Thanks for the advice chaps. Think I've come to a conclusion. I was driving the Jag then a R35 (a mates car) then just got back from a 'private' test track in the 32 and tbh I remember why I sold the R35. Don't get me wrong I love the R35!!!! but there is something about the driving experience of a R32, I mean as a technical exercise the 35 is just better in every way; apart from, today my under powered ( ) 32 on my favorite 'narrow' test track holding the rev's between 5-8250rpm, spitting flames, and howling like a RB26 does put the biggest smile on my face Since I posted this and a similar thread on the GTR register I've had 7 offers to buy the car off me, which is very flattering to know that I've got a good'un and other people like it Had a long chat again with Rod today at RB and I think I'm going to do Cadwell and then sell it......only joking who am I kidding..... I'm going to build it into something special i.e. Syvecs os giken RB30 short block (9000 RPM and 1200HP capable) Full Race EFR turbo kit ETS upgrades Not going to shoot for massive power but think around 750-800hp and 1400kg should do it but most of all be a responsive set up bit like this:- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=au2v9TNnqHc

Some new photos:- 1994 R32 GTR So after a very frustrating couple of months with it I finally thought I'd got it sorted with new Works wheels and some CUP 2 tires and just nice CF front lip to finish things off. Anyway long story short I've got a track day booked (which I'm looking forward to with some faces off here ) and just took it back to RB Motorsport (who always look after me and my cars (top fellas)). So the final piece of the puzzle was to check the car over. However after some digging and more digging it turns out that the car has -5 turbos on but the bottom end is stock. I was under the impression and perhaps I totally got it wrong when I got it but thought that it was forged pistons and stock rods. So (and I agree) Rod ended up remapping the car but kept the boost at 1.25 appose to 1.4/5bar which we would have done if the pistons had been forged. To say i'm gutted is an understatement as I really wanted to enjoy the rest of the year in it then perhaps over the winter rebuild it with a small single (Whifbitz) and perhaps a Link G4 etc running 650hp. As much as the new map is better now Rods mapped it I've very much got use to the power and was desperate for some more power. So not sure whether to just cut my losses and sell it on and just forget about modded cars for awhile and perhaps go back to R35 or build it with a forged engine? But obviously the build cost (10-15k), although I know R32's are going up in price atm. The pro's of the car is that its very clean and I do mean that there is zero rust anywhere and its got some very expensive bits on it already and they are going up in value?! So build or sell? Not sure if I'm done with modified cars tbh

Wow looks very nice! What sort of power was it running?

TBH I ran MPSS, Goodyears and Dunlops on the GTR and it didn't make a huge difference, they are (as you know ) a grip monster! I've been spoilt with point, stamp and go Right loud and clear going to get some MPS Cup2 or 3 and see if that helps might go up a size as well! Although its booked in for some 'alterations' so might have to rethink the whole thing after that Yeah looked into that but the brake are massive, particular the rears seem oversized! But I agree I think it would ride better with 18" on!

Just looking for some advice, I'm really enjoying the Jag XFR, reminds me of my Single Supra anyway perhaps I'm enjoying it tad to much as it really struggles with traction it will lite them up any nearly any speed, it's quite a skill when pushing on. Looking for some grippy tires and just wondering what you guys recommend these days on the Single Supras? It's currently got 285/35/20 P-zeros. Cheers chaps
-
Cheers dude! Like your dads the sport brakes are a great looking practical thing! Cheers Ozz yeah I'm a lucky boy this is the XFR, not sure how accurate the timer is, it's just a gps one I got off eBay but my bum dyno/timer think it's about right Me Cheers fella, yeah it's great

Well after a 600 mile round trip finally picked it up Its a obviously very different to the Audi's and GTR but this thing is seriously quick! Off the mark to 60 its doing about 4 second but it much more the mid range 30-70 leptons where its just ridiculous! In dynamic mode it feels very very agile for a big heavy motor. I can explain it really it just great fun The thing that I think I can't get over is the engine noise the way it pops and bangs lol its like gun fire Fuel wise its doing 29mpg on the motorway at a cruise and 14-16 round town with some fun Anyway well happy with it although it might have some slight cough tweaks
-
Not going to make it just finished work and still got loads to do! See you all very soon!
-
Anyone got the postcode? Just so I go to the right place lol
-
Yeah will do do I need a handlebar mustache and chest rug for the ride in the zed what we need to do is a track day with the Zed
-
Well no rush in moving it on dude, quite like it in the summer nipping to work with the roof down but yeah come the winter I'll be in the Jaaaaaaag
-
Cheers dude! Love it! Pulls like train not sure on the mod front and theres a first time for everything but this is so nice I might just leave, mainly cause I'll probably hang on to the S5 and R32 for a bit longer
-
Thanks for all the advice chaps went with this in the end can't wait for the Jaaaaaaaaag
-
Yeah need to drive another non facelift, just wondering what the depreciation will be like on the facelift once the new one is out but you're right I will mod it and no idea what minor is Not bad advise mate! Had a 700hp version of that as a saloon awesome power! Cheers I'll Defoe check them out Yeah the sportbrake is a striking motor!
-
Must say after just having a extended test drive in the Jag it is awesome! The noise is just incredible, I'd have to disagree on the fun and skill thing though dude I had a massive smile on my face booting it and they are a right handful through the twisty honestly there is some skill in controlling 500+ lfbt through a pair of rear wheels lol The salesman almost lost it and we ended up doing a small drift lol Which merc dude please say C63 5.5 V8!!!!! Yeah totally agree now it was very comfortable and was still seriously quick once we were on the move! Just not sure whether to go with a 10/11 plate for 20-25k pre facelift or spend another 10k for a facelift. The pre facelift would be the safer bet with the new model coming out as far as deprecation is concerned, but I much prefer the gearbox in the facelift hmm decisions

I know, I know but partly its I have a bucket list of cars I want to own and partly I'm still looking for something that I really like! And I get bored very easy!!! Anyway enough of my 'issues' Jag or Audi lol

So thinking about changing the daily, so short recap went from single soop, to R34, R35, RS6 and now S5 Cab. Now within the last year been doing a lot of miles with work hence the the S5 which has been been a good Daliy I.e fuel, performance, comfort etc etc. However works changed again and I don't need to do the miles anymore so can go back to having a thirsty daily without worrying to much MPG etc. Keeping the R32 for a bit of fun as it really ticks the box and fills the R35 whole! So this is something to get me to work and back 12 mile commute and ferry the family about on occasion, no track work etc Fancy a change and have narrowed it down to a Jaguar XFR or and Audi S6 like this:- http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201505283839358/sort/pricedesc/make/audi/quicksearch/true/channel/cars/page/1/postcode/pr71re/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/usedcars/model/s6_saloon/radius/1500?logcode=p Or http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201505133415403/sort/pricedesc/postcode/pr71re/usedcars/model/xf/engine-size-cars/5lplus/onesearchad/used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew/page/5/make/jaguar/radius/1501/channel/cars?logcode=p Both can be tuned to about 550-600 and will be rapid but the Audi would be easier to handle as its 4wd. On the other hand the wife wants to finish the house with a rear extension which would mean either a A6 bitidi or an older XFR perhaps a preface lift model. All advice appreciated

Probably not everyone's cup of tea but I really like my S5. It's a good blend of practicality I.e. I can take the family out but then on my own it's a pretty quick (0-60 in 3.9) obviously mapped, pulley, miltek exhaust with a custom mid section etc etc sounds like this:- Only with this now as I've got the revo intake https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uhQpOy3LqYE Sounds mental!

Small turn out but was a nice meal with everyone Cheers Ian do like the noise of a turbo'd straight 6 I'll have to get Jackies photos off her

So I need some new wheels for the R32 GTR. Just wondering where to look. I'm after something good quality weds / rays volks / work etc and don't want to spend more than 1-5k? Quite like the following http://www.driftworks.com/work-wheels-emotion-cr-ultimate-kiwami.html in an 18x9.5 ET23 bronze but there is a big lead time Just wondering if there are any other recommendations Cheers Rob

Coolio matey although it might be in S5 cause the GTR is off the road atm

I never thought i'd love another GTR after the R35 and R34 but the R32 GTR I've got now is totally bonkers and just so involving as a drivers cars! Since selling my Supra I've just had fun bouncing around a few different cars that I've always wanted to own! Its just having a new set of boots and remap ready for some track action Anyway cheeky pictures of mine: http://www.harlow-jap-autos.co.uk/HJA058.050.JPG http://www.harlow-jap-autos.co.uk/HJA058.023.JPG http://www.harlow-jap-autos.co.uk/HJA058.010.JPG Thread:- http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?319995-New-toy-gone-old-school-R32-GTR-)
