NICE! a proper amg. Imo the best amg you can buy. A 6.3 N/A wedged into a mid sized saloon. Makes all the right noises and an absolute smoke machine. GLWS!
-
Thanks man but i need to get cash for it. Id take p/x against it for a 2jzgte or na-t kit. The reason for the spec is for the mid range. The high lift long duration just didnt suit the way it was gonna be used.

Thanks man, its a beast and great craic to drive!

Jesus £555 a year would be gift for road tax in ireland. If this car was a pre 2008 tax would be €1809 a year. Then after july 2008 it would be €2350. But if it was a commercial it would be a lot cheaper. Road tax in ireland is a joke. My supra is €1495 to tax a year -
After owning this car for over 3 Years I have decided to sell it due to lack of use. I spent alot of time building it and it's great fun to drive but I only ever got it out for the one trackday I want to free up money for the Supra and the GTR. The shell originally was brought into Ireland around 13 years ago and it was never registered so between that and the fact alot of panels are fibreglass and the windows are plastic it is ONLY a trackcar. It's based in Co. Kildare, Ireland. Spec list Engine and drivetrain Omex 600 ecu Head: small port head with stage 4, full race, port and swirl work, uprated valve guides etc Ferrera ( Atlantic spec) oversized inlet and exhaust valves, Toda 288 (8.5) and 272 (7.9) cams with Toda valve springs, cam gears and .8 high comp head gasket. ae101 throttle bodies techno-toy-tuning intake manifold and velocity stacks. Bottom end: 4age 16v (red top) engine. toda .25 overbore high comp pistons lightened and balanced crank and rods, arp up-rated big end ,main and flywheel bolts acl race bearings, ORC Clutch and flywheel hks oil pump shim kit Mocal oil cooler kit Fgk manifold Fensport catback Flos alloy radiator Rebuilt t50 Cusco 1.5 LSD Trd 4.77 final drive Late spec shafts TRD engine and gearbox mounts Fuel cell with Bosch 044 inline Pump Ford coilpack Cusco catchcan Chassis Ae86 trueno Full respray in Mini pepper white Interior and engine bay TRD grey Fibreglass doors Fibreglass bootlid with TRD spoiler Fibreglass bonnet Genuine late spec front bumper Plastic side and rear windows Seam welded Custom roll cage with X bars, gusted to the body also TRD rear shocks with whiteline springs TRD front ARB TRD rear ARB Front coilovers (some form of japanese brand) with new KYB short stroke inserts New discs and pads all round Braided lines Carbon fibre battery box with brand new battery Brand new genuine toyota Oe brake and clutch master cylinder New blueprint clutch slave cylinder Polybushed front and rear axles Polybushes front and rear ARBs 4 New Rota rkr 15x8 et0 all round 195/50/15 Federal RSR's front, 90% 195/50/15 Yokohama S drive rear 90% Interior Nardi steering wheel Driver and passenger bride rails Sparco harnesses Sparco driver seat Recaro passenger seat Omori gauges Monster rev counter Whole car rewired with new relays and switches Thats all i can think of, its alot of car and its very quick. The engine made 180bhp with a blown manifold previosly. It also redlines at 8800rpm It has cost me a hell of a lot more than €11.5k to build, but if i get the asking price, ill throw in all the spares i have, N2 kit, spare head, interior parts, windows etc Heres the only and only time its been on track This car is ready to go for its next trackday. It doesn't require any other work unless someone wants to put their own touches on it. That great. Where did you get your wiring diagrams? I was considering doing a 1jz vvti swap into mine.
-
Great write up. Always wondered how the downpipe would work out. I did a 3sge and 2zz on a sprinter trueno and without a speed signal they wouldnt make full power, id say if you get a speed signal to the ecu it'll run much better again! Great work!
-
I have been following all your videos. Very impressive and a good account of whats needed to do the swap! Keep it up.
-
Only noticed today that this Technology existed haha. It's an incredible conversion Paul!
-
Ill defo be taking you up on that. I could always just go non vvti either way. The non vvti is ment to be a bit easier to do no? Sound ill see can i get in contact with him.
-
Be interesting to see what it will be like! Any videos of it accelerating with the ecu in it?
-
Ah cool thanks. Probaly best leaving it then Just always wondered would be worth going down the route of ecu and manifold and see what its like. I have a few mines stuff on my gtr.
-
Lads can anyone tell me the benefits of a Mine's ecu in an NA and where can you usually find them? Checked Jauce.com but didnt see anything
-
Hahaha thanks man Haha ive so many questions to wreck your head over pedro!! I was thinking of going down the 1jz route with it but looking at a vvti 1jz! Btw did you ever sell them wheels? Thanks man! I love gtrs. To be honest either car is great and they are both consistantly going up in value

Thanks man Yep nigel it sure is!!

Hey lads and lassies. I haven't been on the forum since 2010 as I had to sell my Supra for medical reasons and looking at all the nice cars was torturing me Anyway, I'll explain the story... I bought the car early 2009 and I was the first owner since it was in japan. I had to sell it to a friend of mine towards the end of the year because I had to get surgery on my left ankle and the doctors told me I would never be able to drive a manual car again. I was gutted. I sold it to him and after I got the cast off I discovered that everything was better but unfortunelty I had sold the car I ended up buying a really nice stock R33 GTR Spec 3 instead and have had that since. My friend still had the car over the 8 years but for the last 5 it had been sitting up. I always dreamed about getting it back I absolutely loved the car. I got money together this year and I convinced him to sell me back the car! delighted!! I got it back, gave it a good clean and hope to get it back to its former glory soon. Poor Gtr is kicked to the kerb for the minute haha. I look forward to getting a few bits for it now and possibly heading across the pond again to Santapod

Yep tis a buccaneer Weston airport, its just on the outskirts of dublin. Owner of the airport, his wife bought him the plane as a present... it never flys though. nice wife ehy? haha Cheers lads, in compairsent to the supra its different, I mean for a start its more practical, ALOT more. The performance... well I only had an N/A so I couldn't really say its as quick as the GTR. The supra was more nibble rev'y but the GTR is an all out animal In and out to work I've noticed the GTR is better on petrol than the Supra. But on long journeys the Supra was better. lol Cheers man, I'm going to get that done soon enough alrite

Well I haven't been on the forum for the past few months, been tied up with getting better, not having a supra anymore and also concentrating on getting my ppl finished I sold the soarer, felt a bug that had bitten me nearly 3 years ago telling me to go for the car I really wanted again so I went up and viewed one I looked at buying a year ago Doctors told me I'll never be able to drive a manual again, so i bought an auto and looked into autos. Went up to ken lawfords nissan to see a 98 R33 GTR I wanted to buy just to see it, had a boot cast on, sat in and was able to press the clutch in and out with no problems as the peddle is really high up and plenty of space around it! Because my ankle doesn't bend anymore, i couldn't drive a manual supra because my heel kept hitting off the floor when I'd press the clutch in, thats not the case with the skyline. So I rang up the insurance company, it was 200 euro cheaper than the M3!! I was delighted. The car I really wanted, this particular GTR thats one of three that a Irish nissan dealer imported, I went to buy a year ago and i couldnt afford it so i ended up buying a shitter of a GTR that fell apart and broke my heart. The insurance was right, I could drive it, reputal garage, the money was decent. so why not? Went in with the money, did the bargaining with them and ended up getting a 1/3 of the price of the car. Was delighted. Mint standard original GTR with all the bells and wistles, have her the past 3 months and love it! Here she is in the airport im doing my ppl in at the minute I'll have to clean under here some time soon lol Brought it to santa pod 2 weeks ago, managed a 12.52 @ 110mph Got the car mapped to run on 95 ron, its producing 377bhp and 333whp @ 0.95 bar with a impul catback ONLY
