Most comments I heard was that its safe on stock fueling up to 18PSi which is 1.24 BAR. I have mine set to 1.22 BAR, but I did hit 1.28 BAR twice. (its a bleeder valve so dependend on the outside temp and pressure) Cuba

With a car like Supra you need a mech that really know the car. I was really worried last Saturday that I blew my turbo as I had this horrible whininhg noise on acceleration. I took the car over to Toyota for a check. They had it on the ramp for 20 minutes with two engineers checking things over. They could not establish the fault. I posted one question on this forum, about 10 minutes later I had a reply. About 15 minutes later I found a small vaccum pipe on the EGR sensor cracked. Replaced that with the new one. The car is running sweet!! It feels like someone had just given me a new trubo or lots of ££££. Stick with the guys on here. You will always get a lot of help. Cuba

Do you have a Boost Cut Controler? If you just use the Boost controler or you have de cat, then your pressure will go up. If you go over 1 BAR you will hit the fuel cut. Welcome to the bbs. Cuba

I looked at my EGR hose, the one coming to the sensor. I squeezed it a couple of times and I heard it crack!! I took it off the car and it looked like it was split before and when I squeezed it it just got bigger. I had some spare hose so I put it on. I made sure it was tight and went for a short test drive. Just drove locally so didnt want to boot it too much but the guage showed 1.07 Bar and no strange sounds at ALL! I guess the real test will be when I take it on the Motorway tomorrow but its seems ok now. I hope its sorted as I was really hating the idea of paying a few £££'s for a new turbo. I ll let you know how I got on. Bobbeh, I m from Poland, but I live near East Grinstead, W. Sussex. I m sure we will catch up next time. Good to see you, any way. Cuba

On my way back from Bolney today I noticed a strange sound on acceleration. I got really concerned, as I thought that it was a death whine but it is comming from the left side of the engine bay and the turbos are on the right. I took the car over to Toyota and they said they couldnt tell what was wrong. The noise is most apparent on acceleration but I also get it when idle and just reving the engine. My boost guage still shows 1.15 Bar and the car feels as strong as it was. I am really worried. I listened to the Death Whine from the MKIV page and its not like that. I can hear it coming from the vicinity of the EGR sensor and somewhere behind the throttle body. Any ideas? I was going to go to Santa Pod tomorrow. All help very much appreciated. Regards Cuba PS. BTW, it was nice to meet you all at Bolney today.

I think the TRL FCD is good up to 1.25 BAR so if you have a bleeder valve and not an electronic boos controller you may actually be hitting 1.25 and the boost would cut out. Do you have a boost gauge? Cuba

Thanks Pete, I will give it another shot. I just got really confused whem the colours did not match as well as the numbers. I will go with your info then. I know its know difficult but I m doing it first time and thought that if I cut the wrong wires I'd be in trouble. Thanks again. I ll let you know how I got on! Cuba

silly me!! I thought I mentioned that. The car is 1994 Twin Turbo Automatic Typical European Spec VIN Number is: JT164JA8000012370 The main difference in the ECU, in my opinion is that on your diagram it shows the numbers 1-40, 1-70 etc I only get 1-40 on each plug. I dont know if you get what I m trying to say. If I remember right, I should cut a blue wire which is in position 67 or somthing like that. The only alll blue wire I have is in the middle plug on position I think 8. I ll try to take some pics of the connectors when i get the chance. Or maybe you could mail me all of your diagrams for a Supra and then i ll be able to work out which one looks like mine. Would that work? Anyway, Thank you for your help. Happy Easter Cuba

I was surley looking at the right one. I followed the instructions from the mkiv.com. It doesnt match up at all. It says exactly that on the ECU: 2JZ-GT A/T ENGINE CONTROL TOYOTA 89661-14538 What do you reckon Pete? Cuba

Your help needed again. I was going to fit my TRL VFCC today. I looked into the ECU and the diagram provided by TRL doesn't match up with my car. I take it that TRL diagram is for the 2JZ-GTE and my ECU is 2JZ-GT. Dont really know what the difference is but all I know is that the connections on the harness have all different numbers. Does any one have the diagram for my engine ECU? I guess it may be one of the differences between the European and the UK car. Hope you can help. Cuba

Is it a good idea to lower my car with just the springs or should I really be looking to get some proper susspension? I looked on the Suprastore and they have some Eibach springs. Are those any good? And itf not what could you recommend? I m just thinking of lowering and stiffening a car a bit, nothing crazy. Thanks Cuba

Hi guys, I could come but I m basicly worried that I will look stupid there. I can see that all of you have done it before and your cars are well tuned. I have a MKIV TT with just basic mods, will I look stupid there or do you get more cars like mine? Cheers Cuba -
I started fitting the VFCC this morning and I gave up. I think I could do it but I believe that if I cut the wrong wires its all gonna go very wrong. Is there any one out there who can fit VFCC to a Supra. I know lot of you have it done. Hope you can direct me to the right person. Thanks, Cuba
-
