  1. Nothing is better then the quality feeling you get when you recieve a HKS product
  2. Usually we are way below zero with lots of snow, but at the moment it has been between 5-9 'C on the hot side of the scale.
  3. I planned on putting the car in winter storage. But it's been much warmer here than I thought it would be, so I have used the car a few times.
  4. Read through the whole thread! Really enjoyable to see the whole progress of an engine build
  5. Thank you very much :-) I doubt I will lower it any time soon as the roads here are in poor condition.
  6. Okay after some hours on google I read that a guy had his battery out and as a result the ECU got reset and the car idled low for a while before going back to normal a couple of days later. While I flushed the reservoir I also had the battery out (twice). Could this be the cause of my idle problem?
  7. As some of you know I have issues with my power steering pump which I will be replacing soon. I tried to flush out the reservoir earlier and after that I got Idle problems, instead of 1800-1900 rpm on cold start it starts at 1100 and goes down to 500 very quickly. As I am BPU my normal max turbo pressure is 1.2 Bar now it won't go higher then 1 bar. The car feels normal and pulls strong. I've been looking for cracked vacuum hoses for hours without finding anything, so if anyone has a good starting points I'd be very happy.
  8. Welcome to the forum! Nice looking car you got, and hopefully it will be an easy fix to get it back on the road :-)
  9. Looking great! Keep up the good work :-)
  10. It's the stickied topics in the Club Calendar sub-forum. Took a while before I found them as well
  11. Voted! Very nice pictures and cars in all the categories!
  12. Did that first thing this morning and it ran great at 1900 rpm on cold start, so I turned it off right away. To say I am happy is an understatement as I doubt I would have had the knowledge to go looking for vacuum leaks other broken stuff.... Could the PS pump cause this? I could turn the wheel easily by hand. The old and new oil could have reacted on each other in a bad way? Anyway I will empty the whole system off oil and clean the PS reservoir properly again and fit the new pump when it arrives and refill with new oil. Any advice/tricks when doing this?
  13. I checked back on the car today and the steering is very heavy and the car is not idling right. No bubbles in the system at all. Normally it will go to 1800-1900 rpm when cold and slowly decrease in rpm while getting hotter. Now it cranks and starts at 1100 rpm and goes down to 400-500 rpm right away. I did not remove any vacuum lines when flushing the reservoir. But I did disconnect the connectors on the boxes on the shock tower (igniter and one more box) and bent the harness away to get access to the reservoir. I did however find a small rubber cap under there that I don't know where it belongs. So I don't really know how to go from here.
  14. When reading through the workshop manuals the GT and the GTE pumps are not the same. http://www.97supraturbo.com/1997%20Service%20Manual/Steering.pdf
  15. Welcome! good luck on your search :-)
  16. Thank you very much for explaining Chris! I'll be gone for the weekend so I will try the car on Tuesday :-) I supposed I have to bleed it another time as well?
  17. Flushed out of the fluid reservoir and bleed the system today, topped it off with Dex VI. Whining noice went away, but it does still make some noise. Steering got much heavier, feeling like I don't have any when moving at speed. I also read in the manual to pinch a hose from the pump that goes to the manifold with steering at lock to see if engine RPM changes. Nothing changed what so ever, but it will start stalling if I disconnect the hose from inlet manifold. So I do not know what to do now before I get the second pump and try to change that and change all the fluid in the system.
  18. I don't know if you have taken the cats off, but I did it on my car with the front on jack stands. I don't recommend it as the bolts on the first cat is a pita to reach with little space under the car. I will do it on a lift next time! Regardless on how you do I'd recommend to use safety goggles to avoid getting sand in your eyes. I did and it was not fun!
  19. Welcome! I also used to own an S2000 before getting the Supra, was a great car but the Supra is in a league of its own Hopefully you'll find your dream car very soon!
  20. Good progress so far Keep up the good work!
