    Hi all

Just caught up with this sorry. The engine was never removed during my ownership, nor the person I sold it to who owned it for several years(my uncle). Full BPU was done by Jurgen, boost controller was fitted under my ownership along with the HSD coilovers and it was undersealed and serviced regularly with Silkolene Pro S. The car also never had any paint during the time I owned it (I sold it in 2009/10 if I recall correctly). When I had it imported, it had the Trust Ti exhaust, Ohlins coilovers (I removed these, too hard for the road) and the Advan RS alloys. I ran it at 1.2bar for the whole time I owned it, found it pulled better than other BPU Supra's I'd driven, seemed like it had a strong engine. All in all was a smashing car and never let me down. The only issue I had was a few teething problems after it was BPU'd but Jurgen soon rectified this. Another member on here (Rich.2211) owned it recently, and it looks like he did some great work to it. He's probably a better person to ask about it
  2. You can pick them up cheap, but definitely not worth getting one in the low end of the market. Running an E60 M5 makes the Supra seem like an Eco car! Much higher running costs and they can bankrupt you if you don't buy one with BMW warranty. Absolutely cracking car though, loved mine to bits.
  3. Inbox should be clear now, not bee on here for a while so it was full up [emoji3]
  4. Looking good, that's my old car Nice to see it getting some well deserved TLC now! I was the one who had it imported via Jurgen back in 2009 I think.
  5. I did say I wasn't going to start the old debate again..... But you're absolutely right, there is no comparison. If you smoke a pipe and like slippers, then the autobox really is great
  6. NA Manual --> TT Auto = Auto Boredom and lack of involvement in the drive (I'm not starting the age old debate again, just my opinion) That transition is like finally convincing the hot stripper to come home with you one night, then discovering she only does missionary...You're excited about the proposition, but disappointed with the end result. Flog it and get a TT6 or BPU it and hope for the best.
  7. It could cause overboost, it's not winter yet, so I think atmospheric temperatures affecting it greatly is unlikely at this time of year. I'd say it's either just recorded a high peak then it's levelled off, or it's possibly a split hose if it's persistently hitting that figure.
  8. Have you checked for leaking / split vacuum hoses ?
  9. Looks good, headlights are a vast improvement
  10. You're limited on the boost you can run without making internal changes to the NA block, so Turbo choice is critical dependant on your goals in my opinion. I'd strongly suggest finalising your end goal power wise, then doing more research before you choose any components. Also consider cost/time/labour and whether or not it's worth just flogging the NA and buying a TT.
  11. This is almost as crazy as the air-con charge cooling thread that was posted the other day Keep it simple... A heated screen, or some ventilation...
  12. Yeah had lots of money spent on it for sure, looks absolutely gash though. Those lights on a Supra just look completely wrong, I've never been a fan of that look at all. Loving the 2nd one though
  13. My vote goes to facelift lights on a black car
  14. You could get a tanker full of liquid nitrogen to follow you around, with a pipe going from the lorry, in through the passenger window, then into the engine bay into a special cooling housing for the turbo Full marks for the suggestion though, by all means try and post results before and after
  15. Don't do yourself over - if it's worth more, explain to the buyer. They'll either pay the difference knowing what it's worth or you'll find another buyer.
  16. Looks cool, facelift lights are so much better than the old-style chrome insert ones in my opinion. Gives the front end a much fresher and modern look
  17. Pull the dipstick out, look at it with your eyes. Use brain to decide if it's high or low The end
  18. If you install one of these in your car, you'll get loads of pops and bangs..... plus, as an added bonus, you'll wind up with a tasty snack at the end...you may even been able to sell some to the grannies.
  19. The last two videos it says are private dude
  20. Apologies if I missed something.... I've had about 10 hours sleep in total this week, so I'm reading but the words aren't always going in. I tried to put the kettle in the fridge this morning after making tea Either way, it's admirable the way you've stuck with it, not knocking it at all !
  21. Not a criticism, more of a curiosity on my part.... but surely the engine speeds are the same as before (in most cases) when going single turbo, therefore there should be no additional load on the timing belt if there is not a substantial rev-limit increase? Not saying you shouldn't replace the timing belt for an aftermarket one, just didn't think it was a 'must-have' and that an OEM one would be sufficient in most applications? Or am I not thinking along the right track? Well done for doing the list though, I'm sure once it's fine tuned it will be helpful for people.
  22. Is that the sort of power figure you were hoping for, or were you thinking it would make more? Still, it make more power than I thought it would make when you initially started out with this project. Fair play for having the determination to see it through, now you can start to properly enjoy it I guess
  23. The kit on that pink Supra reminds me of the Chargespeed kit -Overpriced -Tacky -Hideous -Chavmobile
  24. I think the colour it is already painted works very well (apart from the engine bay.... get rid of the red paint) I think it would be a shame to paint the car orange, but your choice obviously
