  1. May be selling my BC coil overs soon as I've just bought a set of HKS Hypermax 4s.
  2. My Dad had a black one of these. They say nice, but aren't that quick at all due to the fact they weigh as much as a house.
  3. Think these are 'carbon effect' hydrographic rather than real carbon by the look of the photos mate. I may be wrong but just a heads up incase anyone gets the wrong idea from the ad.
  4. Not again? What made you change your mind about keeping it mate?
  5. It was 3rd gear synchro that was knackered in mine too mate.
  6. Thanks again Matt! Mirrors will be going white, but not sticking with the Veilsides. Simon has managed to source some genuine Ganador mirrors with electrics for me Carbon skinned Veilsides were nice, but looked too much like big Mickey Mouse ears on a white car to me lol JDM number plate will be staying for now, as I haven't got a flipper like SteveM or Ibrar yet (maybe a mod for the future) and the bumper has already been sprayed with the holes left in it. Number plate won't hang down though as I've had my private plate, which is still to be put on, done on a smaller sized plate which is the same size as Johns old private plate like this.... I could do with a new or very good condition JDM plate holder if anyone has one spare though, as mine has a small nick in the top of it and I'm a bit OCD lol
  7. Good effort! That's great, thankyou very much! It doesn't look too bad actually, gunna have a think on that one
  8. I've always liked white cars with carbon bonnets Jellbean. I think it looks good and gives them character. Plus I've seen an abflug bonnet all painted on a white TRD Supra before and it looked too plain and boring for my tastes. All personal preference I guess. I am keen to see a photoshop of the bonnet painted with just the vents left carbon though. Sometimes it can look good if done correctly (seen it done well on some GTRs carbon bonnets), but can easily look tacky sometimes I think. Choices for me I think are either white TRD bonnet as above, full carbon abflug as it is now or possibly the abflug partially painted, depending on how the Photoshop of it looks if someone is able to do it.
  9. Don't worry about it mate, just kidding Can someone who's a photoshop wizard please alter these photos to show me how the car would look with the bonnet painted but the vents left as carbon (3 square sunken exit vents behind the 3 small cutouts). I'm intrigued to see how it would look. Thanks in advance
  10. Thanks for the kind comments guys. Bonnet is staying carbon for the time being I'm afraid. I am toying with the idea of trying to get a decent TRD bonnet and having that painted white though to see how it looks.
  11. It's been like that since I bought it Luc. Looks better I think and in an emergency if the remote key fob stops working or is lost, there's always the boot lock in the rear light you can use
  12. Been sent some more teaser pics from Simon today. Icey White perfection
  13. It's not just the brakes Luc. I think 18" wheels will look too small tucked up under a TRD kit.
  14. CCW only list the LM20's up to 18" on ther website? The only other wheels I've seen that I really like are Avant Garde F420's like Ibrar has on his car. I'd have them in the complete polished / chromed finish rather than the chrome lip and bronze spoke finish Ibrar has though. I'm really liking a lot of the new concave deep dish designs like the ones from manufacturers like Avant Garde and Strasse. In all honesty though, I'm happy with the Iforged I have for the time being.
  15. Thanks James Sticking with the original Iforged Sebrings for now mate and having Ibrar refurb them for me. I did fancy a set of CCW Classics in TRD fitment, but they don't do 19" in the Classics. 18" is as big as they go. I need at least 19" to fit over my SLR Brembos and plus I think 18" wheels would look a bit 'lost' under a TRD kit. If something else comes up that I like that I can get in the right fitment then I might change my mind, but happy with the Iforged for now.
  16. I'm in line for one of those too Luc...... I reckon our specs are going to be almost identical by the time both builds are finished Really looking forward to your VVTi b2b comparison seeing as I'm going VVTi now too. Should give some interesting solid figures for reference and proof of the benefits VVTi can bring. Top job doing the change in this experimental style mate . Will benefit all information wise. Have you read this article? Very interesting read....... http://www.kaizenmotorsports.com/blogs/news/16740952-the-1jz-2jz-gte-vvti-system
  17. Cheers Jazz Yours is next in at Simons from what I hear and should be pretty special too once finished.
  18. Simon sent me a teaser pic tonight of the front wing test fitted. I'd asked for the inner wing to be painted in satin black so the the whole vent appears black once the black mesh is fitted. Really happy with the finish..... Looks like glass Can't wait to see it all back together! Excited!!! I've got some other little bits in the pipeline too and I'll keep you all updated as the build progresses
  19. And now for the best bit...... Once everything had been blocked the paint went on .
  20. Right back to the main bodywork stuff.... Doors and bumpers etc. going to primer.
