i wont be driving it, not with the lights on the dash and then repeating sequence of indicator flashing all the time.. i would guess the police wouldnt be too appreciative of a car that indicates both sides when turning! lol. if it is just an alternator though, i can deal with that.. its the waiting around thats killing me, i wish couriers worked weekends! lol. poor work ethic! lol. just upgraded from an open to an lsd diff, new sparkies, coilpacks, belts, pulleys, filters, oils and fluids and exhaust... now a new battery and an alternator! ha... joys... 5years of stalwart reliabilty, never needing to spend money. this year though, is slowly costing me! iv not had my car driving for the last 3months and thought today might be the day i get back behind the wheel, feels like i was a bit nieve now. anyone want to buy a third kidney... like a spare or something?

hey again. another bit of advice needed.. had car to mot today.. wen i collected it i found that the battery isnt charging. iv bought a new battery as the other was old and will get an alternator. im wondering if the lights on the dash in this pic could possibly be somehing a bit more troublesome than a new alternator? am i also right to assume that the yellow light relates to a rear light cluster issue? im hoping that as i had to swap rear ligts over for the mot and will swap back to the tinted lights and loom anyway so would be sorted in the process. im also getting flaahing indicators.. i have no alarm connected at this second so shouldnt relate to that. cheers in advance you knowledgable bunch! lol

well the picture in post no2 with the exhaust on me dogs quilt(sorry dog) shows the exhaust. everything in the picture is one piece. i did wonder if the decat set the rest of the exhaust at a funny angle.. maybe it was modified to fit the old exhaust? only time iv previously chamged the exhaust was for an oem and that fit without problems as youd expect.

to me the 'hook' (bracket attached to car) looks like its useable on both sides. there is a slight difference between the two hooks which led me to think the rubbers are of a wrong design or the hook in use has been slightly modified to fit. the exhaust certainly has enough play to manouver it to the correct position, its just keeping pressure to keep it there. so maybe turning around the bracket? i think just changing the exhaust strap round wont keep enough pressure to keep in position and will potential pull itself free of the bracket? tho it should position it better

hi everyone. need a bit of help trying to establish whats going wrong whilst trying to fit an apexi exhaust i bought recently from a forum member and was hoping for some help and advice. the exhaust is fitted but not very well at all. has anyone got any pictures of an apexi fitted on theirs? il try to get some pictures up.

hey guys, i was wondering if anyone has changed their standard windscreen water jets to anything different, i was wondering if any others you could pick up cheap have more coverage rather than 2 single spray but are still diirect fit onto the bonnet. cheers

I couldnt tell you dude, im doing the manual work on command from a previously supra owning, mechanic (with a bad back,lol). I will take the head off if its the best choice, time isnt too much of an issue on this as im doing the labour. Should i buy the gasket kit @ £260? i assume its a head off method? Or should i just get the kit only for the stem valves? cheers

hi, im a bit of a noob to mechanics but im going to be doing my stem valve seals with some help from a mechanic that specialises more in 3s-gte . Im trying to gather all worthwhile components to fit whilst im doing the valves and belts so i can do it all at once. what parts should i buy for this task, and what else would be worth doing whilst im doing the valve seals? Is it worthwhile buying a complete engine gasket kit or should i only buy the steam valve gaskets? I have been quoted £260 delivered for the full gasket set from TCB in devon. Is there anyone local to Chippenham/ Wilts that may be able to have a look at the car and tell me what to spend my money on? i dont mind swinging some dosh your way if u can help me out, there isnt really a garage/ mechanic here that i have much faith in unfortunately.

im playing through a second time currently. i initially played through as a dedicated mage, enchanted a wedding dress and veil and ran around smashing stuff up as a transvestite Conan the barbarian lookie like. now, im playing through as a Warrior punching everything i can see as a B A baracus lookie like. Please, please try to rehome rather than PTS, you may not be able to manage him but the likelyhood is it could be corrected, just wouldnt advise this with a child around. If your a bit of a hands off owner, its worth coming down on him like a ton of bricks when he does it and truely put him in his place, we have dealt with a couple of rescue dogs that have been posessive and we have weaned it out of them by having a completely no tolerance approach. Its the only circumstance that i would ever recommend physical correction, when your families safety is at question.
