  1. I am a man of zero power I'm afraid. I'm a contractor as well. RBS have just imposed a 10% rate cut on all contract staff which isn't great. But there's a hell of a lot of work on at the moment due to the integration with ABN Amro. I can recommend my Agency though. They've been pretty good and take you out for lunch alot. (752 Solutions)
  2. Contractors run the company. It's the permies who are the hangers on and need clearing out. IMHO Come and work for RBS up at Islington. Same pay as in the City but better food.
  3. There were alot of very unhappy people milling around outside Lehmans tonight when I walked past on my way to the station. Another back will buy them out. Just depends on what terms.
  4. They usually start really early in the morning too. Don't know if getting up at the crack of sparrow-f@rt is your thing.
  5. The page source also shows some javascript which attempts to figure out whether world has ended or not. If the "worldHasEnded" variable is set then it'll display "Yup."
  6. Very good. Brightened my morning up greatly.
  7. That's a nice looking car. I just sold a 94 GZ in silver and would have much rather it was black. (Just in the process of importing a black SZ-R from Jurgen now) Good luck with the sale.
  8. My response to this sort of call is to say: "Can you hold a minute, I just need to turn the cooker off...." Put the receiver down on the table and then go back and watch telly. After a while they give up and hang up. Hopefully never to call again.
  9. Check the stabiliser which connects to the 1st cat. Mine broke and once the car warmed up made a hell of a rattle.
  10. Perhaps it'll catch on. BPU could before RPU - Rocket Performance Upgrade.
  11. For me, Mr. Van Halen will always be the man.
  12. That's a great video. I'd love to have been able to play like that.
  13. It's a shame you don't get to hear Spitfire's these days on full boost and at max rpm. That would have sounded utterly amazing. They only ever run them at half power now and at about 6 lb of boost.
  14. Awesome pics. Many thanks for those. I got two Haynes manuals for my birthday, one for the Spitfire and the other of the Lancaster bomber. Excellent stuff.
  15. It takes years of practice to get good at it. Takes a while to lose the feeling in the tips of your fingers so that playing for hours doesn't hurt like hell. I wasted my youth playing the electric guitar, trying to be Joe Satriani, Stevie Vai, Van Halen, James Hetfield, etc. Havn't played in years now though, still got the guitar and amp tucked away someplace I believe. (Unless the wife has had a clear out)
  16. My old car had Veilside fibreglass skirts on and they were cracked and spiderwebbed like crazy. Never went near a track or drove particularly quickly. I'd only consider OEM skirts and spats.
  17. Paul Whiffin has them advertised on his site.
  18. Really glad that it's fixed now mate. You were sorely missed at JAE. Where did you get the work done? I heard that Bibby had gone under.
  19. PAYE = ~40% Ltd Company = ~35% Umbrella Company = ~18% If you're interested in the last option then PM me and I can give you details of scheme.
  20. A mint, 1998, black, 6-speed SZ-R with low mileage, OEM skirts/spats, 17 inch OEM wheels, OEM big brakes and full history. Santa Jurgen will hopefully be popping one down my chimney.
