Any decent human being will be of the opinion that racism is wrong. Without sounding like I condone racism of any kind, this kind of (to me) illustrates the Suarez case. You call a black person a monkey and you're likely to be called racist (due to the history of the action) - fair enough, correct. But call a kid a cheeky monkey and it's affectionate. Would you call a black kid a cheeky monkey? Under the opinions of the Suarez case, it's the use of the word that is racist. Therefore, how can you acceptably call a child a cheeky monkey?

I'm not at all saying Everton fans are more racist than Liverpool, seems like you're implying the opposite to me hence why i'm getting wound up. With diverse fan bases, I think it's impossible to group a club's supporters as being more racist than others.

From my point of view, you're typing words to say one thing while also having digs at the same time. Seems a contradiction to me. Liverpool did this, Liverpool did that. Their fans think this, they think that. As I've said earlier, take a cross section of a lot of fans and there won't be much difference. Surprised it's not moved onto Liverpool as a city being racist, that'd then have you grouped in with me, which i'm sure you wouldn't appreciate either.

You're missing the point. Yeah Liverpool fans gave Barnes stick, so did many general England fans. You continually criticise Liverpool fans while seemingly holding a moral high ground regarding your own fans. EVERY club has it's idiots, it's racists, it's hooligans. I won't go into the abuse I've had thrown at me at different grounds, including outside Goodison, so it's a pointless exercise. However, if you get your jollies from Liverpool bashing then go ahead, I'm gonna do my best to ignore if from now on before I get wound up.

Not at all Col. Evra has been booed a few times in the past, this isn't the first time. It was more prolonged this time but to say it was simply because of the Suarez thing only isn't true.

Evra wasn't being booed because of the Suarez thing, he always gets booed at Liverpool. Granted the Suarez case just meant it happened during the whole game as Liverpool still believe he's full of crap, causing the "there's only one lying bas*ard" chants. Fact is Liverpool fans and United fans don't like each other, each boo each others player. Same way Man United pick out Gerrard for the "you scouse bas*ard" chants.

It seems like everyone wants this to be black and white with no grey area inbetween. I wasn't saying that Caceres was black, it's about the banner and the fact that is has the word "negro" in it. Does the team using the word in reference to another player (whether he's black or not) make them racist? Same way as any black rapper using the word "nigg*r" in rap songs. Don't forget Suarez is of black origin. How come the Chelsea fans aren't being tainted with the same generalised tones? Or is sending Ferdinand a bullet and singing songs about him ok?

So can you explain why the language experts and Poyet etc have a different opinion to you? Can you also explain why a team-mate is referred to as the monkey? Or are all these people racist too? Without stirring up the whole Suarez argument again, Liverpool still believe from knowing the guy that it was a case of ignorance and not hatred. Before you say ignorance is no excuse, you then have to start bringing proceedings against anyone who's told a joke about Scotmen, made references to the Welsh and sheep and anyone who's used the word "fag" for cigarette. How many have seen him? All eyes are towards the game except the one woman on the right who looks shocked. How many Londonders have criticized John Terry? I could now start judging all Londonders as racist as JT is from there. Evra was always going to get booed as he always does at Liverpool, same as Rooney, same as Neville.

All football crowds should also be given the same attention as Liverpool are getting too. Or is anyone stupid enough / narrow-minded enough to believe Liverpool are the only club who have a few idiots in a 40,000+ crowd?
