  1. Are you leaving the first CAT in?
  2. Just wondering if we're sorting one for this month, I know the Pancake Run was only a couple of weeks ago....
  3. Check under your boot carpet as well, in case the boot seal leaks.
  4. At least he told you mate, that's the main thing. So long as it's done right and you're happy, what should it matter?
  5. Exactly, suppose it depends how good a job they've done of repairing, and if you buy from an honest seller, provided they know past history etc. I suppose now at least if it is a damaged repaired insurance write off, it states it on the logbook.
  6. Each to their own I suppose. As I said, depends how well it has been repaired, obviously Cat C cars have to be VIC checked. Plus a car can be written off for any reasons, not necessarily just through crash damage. Could have been keyed or had paint stripper poured on it for example. The same guy I know that repairs cars had a Cat C repaired M3 convertible, you'd never have known it had been crashed looking at the job he did of fixing it, was a 53 plate LHD that stood him at about £7k done, sold it as a Cat C repaired for £10500. Like Dunk said though, the car may not be on the list but could have still had some serious damage. You can't always tell.
  7. If it had been repaired properly then yes. I have a friend that repairs CAT C and D cars and know the in's and out's fairly well. However, for someone to sell a car that had been damaged knowingly and not telling the purchaser, that isn't on at all.
  8. Suppose so, still worth checking for the sake of £15. Am sure they are plenty of Supra's on here that have been damaged at some point and repaired. They're old, high powered RWD cars so it is inevitable really.
  9. Have you HPI'd it Josh? If it comes back as clear, then it shouldn't be a problem. Try that my car check thing, think that's quite cheap. https://www.mycarcheck.com/ £15 for a platinum check with a certificate posted to you.
  10. Johnny G I think is selling a Tanabe Touring exhaust, sure that is a straight exit on and he had that on with a Trial Rear....
  11. Westy, K&N actually do replacement universal cone filters, I bought one to replace a damaged Blitz SUS one that my car came with. Not dear either. Might be worth a look: http://www.knfilters.co.uk/universal.aspx
  12. Convenience module fault maybe? Just had the same on my mrs's 2001 A4
  13. They're not Iridium plugs are they? I am pretty sure once they are damaged from fouling, they are scrap.
  14. It does look like it could be condensation, what does it smell like? Does it smoke if you rev it a lot? - - - Updated - - - +1 on that. Mine is gone after about 5-10 minutes.
  15. It will only have a MAF if it is a VVTi engine. It could be something as simple as water sitting in the exhaust. Condensation smoke has re-appeared in mine now it is raining more and colder overnight.
  16. I get a lot of my stuff from here: http://elitecarcare.co.uk/
  17. Oh yeah! Never spotted that it was an aero. On a side note about the ally bit, K&N supply somehting similar to the rubber seals that you get on toyr doors or bootlid for their Typhoon systems that have heat shields. Or get some silicone hose and cut a line through that and sit it over the top?
  18. Can't believe nobody else has asked this one..... Where do you put your shopping?
  19. Sorry Tim, I just can't fit it in tonight
  20. I'm not going to be able to get there I'm afraid Got too much to do. Ray, if you like, get Rick to PM me his address and I'll post the pump, he can sort me out with the cash at the next meet.
  21. Looking like it'd be just me and thee Tim!
  22. I'd be up for that. M&C is good for me.
  23. That lower bolster is an easy enough fix for someone to do themselves, one of these off ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECARO-Seat-Bolster-Foam-Toyota-Celica-GT4-Supra-/350442363276?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5197fe198c and about 20 minutes of fiddling. I recently did mine.
