelift cars for sale which don't have them.
  11. That is a good price, and if there're no gotchas with it then it's a bargain for somebody. It's a shame it's not in a facelift-only colour though, just for the extra facelift fun. As with the autotrader ad before though, I'm curiously concerned that it doesn't have the facelift rear quarter lights.. hmmm they weren't optional were they? edit: Sorry CJ, didn't pick up the eBay stuff till after and thought you were referring to one of the Autotrader ads:
  12. Number 7 is some weird frankenstein facelift/non-facelift botch jobbie... Need to spend more methinks
  13. The first and sixth ones are autos in the pictures, numbers three to five are non-turbos, number two comes from Torque of Keighley .. haven't look any further yet, but still I think they're not unexpectedly cheap for bottom-bracket (i.e. the cheapest) oldest manual imports. If you wanted something in good condition, newer, not ex-damaged, or facelift then it'd cost more.

    Router question

I generally favour the Netgear DG834/g/gt routers as well, although they do have some frustrations which won't be a concern for you.
  15. D'oh. I wanted to look for an update on the super-dooper online Toyota EPC with live link to Toyota GB for parts ordering thing, that I had forgotten about, but their section and the posts aren't there any more. Jody, is that still in the works?
  16. d'oh. Just txt'd Chris for a price on them anyway as I may be up his neck of the woods this weekend or next.
  17. I need to upgrade my jap fuel pump. Is Walbro really the way forward? What about a UK-spec pump? I just don't want it to go wrong ever.
  18. Is that just for the car, or do you need to use a few grand of that for insurance too? You could buy a facelift TT auto with a few miles on it for that money. There aren't loads of them about for sale but as long as you don't rush you should be OK.

    Radiator

It was £190 at the time I asked.. auto radiator, done on an exchange basis IIRC. I had pricing for rad, a/c condensor, intercooler, receiver/dryer etc. and that's the price I was given at the time.. All plus vat though of course. mkivstore are/were doing radiators cheap recently.

    Radiator

    Sure, it's 01865 291300. From http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=41383
  21. Quite often they will use wording like: "this car has come directly from an insurance company", or "this car was is recorded as damaged but has now been repaired". What wording did the guy use? Have you got a link to the advert?
  22. I have a medium sized ABC one in pocket in the back of the passenger seat. I dropped a burning gas soldering iron under the passenger seat and it worried me
  23. Is this definately correct? It's just that I'm trying to find more info on the 044 and I can see that some people are using it but there's a common conception that this pump doesn't do very well at lifting fuel out of the tank. So, is this the pump that the UK cars have fitted as standard then?
