  1. Wow! she is looking amazing now pal. Just glad that she is doing you proud
  2. Its looking good m8. Very good indeed! I reckon the performance will increase slightly with a full service. I would also recommend a quick check of the iridium plugs , as a quick clean may be needed. How did you get all the coating off the dash so quickly? FYI, I always hated the razo pedals too. Lol.
  3. It does look stunning now m8. I did my best to keep her in good trim (if you ignore the dent that someone added for me) but it will look so much better after a proper detail. Always used PTFE sealant and high content carnauba wax. SHINY is good. Next thing i would do to proper top it off would be the alloy refurb or swap. What are your thoughts on the alloys? I always liked them in the light gun metal. I am 99% sure that they are AVS model 7. They are pretty lightweight for 18"s
  4. The paint correction that you have done on it makes all the difference! What is the next thing that you have got planned for it then? i look forward to the progress. Is this going to be your project thread?
  5. i forgot to mention 1 thing to you before you drove off (don't worry its not a bad thing) As you may or may not have noticed on your drive home the car still has the original japanese speed limiter on it. Unless you were trying to get above 115mph (i am sure you weren't) you would not have noticed. Just thought i should mention it.
  6. uk lights fit and is a straight swap. did it to mine and it made all the difference to the way the car looked and the actual performance of the headlight. i.e. you will be able to see at night ... which is a bonus!
  7. how the hell did that happen? More to the point what did it to hit the bonnet there? (van / reversing lorry) gutted for you m8. I had a not too dissimilar thing happen to me (only the front wing tho). Good luck getting it sorted and you can only hope that Karma will come back around to the people that do these things.
  8. glad to hear that you got back safe and that the work has already begun. Can't wait to see the pics of it go up after the paint correction. i went out yesterday afternoon and after many hours of looking around for another car and sulking that non of them were anything like the supra i settled on a very nicely kept low mileage Focus ST170. Still quick but more practical. Problem is i now have to wait until wednesday to get my hands on it.
  9. me neither but i am having supra withdrawal symtoms already
  10. So far i have sold my SZ-R for a grand total of about 1hr and i am already looking at what else is around. found this thought i might be of interest to someone. If someone would buy this, it would remove temptation for me!
  11. N/A 5speed SZ-R didn't put it up in the sale threads as i hadn't really thought about selling it seriously but a few ppl got wind of a pending sale and snapped it up. Rich (previous owner of the nugget yellow supra) bought it. So its gone to a good home and i get chance keep up with his project on it
  12. Just sold my SZ-R to Rich. Absolute torture watching him drive away in it but i hope he gets as much fun out of if as i did. Nice to meet Josh and his gf too. Wish you many happy years of motoring with it and i look forward to seeing the project thread. sad to see her go  i will still be sticking around the forum and putting some stuff up for sale
  13. its good to know. I will swap out the fluid and bleed to see if it solves the problem. If it doesn't i will be in touch
  14. cool thats not as bad a price as i was expecting.
  15. Just need a little bit of info on the power steering pump. Mine has started to whine when i turn the wheel at low speeds and was wondering if it is on its way out? I am going to be conducting a full service next week and this includes changing the power steering fluid etc. so was wondering if i should change the pump in the process. Questions are: 1. is the PS pump gonna go BOOM? 2. how much of a PITA is it to change the pump? 3. How much and were can i get a new/good one from?
  16. 5.1 for both? Just a little concerned that the toyota spec says dot3 for the brake fluid. I am running standard j-spec brakes at the mo and do not intend to track the car. also worth mentioning that i have ABS. Will a higher grade fluid damage the pumps etc. (power steering or brake cylinder)?? i am a novice in terms of brake and power steering fluid, so i am sorry if these are stupid questions.
  17. after a bit of research it looks like i should stick with dot3 as the dot4 may effect the seals or the pumps
  18. i am going to be carrying out a full service on my car in the very near future (all fluids changed) and need to change out the brake fluid and power steering fluid. Now on the car the caps for the reservoirs state that dot3 should be used BUT in the fluid guide off the technical guides section it states that you should use dot4. 1st question is which is correct? (i am running a 94' NA) do i run the risk of damage to the power steering pump or brake servos if i use the wrong one?
  19. this is turning in to a common thing recently. Mine did the same the other day. I know your pain with the bleeding ears! got a mint condition cat back system off a member for £160. I know dr_jekyll has a stainless 3" system for sale; try him
  20. Yes. Although depending on what exhaust from cat back you have fitted may make it very very loud. Whifbitz sell them as set if you want to double decat.
  21. lol. if i over inflate it too much and it bursts ... does it then become 2 or 3 IQ's? cheers guys
  22. i think it might be the aircon pump refill? just beaten to it by 16 other ppl. lol. cheers guys. But should i be able to see anything in the little round window alongside? you would think that the reason there is a window there is so that you can see something ... or am i being too logical.
  23. Whats this? Only just noticed that it is what looks to be a tap/valve and there is also a small window/clear bit in near by. Should i be able to see something in this tiny round window? Is it important? (please note the small round window is not shown) P.S. Sorry adam i stole one of your pics and butchered it
