    Mines ECU info

sorry mate, dont panic or do too much with your error codes. I just checked my ECU. Now i know i had a mines ECU once upon a time. I must of been very drunk when i fitted this one as it is a Blitz access!?!?!?! i better start again
  3. going to leave it overnight and try tomorrow evening mate. Thing is, the ECU might be ok but is trying to tell me something else is wrong. It just dont speak a language we understand

    Mines ECU info

so far all that i have managed to do is work out that, on the Mines, code 31 is TPS fault. I am struggling to reset the error codes even after removing ALL EFI fuses. That means the old codes are still stored. I will try and get some more codes tomorrow.
  5. right then, today i tried reseting the ECU but i can not get rid of the stored codes. I removed all the fuses labelled EFI for a good 3-4 minutes but when i check the error codes before i even start the engine, the same codes are still there. I think i need to get hold of a standard j-spec ecu and work out what is wrong form the error codes indicated on that.

    Mines ECU info

when i get a chance i am going to reset my mines ecu and simulate various errors by disconnecting sensors. Hopefully i can start to draw up a list of mines error codes. Then maybe i can work out what is wrong with my Soop then
  7. Currently trying to sort a few issues with the Soop but getting odd error codes from my mines ECU. Has anyone else ever had odd error codes or have they been the same codes that correspond to the standard codes? Any comment on the Mines apreciated.
  8. have you ever checked yours for error codes? Might be worth disconnecting your TPS plug to see if it comes up with code 31 to confirm they all do the same
  9. this is what i have done today: Started and ran on idle for a few mins with no problem. I then disconnected the throttle postion plug. The revs increased slightly but still idled ok. Connected it back up and revs dropped back down again. Then checked what code that revealed and it was 31. Different to the code which i already have so does that mean i can rule out my TPS?
  10. no mate, the ECU has been on for about 4 years. I origionally bought it to save having the FCD fitted as the one i had was dodgy.
  11. bloody hell. Just tried connecting the terminals used for the VVTI error code check and it worked! It is a Mines ECU that i have had foir about 4 years. I got codes 32, 63, and 64 as far as i could tell.
  12. yeah, tried that the other week when i cleaned the IACV. Could it be a connector somewhere that has gone brittle or a sensor which is buggered? If so which one lol
  13. right then, i have aquired a works van so time to sort out my niggling problems with the Soop. There are five main problems and i am not sure if they are all related.I will list the problems and then what i have already done or checked. 1 - Every now and then it idles very low and lumpy. Easiest way to spot there is a problem is that my blitz turbo timer keeps increasing (the time that is) as if the engine is really working hard. 2 - Over the last week i have noticed that at randon the engine suddenly revs/idles higher. Up to about 1500rpm from the normal 700. It only does it it for a few seconds before dropping back down to 700. 3 - First time it has done this, but today, i was moving the car and left it idling for a about 30 secs after start up, when it stalled. Them it was a right bugger to start. Took about 10secs to fire up. 4 - Last one. Every now and then i spot a little puff of blue smoke out of the exhaust. Just about every time when i have prob 1 and on warm days when i pop it into reverse on my drive after a 15 min run. Probably happens more but i am never usually looking behind me 5 - Now and then i get a bit of a missfire and Kangaroo effect when driving round town. It only lasts a few seconds, then i boot it in anger lol Now for what i have checked. Cleaned out the IACV thing at back of the Throttle body, cleaned the O2 sensor on the downpipe. Changed plugs and have tried checking error codes but i must have bad solder as no lights came on at all Any help and advise is welcome and very apreciated as none of these problem are helping convince the mrs that we should not part chop the Soop for an Audi . From what i have read, idling problems can be caused by one of a million things so i am getting confused.
  14. Does anyone have any standard front speaker grills that they do not want? Cash waiting
  15. Yeah, still around but less active these days. Gone are the days when i could just spend all my cash on the Soop Anyway, good luck with the sale. I love myRidox roof spoiler, makes a change from being plain.
  16. Thought it was worth asking [GRIN][/GRIN] Friday 26th June in Budapest. About 8 o'clock in the evening. Only been in the country about 20mins and felt right at home straight away To be fair, it was the only Supra i saw all week
  17. Has anyone got any tips on how to, or tools to use, to make removing the ICV and O2 sensor easier? I am going to service both to try help to solve by lumpy idle problem. I can see the O2 sensor but it is really difficult to get at from above. ?I think i will need some small philips head pieces for my super small ratchet for the ICV

  20. Probably means nothing to anyone on here but BURTON ALBION are champions of the Blue square conference. Football league here we come WWWOOOOooooHHHOooooooo!
  21. Check out my garage pics. Genuine Carbon Ridox kit fitted. The most up to date pics are the ones with Racing Hart wheels.
  22. Any luck finding them mate?
  23. nice one. I have got the MDF mounts at the minute but one of my 6.5" speakers has pulled out of it and ruined it. Getting lazy, so for the time being was just going to fit the standard ones back in. At least they wont fall out all the time until i can be arsed to make a new set of brackets.
