  1. My '05 Land Cruiser does this also, but the Supra never does.
  2. Nice one. Thanks for the photo.
  3. So do you just undo the bolts which go into the black metal rings, then put the strut brace on and put the bolts back in? Simple as that is it? My worry would be that I'd undo the bolts and something would drop out underneath the car!
  4. Word of advice.... Write everything down that happened, note down every phone conversation with whoever you have the problem with. Get as much information as possible and keep it as bullet points and not long paragraphs.
  5. Me too...... example: approaching roundabout at speed, click overdrive off, brake hard and click into 2nd and turn, get back on the gas to hold the speed round the roundabout (RLTC holding the rear-end in nicely) .... and then floor it on exit......click back into drive and put overdrive on again whilst hammering away from the roundabout.
  6. Sorry to go slightly off-topic but .... how much are a set of hard pipes to replace the standard rubber ones? (I have a CW SMIC and still have the OEM IC pipe work)
  7. Mine did exactly this after I had a service in November last year. I thought it was a belt slipping because the weather had changed and it only happened after the engine had warmed up. The noise also changes depending on engine load. Then I took the car out for a spin with a mate and gave it some noodle when suddenly there a loud bang. Turned out the pulley had detached from the crank. £400 repair bill to sort that out. I'm afraid that there's no easy way to fix this. My advice would be to get the cambelt changed at the same time, as to replace the crank shaft pulley you've done 90% of the work needed to change the cambelt. (My garage removed the radiator to do this work as well)
  8. I'll get some pictures tomorrow and get them posted up.
  9. Fair comment. Teach me to post after drinking a bottle of red wine. Original post has been amended.
  10. I so don't like those current generation Celicas. Much prefer the older versions.
  11. Very soon I'm replacing my current wheels with new wheels and possibly tyres. So I would like to know if anyone would be interested in my current set of wheels/tyres. In fact closer to the truth you'd probably only be interested in the tyres really. The reason for this is that two of the wheels are knackered. One is buckled and the other in flat-spotted. (Hence why my nice insurance company is buying me a nice shiny new set) So the wheels are not much good. They still drive. Sort of. The rear which is flat-spotted vibrates a bit at around 60mph and the warped front one... well I don't know. Being warped a bit can't really help matter can it. They might be ok for track use. The key thing here though is the tyres. They are Goodyear Eagle F1s. They've probably got another 6 months driving in them but really I'm selling them for track use. In anyone fancies a free set of wheels with some reasonable track rubber on them then let me know. At the moment I just need to know if anyone is interested because it may affect my decision as to whether I have these tyres fitted to my new rims. Six months use is six months use after all. Collection only I'm afraid, and I'm in Colchester, Essex. All offers considered.

    Nightmare.

Stop eating cheese before you go to bed! Cheese always gives me terrible weird dreams. Funnily enough last night I dreamt about fitting a huge single turbo to my car. I woke up with the feeling that I'd forgotten something. Then I realised that I'd been dreaming about all the bits which would need upgrading..... I really shouldn't think about these things before I go to sleep at night.
  13. Great video. Nice work.
  14. I spent most of my youth trying to play like all three of those guys. Malmsteen has turned into a bit of a chubster in recent years though. But boy can he still play.
  15. Anyone seen any of G3? (Satriani, Vai and Malmsteen) It's priceless stuff.
  16. Anyone know how much TO4Z's are?
  17. If my CW SMIC can cope with 550-600 then I'll not be fitting a FMIC when I go single. Other than the looks, why would I. The choice is more difficult if your starting position is a knackered old OEM SMIC. EDIT: I can't believe I've killed another thread. I'm the kiss of death for threads.... when will I learn.
  18. Just as an aside I guess we're lucky that we're choosing between side mount and front mount. Both are directly in the airflow. GT4s and Scoobies are top mounted and then it's a must to move it off of the hot engine and into some decent airflow.
  19. I guess it depends how far you want to take it. Hybrids use all the same pipework and setup you have as standard. A single requires alot more work. If my turbos failed then I personally would get a single fitted because the cost of hybrids is pretty close to a single anyway. I guess it depends how many of the other mods you have which you would need to go single.
  20. One day I'm going to need to own an R33 GTR. Love 'em to bits. Couldn't afford one at the moment though. It's an itch I'm going to have to scratch.
  21. Get yourself a baffle for the exhaust and save yourself all the agro. That's what I did. I couldn't be bothered starting a war over it. (Just read the whole thread. As you've got a baffle I'd fit it and go down the pub and have a few pints. Leave her to her miserable life)
  22. That's exactly what I need to do. My car is lowered and has Veilside skirts and spats. It really need the black lip painted silver. I'm still toying with the idea of having an active spoilter fitted. It doesn't look like it comes down that much from that picture. Is that fully extended?
  23. That Audi is a very fast child scaring device. Imagine being beaten by a family estate car. The shame.
  24. That is one of the most gorgeous Supras I've ever seen. Outstanding, and worth every penny.
