    hello

Hello and welcome! Just IMO I would do a number of test drives! As I'm sure you are well aware the driving experience is very different from a high powered FWD to a powerful RWD. You may find a BPU 6 speed a good drive but perhaps a bit slow compared to your ZR. Many many moons ago I had a BRM and chap in the club had a Honda powered 200 (very similar platform) it was running 435hp and rapid! I would compare it a small ish single i.e. 575-600 hp. I went through about every stage with my Supra and it cost a small fortune so if you're after something rapid I would look for a ready done 6 speed small single. Then if you've not done something like this before I would do one of these:- http://www.catdrivertraining.co.uk/ Best mod you can do I'm sure I'll see you a NW meet Lol
  3. I might pop down if the cars back
  4. I had an open screamer on both the Supra and R34 GTR and never had a problem with the MOT at all. Worse case you could have it plumbed back in.
  5. This is great club and always will be I've nearly had my GTR a year now and its amazing, and there is plenty of 'soul' in it! But more importantly it makes me smile every time I drive it as did the Supra tbh in the early days! The difference right now is in the Supra I would have to take it easy i.e. RWD and high power! However in the GTR the traction is just amazing in the winter. The only thing I find with the GTR is that it is a bit boring when 'tinkering' is concerned The Supra was always in need of something but the GTR just works Lol
  6. Im working late that night but might pop down for a pudding
  7. It was and advisory from Rod when I took it into RB for the work, mine are drop in HKS iirc. I remember reading a few things about the stockies leaning out on once running intakes and stage 4 and high speed cornering. So for a few hundred quid I went for them although I'm sure the stock are fine
  8. Nice one Johnny stage 4 is epic isnt it Are you not changing the fuel pumps as the stockie seem to struggle over 600?
  9. Well done Johnny looks great mines defo silver anyway are you booked in for stage 4? If not why not lol

Really because in this video he say's "it feels analogue, mechanical and bloody fantastic". 5:00 onwards. JC is in the business of selling his opinions and he will say anything to sell dvd's I'm sure it would have been a different story at Goodwood, i.e. the guy would have just been going slower, there were plenty of novices on track at Cadwell and they were spinning off or going slower in RWD cars. The point is if the guy was with a load of other GTR's being driven by better drivers he would be the slowest! Like I said each to there own, Supra's are great cars... just enjoy it

    Supra or GT-R

Completely agree my 700hp r34 GTR cost way more than my R35 does! Funny that cause I find rwd boring as I cant corner as fast, but each to there own! Not sure your nan could take 1.3+ g my GTR was pulling round Cadwell cause I'm no where near an oap and my neck felt like it was going to snap! Never had that with the Supra! As long as you can handle the disappointment I'll be doing a good few track days next year come along

Interesting.... but it doesn't show you pulling away, its just a photo of you in front? plus it looks like a GTR not a Skyline and it could be stock for all we know
