Common diesel faults, that you get on any of the Fiat / Alfa JTD's: Swirl flaps in the inlet manifold, which the fix for is a modified inlet manifold - costs a fortune. EGR valves sticking 3rd injector wiring loom breaking down - cheap fix and normally only on the 16 valve engines - creates an intermittant misfire. Aside from that, the diesel engines are very good. (I think...)

Warrantywise are very good from what I've seen, we used to sell their warranties through work. A customer had a BMW 535d and had an injector fail, warrantywise paid out for 6 new injectors, and also replaced the glow plugs and glow plug relay under warranty!! Not that bad I don't think!

Myself and a mate looked at an old Nissan 200SX a good few years ago that someone had put a diesel engine in. Just wrong....

Me too, I remember one of the Max Power editions back in the late 90's with a Rieger wide arch Astra GTE on the front in Yellow. Can't beat the old retro wide arch stuff!
