1. cheeky bugger, He's done such a good job, Rob can come and do mine. looks good Rob ........mine's still quicker:p
2. hi, we did a similar trip for our honeymoon, hired a car for the week. Starting with 2 nights in San Fransisco ( didn't use the car much, parking can be a nightmare) Drove down the coast road overnighting at santa barbara ( nice but expensive), Then LA for a night (wan't that impressed, altough studied a nice veyron on Rodeo drive) & three nights in vegas. (Red rock and grand canyons are impressive, just like the westerns, But the grand canyon's a long drive) Driving was easy, as Thomo says, get a good sat nav ( remember to change states) also remember you pay for your fuel before you pump first in most places . Hiring a fairly large 4 x 4 was around £500 for the week. hope this helps
3. I feel very sorry for Dave, poor bugger. He'll need a holiday after this:)
4. Regarding Gromit, never even spent one night out. he used to be back every couple of hours like clockwork, just to check if someone was home. He would even run to meet me when he heard the car comming around the corner...silly bugger:) something drastic must have happened for him to dissappear so suddenly
5. they're not just large.......I couldn't believe the size of her fully grown breeding male. He'd scare some dogs they might be large, but they have fantastic temperaments. breeder is Mrs J Haynes phone 01455221755 Jane is building a new web site at the moment, but there are some details on there http://www.dairymainecoons.co.uk She is one of the better breeders in the Maine coon cat club give Jane a ring, very helpfull lady
6. it's a real shame aboiut Gromit, he had the most fantastic temperament, we think he was stolen, just dissappeared one morning. we thought Gromit was big........the mother of this pair is 9kg, and their dad is 14kg. absolutely huge btw thw one of the breeder's other queens is due to have a litter in the next week or two if anyone is interested
7. Gromit has been missing for 6 weeks now....... so we decided to get two this time....both Maine coons again This time red with white & red/silver & white Scooby & Shaggy.....in a very quiet moment, they're a pair of houligans[GRIN][/GRIN]
8. not to worry Johnny, air from horns that size will make the car go backwards:D
9. There was a case of clostridium botulinum ( very nasty food related bacteria) in chocolate a couple of years ago. This bug CAN kill you if not caught quickly, best before dates are usually for quality / spoilage reasons.
10. usual place is in one of the rear wings behind the panel, normally left side. There should also be a fuel cut box for the fuel pump
11. how old is your system?, could be that your main battery is getting very low & that the back-up battery is low/ dying as well. Matt harwood used to say that the back-up battery should be checked every 3 years or so
