  1. Thanks guys some really good advice that clear a few things up, i did'nt know that you could buy clone cables. I think i'm going to get an e-manage very soon. Where can you download the software for them from? Cheers
  2. Hi I sort of got that supra modifying bug! I just put on a 2nd de-cat pipe, mongoose Exhaust, Blitz induction and few other minor bits and pieces. I wanted to go the next stage and get a Greddy e-manage and a Profec E-01 boost controller. My questions are which bits of the e-manage kit do you really need? Also if I bought the main surpa harness are there still more wires to splice and install? Is it possible to set it up at home with my laptop and the support tool or is it better to take it some where to be installed? Does it do the job of a FCC? Would be ok to have it installed before the boost controller? And where is the cheapest/best place to buy the kit from? I'm sorry for all the questions, but when i tried researching this on the net and ring a few of the local tuning garages(I live near Preston) I’m getting a lot of conflicting advice and garage people who don't have a clue about this sort of thing!!! Thanks for any advice guys

  4. Hi got my new mongoose exhaust of my mate, I’ve got the 3" cat back section. But before I took of the old one I wanted to put a new gasket between the second cat and the mongoose, but when I have rang round my local garages etc no one could supply me with a new gasket, I live near Preston any ideas? Cheers guys!
  5. Cheers for the advice its good to hear that there's not much difference in performance between the nur spec and the mongoose! He's selling me the cat-back section of the exhaust and he's getting me a full de-cat section as well. I think i'll go for it as its a really good price. plus they seem easy to fit not that i've put one on before, can you get the gaskets from all the usual places i.e. halfords etc Thanks
  6. Hi I was hoping for some advice. I've had a bit of bad luck with my current cat back custom made SS exhaust system. So a mate of mine has offered me his Cat-back 3" mongoose for 100 pounds. My question is that I’ve heard (talking to a few guys at a couple of shows) that these exhausts are well made but don't really add much in the way of power or noise? Is this true and am I better waiting and saving up for a NUR Spec R etc? Plus what power could i achieve out of a stock car with mongoose and full de-cat? Cheers guys Thanks for any advice

Have a look at this, you need to go to the detail list and scroll down to the twin turbo section: http://www.tdi-plc.com/toyotaSupra_home.html It show the modification and the bhp that you get from it, i found it usefull when i started modding mine. Rob
  8. Hi I was hoping for a bit of advice. When I bought me Supra TT it was suppose to have had a full service ETC, but it is clear that the dealer I got it from was a bit of shark as the car has not been service for a good while. I wanted to get the supra properly serviced with a cam belt change somewhere I can trust! I live in the northwest, I’ve rang some local garages that say they are good with supras buy I’m being quoted prices like £425 to £500 quid, is this the right sort of price or am I being over charged? Could anybody recommend some one that could do a good job for a reasonable price? Thanks Guys Rob
  9. hi i was with direct line and i tried tesco and they said no as well i feel like a marked man! Cheers
  10. hi i've had my supra now for about 5 months and its time to renew my insurance and my current will not renew and i car'nt find an insurance company that will. Does anybody know any insurance that will. . I'm 24 years old, 6 years no claims, no convictions or accidents. my supra is twin turbo import. Cheers Rob
  11. Thanks for all the advise, from reading other people experiences etc, I think it may be combination of things, the auto box, tyres and the traction control system. What seems to happen say at 40mph on a straight road in the dry,(i.e. today) is that the auto box puts it into first gear and there is a massive surge of power and straight away the back end starts stepping out, then the traction control kicks in which seems to cut the power all together which makes it worse because you can’t steer the car on the power and back end just breaks away! I think i may invest in the rltc and some different tyres Thanks a lot.
  12. I was hoping that somebody could help. I’ve have a twin turbo RZ auto and was warned before buying it, that the it could be a bit tail happy!!! What an under statement!!! (Great Fun Though!) What are the best ways of stopping the embarrassing situation of the car spinning around 180 when you floor it any where between 30 – 50 mph (I have never floored it in the wet at these speed yet!). I'm currently run 255/17" Yokohama tyres on the back Sorry for all the questions but also does anybody know of any good supra mechanics in the northwest for changing cam belts etc! Cheers Guys
  13. Thanks Guys that makes me feel better, i do just use it for short journeys! I live round Preston are there any club meets round here?
  14. Hi, Can anybody help me. I bought a few months ago a 1995 twin turbo RZ and every weekend I check the oil, water etc. Over the last few weeks occasionally I have been getting small white splodges on my engine oil filer cap inside. Normally I would say that this was a sign of emulsification, i.e. coolant is mixing with the oil(very bad thing). I have been checking the coolant level and it has not gone down any, that I can tell with a visual inspection. Is this a sign that the cylinder head gasket is starting to blow or something is wrong with the oil etc? Can anybody help? is there a sure way of checking if the cylinder head gasket is blown etc? cheers
