  1. Fronts will with a roll, rears won't at all
  2. at all these memes about marks recaro fettish
  3. 235 40 front, 265 35 rear on 18's that is
  4. Who knows, mine is only like 410 maybe a touch more so would probably need a touch wider Yeah a walbro
  5. My exact reasoning. They didn't spin in second today through full range of revs at 1.2 bar either so that'll do nicely, only done about 30 miles on them too (fairly kind miles) so once they're rid of that vile coating on them they should be pretty sweet. On another note, fuel pump is much louder than stock!
  6. £950 24years old 7 years NCB 1999 TT6 VVTi
  7. If it was a pure track car then fair play (heinz) . For my road car, you have no chance
  8. Cheers bud The only thing was, because i use the car daily and often use it for trips to manchester and back (airport and my works head office) and becuase they only come with 5mm of tread from new (compared to the nearly 9mm of the Vreds) I just didnt think they were brilliant value for money. At BPU level and as i VERY RARELY see track, the extra just wasnt worth it for me (read "me" as "the missus thinking of our property savings fund" ) :rlol:
  9. sounds good make sure the preload you adjust is equal on both axels, same with damping
  10. Increase the preload slightly and up the damping. Otherwise, your tyres are too wide/too low offset on the wheels or you're running it too lol
  11. Hadnt looked at this page, looks loads better with it cut down and painted black
  12. i'd probably just have stuck it in the huge mouth of the bumper in front of the rad.
  13. They seem to grip really well in all fairness, I'm a little shocked by how much better they are than my impression when I ordered them!
  14. Cheers all. Camskil for the tyres and they seem pretty grippy so far, ill report back after they've bed in and I've give it some hoon
  15. Cheers dude, I'm seriously thinking of removing my skirts and spats then going earless and painted on the front lip... Opinions?
  16. Couple of updates: Tyres on the rear were dead, just above the wear bars and felt absolutely lethal so ordered some new, Vredstein Ultrac Sessanta's: They arrived while i was away on business, so had them whacked on today: My Walbro fuel pump arrived as the last part of the BPU puzzle last week from Benkei (cheers dude!) so fitted that this afternoon also: Gave my new intercooler a bit of a clean up, possibly get that fitted tomorrow also: Loving how the car is now, just need some warmer/dryer weather to give it some stick Cheers for looking
  17. Just drive it, they're there to be driven not babied! They are 11-20 year old cars now not hypercars lol!
  18. Ran them on my last car, couldn't moan with them!
  19. Federals own website lists a 285-30 for a 9.5j rim as a maximum which should be ok, Just wondering if arches will need rolling now, the extra grip would be nice!
  20. Fairly low just no tyre in the arch. Et38's I fancy something with More grip so thinking if a federal 595 RS-r in 285 30 18
  21. I currently run 9.5j rears et38 with 265/35/18's I need to change then pretty sharpish and want more rear grip. Will 285's firstly fit on the rim? (I believe so just checking) And secondly, will I need to roll the arches? Thanks Jack
  22. So i decided to Fit my braided brake hoses today... Fronts are on, I've decided to leave the rears for now due to discovering a rather rounded and seized brake union. Even with my brake spanner it is useless to undo so it looks like its back to the drawing board for now.... I simply flushed the fluid with regular pagid dot4.1 for now and will use the rbf600 when the rears are also on and do a full flush. Quick photo: Any suggestions for removing seized/rounded brake pipe unions? Also, i've ordered a Walbro, as the pump from my last car i have in there (meant to be a UK pump) was playing on my mind as to whether or not it actually was, so decided to just replace it to be on the safe side anyway. Should be here mid week
  23. They grip half decently in dry, very poor in wet and wear at a rate of knots if you get what I mean
