  1. Just turn the key to position 2 and don't engage the starter motor?
  2. Doesn't this mean the fuel pump will continue to run after an accident? Not sure how safe that would be?????
  3. Trying to see of we can tie in the North West boys and girls. Will keep an eye on here for times and locations.
  4. Ok, is it time to start getting the meeting points planned? What time do we want to be arriving and do we want to tie up with the West Mids guys on the way down? Suggest we use the services on the M6 as muster points. What do you all think?

Recon I get high 20's on. Long motorway run in my BPU TT.
  6. Hello and welcome. Hope to catch up some time at a North West meet.
  7. My story is a little different to most. A school friend of mine got one years ago and I was a little dismissive of it. Years later he had ditched the TT Auto and had a singled track car. He was very successful in Time Attack and took me out in his car a few times. Just in case you are not aware I am talking about SteveL on here. Long story short a few years later I am fortunate to be able to afford a mid life crises and Paul at Whifbitz had a nice TT6 available. The deal was done and I've now had it for almost 18 months and it's still special every time it comes out of the garage, which isnt often enough!
  8. Also remember that your contract is with the retailer and not the manufacturer, if applicable. Don't let the retailer fob you off. They are responsible in law.
  9. You should be able to get redress under the sale of goods act if it was purchased in the UK. Although a manufacturer may provide a warranty, the sale of goods act refers to a reasonable amount of time. In your case you would expect a clutch to last X thousand miles. If it has failed before this time it may be that it was not of merchantable quality which would in turn be grounds for a claim against the supplier. The fact this has happened twice where others are not having any issues would suggest the two units you have had are in some way defective. Your best bet if purchased in the UK would be to talk to your local Citizens Advice or maybe a trading stds officer. If purchased outside the UK I'm not sure you would have a leg to stand on.
  10. Try Paul at Whifbitz, he can often be cheaper than MrT.
  11. Looks great, well done. As for airbags, I was very worried (polite version!) when I removed mine, but all went well.
  12. I think you need a dongle for this don't you Chris? Mine was done the other way as it was purchased 2nd hand and didn't have the dongle bit.
  13. Once you connect everything up you plug it into your laptop. To check its wired correctly jack the car up and spin each wheel in turn. You should be able to see a trace on the laptop when the wheel is spun. Once you have checked this simply load the DAT file and enjoy!
  14. Make sure you have each input wired correctly. You can upload a DAT file. If you pm me your email address I will send you the one I use ;-)
  15. I would guess you do not have electric folding mirrors and the one you have bought is.
  16. The only time I've seen fluid out the cap was on SteveL's race car when it must have got too hot. Even then it was only really weeping.
  17. I have Recaro Pole Position fixed buckets in mine, ex Paul Whiffins car. With my larger frame they are great and comfortable on long journeys. The only way to know is to get somewhere with lots of stock and try them. Agree with the comments about a quick release boss. Makes it much easier!
  18. Have you changed the air box? Mine was a lot louder when this was removed.
  19. You can easily out bling him by doing your vin plate. He hasn't!
  20. First time for me and the steak was great. Nice to see you gents.
  21. Check put the Whifbitz manifolds as they have been shown to improve spool.
  22. Not too far but you could try Whifbitz in Enfield?
  23. I had the same issue on mine. When pushed down would get 1.2bar no problem, but after a couple of pulls it would move about 5mm and not show more than 0.8 bar. Changed the pipe and all was good again.
