  1. Il check it out how much did the respray set you back? Price seems to vary a lot! [emoji28]
  2. good to meet you guys, the stand looks awesome! for anyone debating going my advice is do it.. its such a good show! (I was with Josh today btw in case you're wondering who this is)
  3. as above my paintwork on the supra is looking a little tired and thin in places.. im looking to get the car resprayed.. possibly a colour change.. 202 black to a metallic black.. anyone got anywhere they would recommend I am particularly fussy about good paintwork as I'm a bit of a detailing freak pictures, contact details and price guesstimates would be lovey dont mind travelling for a good job
  4. if i see the words "my NA/T guy" one more time I may just take a screwdriver to my eyes! why bother asking us mere mortals if you can ask him ! :')
  5. Nail on head.. your NA/T man sounds like a bit of a dribbler fit an oil cooler if you want to reduce oil temps.. the NA/T especially the XS kit DO suffer with hotter oil temps.. for obvious reasons.. look at where the drain is and how tight/how much is touching the manifold etc fitting an oil cooler with proper thermostatic plate is an upgrade worth doing IMO but I havent done it yet.. my NA/T man is me.. ive fitted mine and got it mapped by one of the best mappers in the country and its performed flawlessly for the last year its been done.. at 450bhp - 500lbft on a full face spec 3+ clutch.. near oem feel and holds the power well
  6. It's a great shout I've driven Josh's motor and it's lovely.. Spec stage 3+ is similar will do it too no problems mine is handling 500lbft no dramas and it's a really smooth engagement
  7. I think tbf mate I'm going to live with my rebuilt one I have at the moment and then get this one rebuilt as a spare whilst I hunt for a 6 speed.. Think it's the only way really to reliably hold good power in a way that doesn't ruin drivability etc
  8. Yeah they are cheap.. They've rebuilt the box that I have in now which seems to be taking the abuse well and countless other boxes for me in the past would definitely recommend them
  9. Joking aside it could do with being turned down a tad.. This was gregs idea of a limited map.. Still I think it's really a hint to go 6 speed and let him loose with it again
  10. It's at 1.2 bar I think mate.. Are you running similar spec?
  11. Haha....Yes it would..... Next question [emoji23][emoji23]
  12. so first of all.. it came back from mapping with slight issues after a long time on the dyno so I think that MAY well have something to do with it but yeah.. this hahaa https://vimeo.com/141857693 an answer machine message I got earlier.. [video=youtube;-4FYYwy0_b4] by the way.. agency transmissions.. top bloke! VERY knowledgeable and straight talking.. been doing it for 40 years or something daft would certainly recommend think I will get it rebuilt tbh for £350 not a bad quote
  13. Thought I would put up my dyno graph on here.. see what you think.. Here is a few shots of my NA/T build Pulling it apart Engine out Great help from my good friends! good clean up and paint new engine back in and getting there all back in first start : done as she stands now at Cars in the park - Lichfield. my NA/T went for mapping at ProTuner and greg did a fantastic job with it getting it sorted he was really suprised by the set up too I think and commented on how well it performed after being a bit skeptical of the turbo and piggy back set up. part throttle mapping is beautiful and very smooth, turbo spools well and pulls very hard indeed!! anyway.. spec as follows Engine: TT HG ARP Head bolts Standard GE head and internals XS Power T61 Turbo + manifold TiAL 44mm MVS Wastegate 650cc Siemens DEKA injectors K&N Cone filter HKS Hi power silent system Walbro 255 and fuel damper delete Listers motorsport braided lines and AN fittings Driftworks supercool rad management is greddy emanage ultimate with greddy profec OLED Spec Stage 3+ clutch linked to a w58 (im now on my second box) After greg at protuner did an absolutely stunning job sorting the wiring, doing the 12v fuel pump mod, and mapping it properly.. the map is both smooth and savage.. top work! although now I need a v16* more than ever!! anyway here is the dyno print
  14. I didn't know anything about it either just looked at the page !
  15. Ahh shame! It is a bit last minute! Jus spent the afternoon cleaning mine
  16. Anyone going to the meet at the ace cafe on Monday?
  17. yeah its picking that box! so many options! R154 or maybe something different Tremec T56 Magnum maybe.. Need to have a go in a car with an R154 as ive heard they can be a bit industrial! yeah your engine is going well mate
  18. Bmw boxes would be ace as they are SO much cheaper it's just getting them to fit well and still being street friendly! Probably mate..! I know of several costly mistakes with engines going pop recently I am lucky I got away with it!
  19. You are correct Matt! p.s I AM going to steal your wheels at some point in the night.. Had some issues with the car recently.. Some of you may have seen my post in the technical part asking for any suggestion to as why it was missing it's tits off around 4krpm.. Even Greg couldn't work it out to start with.. And well the issue was that the emanage was wired in wrong and tuned wrong by someone on here.. Air temp and water temp weren't connected at all although there were values in the compensation tables for them and there was something very weird set up for knock control.. And the lambda sensor was wired in wrong.. And it needed 12v relay for the fuel pump.. All in all you get what you pay for I guess.. Greg at protuner took his time but did a very good job with it in the end diagnosing and correcting things! Will still upgrade the emanage to a decent standalone after I've swapped the gearbox Which leads me to the next BIG problem.. My w58 has well and truely shat itself [emoji21] https://vimeo.com/128775003 Was always going to happen tbh but I think probably the dyno load from the tuning killed it amongst other things.. So.. Going to be off the road for a bit now but gives me a chance to sort some of the little niggles whilst I save some cash for a upgrade.. What I don't know yet.. Leaning towards R154 at the moment
  20. Okay well the issue was that the emanage was wired in wrong and tuned wrong by someone on here.. Air temp and water temp weren't connected although there were values in the compensation tables for them and there was something very weird set up for knock control.. All in all you get what you pay for I guess.. Greg at protuner took his time but did a very good job with it in the end diagnosing and correcting things! Will still upgrade the emanage to a decent standalone after I've swapped the gearbox
  21. Greg at protuner is having troubles mapping my emanage.. It's running well on the dyno 430bhp and 500lbft but for some reason it sometimes has like a limp mode and hits a limiter around 4k on the road it's really odd.. ! Have no idea what's causing it.. Said there is no water temp signal could that be it? Very annoying.. It's been there almost a month now
