  1. My flatmate had these in his GT-Four (But a cloth version). I just asked him what he thought of them and he said "You get what you pay for." They met their demise when he launched the car, the back of the seat gave way and he ended up sitting in the back of the car. Good luck!
  2. Cheers, but I miss the wing! I was driving beside my old black Supra before I sold it, saw the spoiler and decided I have to have it back at some point. Maybe I'll 'grow out of it' or something, but it needs to come back for me
  3. Now I've finally calmed down at my car (hosing problem with 2nd turbo, keeping it stored until I've got the time to fix it.) I've also been thinking about refurbishing my wheels, as one of the previous owners seems to have been a little too happy to get close to kerbs. Just to have a sanity check, does anybody think that having dark grey/gunmetal wheels (possibly with a decal of sorts down a spoke?) looks stupid, or should I go for it? I'll probably be looking to get a set of stock wheels for such a time when I feel like having an almost standard car.
  4. Interesting to see. I was thinking of getting my Rota GTRs re-painted at some point in the future, but Silver looks so...clean on the 1A1.
  5. If you weren't so far away I'd say we could meet up to get a picture
  6. Generally people recommend the Chris Wilson fast road pads, discs I'm not so sure on.

    Collectible Supra

'95 registered factory 1A1 here. (J-Spec) Edit: Ignore this, manufactured '94.
  8. That looks amazing. Might have to go over mine once I get it back in shape

    Blue paint job

No it won't look like the Lambo, but I'd hazard a guess at it being the same colour
  10. Every time someone mentions Rota wheels, you get the same pictures posted. I've seen far worse from the 'big' named brands and the difference I noticed when I had expensive Advans compared to Rotas? None. Rotas were nicer looking, though.
  11. Not the same company I ordered an Aerokit bumper years ago for my MR2 and had it fitted at the bodyshop next door to KR (seperate company), didn't come from anywhere near KR.
  12. Hmm, might I ask which pipe that was? Edit: Going to get a beer and drink away my grumpy-ness from today. Then, I'll start afresh trying to fix it tomorrow. If I don't have any luck, I'll see about getting it back to the garage ASAP, although I shouldn't waste another penny on it. My main trouble is if I sold it, I'd never find something as fast, fun and comfortable as the Supra for anywhere near the same money
  13. They didn't run it on a dyno. I'm running that DSBC from yours
  14. I said before it went away for the repair "If something goes wrong, anything, within the first month after I get it back, it's going!" and I'm sort of holding myself to that The mechanic assures me it was boosting happily to a stable 1.2 bar when it left the garage, so it sounds like something, somewhere has popped off. The boost controller, despite being plumbed in correctly, does not yield any changes in boost pressure no matter what the settings are. At least I've got something to go on now! (Only just got the text back) That said, the first thing I checked was all the vac hoses... Done that, same results!
  15. Yup, that's exactly how mine is at the minute. (The pictures) So how did you end up fixing it?
  16. I suppose the diaphragm could be tested by blowing down a vac hose in to the actuator and seeing if the pressure comes out the other side, right? Thanks for the help by the way
  17. Which parts would I move by hand? The 'sticks' that come out of the actuators? And yes, if it's not a driveway fix, it's 100% gone
  18. It does the exact same thing. It boosts to 0.84 bar peak, then drops from there down to around 0.4-0.5 bar. In short, I've run out of money. This car has cleaned me out for everything I had just to buy it and get it repaired 2 weeks after I bought it, so it has to go really.
  19. Right, I think I've done it right (not that I really understood what I was doing) and the car feels exactly the same. This leads me to believe either I've done it wrong or the 2nd turbo still isn't moving. It is notably louder, though. :|
  20. I attempted to do this and I couldn't find half of the things he has labelled in this guide : http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/articles/andy.htm But I'll go out and have another try now I've calmed down a bit. Not going to lie, I'm furious right now. Just spent £1500+ getting the turbos repaired and it's far worse now than it was when it went away Renamed thread a bit more appropriately.
  21. Right, not sure why the second turbo isn't coming online then. The connector on top of the unit comes off REALLY easily so I have a feeling that may be worn, but even so, I'm a bit sick of repairing cars now
  22. Tried looking over both of them, seems the IACV isn't working. Hopefully it's an easy fix or it's the end of the line for me and Supras
  23. Hi guys, Recently had a turbo rebuild and now my car won't boost past 0.7 bar or so and once it's up to pressure, it simply drops off down to about 0.4 bar at higher RPMs. From what I can gather, the second turbo simply isn't coming on, so an inspection brought up this: ...is something supposed to be there? If so, where does it go? Cheers guys
  24. Even if it doesn't it shouldn't be too hard to make it fit.
  25. I think I'm out of the country then, but if I'm not, I'll definitely head on down
