    Hi!

Ahh I remember my mk3 capri fondly 2.8i I loved it my dad had loads of em including a tickford turbo. I will have another one day. Good choice if V8 and welcome.
  5. i think i was confusing crank seals for O rings, only read into this briefly this morning. Im trying to get everything ready whilst i source a TT lump. Cheers for the info Dunk
  6. Jesus that looks way above my skills level. My autobox is lying on the garage floor which will help but that guide has me worried.
  7. Whats all needed to service an autobox? As far as im aware i'll need: 2 crank seals, 1 filter, Sump sealant and new auto transmition fluid (ATF) is this correct? I did do a search for a guide on how to do it but to no avail.. Any help would be appreciated.
  8. I bought mine brand new for £300
  9. Thanks Johnny, good info there.
  10. are these not usually 10" rear and 8.5" front?
  11. yeah i read all his build thread amazing stuff however ididnt learn much on the "difficulties of fitting an aristo lump," apart from the sump all his other parts ie throttlebody etc is all aftermarket. I was wondering just what stock parts would need swapped.
  12. I love your way of thinking. Buy a cheap car and fix it right. Wheeler dealers.
  13. I'll try mate just check you do have the wiring on your SZ already vast majority of cars do. It'll be lurking down below your drivers side headlight infront of the radiator. Small black plug. You might even see another smaller plug next to it. Its for a 2nd horn. The internal wiring will be behind stereo (large white plug for ECU and smaller black one for Spoiler switch)
  14. I have all the parts and actually went to attemp it yesterday but the first bolt i touched on the offcoming undertray snapped (corrosion due to where its located, salt, rain etc) so i'll need something for removing severed bolts first.
  15. Ive also come across a few Aristo engines but i hear they are a pain to fit ie a lot of parts needing swapped..
  16. Cheers Ash i had seen a similar thread before but not as well written as this. VVTI might be an option for me then with a good RLTC fitted and use either SRD or old skool engine mounts
  17. All minor stuff to sort, I really like the wheels, most important thing is to enjoy it.
  18. As some of you may have read elsewhere im currently doing my own NA-TT. Ive found a seller offering a 2JZ-GTE engine from a 2000X/Y reg supra so its a VVTI which ive never really looked into, Ive read that these have better torque at bottom end but thats all i know difference wise from the pre-vvti. Could someone tell me any pro's and cons to running a VVTI engine? Thanks all

    End of an Era!!

Sad day, Chris is a lucky man
  20. Im with AA for the 1st time this year (usually take it out with insurance) and i just took the basic roadside recovery for £39.99+£8 for wife added. What gets me thinking is ive never needed recovered yet. so add that up for 18 years ive been driving its approx £860 odd. Maybe i'll just keep my money and phone them IF i break down. You can join the AA after you have broke down and they will still come out to you.
  21. Very nice, where are your front indicators? relocated into headlight?
