  1. My bad i never properly read later post about having a UK diff. I'll shut my yap and go back into hiding.
  2. I looked into this a while ago and according to ToyoDIY i parts are the same for NA and TT. Just whether you have ABS sensors it the only problem. 42330 (RH) Both NA and TT 42340B (LH) Both NA and TT
  3. ok just to clarify for future searches. TT has one sensor with 4 wires. NA has two sensors with 1 wire on each sensor. cheerz
  4. Could someone confirm im right in thinking that a TT has only one O2 sensor with 4 wires??? NA has two sensors with 2 wires on each??
  5. Wheel bearing? just a guess. have you jacked the car up and tried spinning the wheel by hand?? Does it turn easily? any grinding noise or play when pushing and pulling the wheel from top or bottom? Again just an uneducated guess. process of elimination.
  6. I thought the hood scoop was to keep the middle cylinders cool. Not the turbos...surely the intercooler would do that?? UK turbos last longer cause they are steel whereas J-spec are ceramic..?
  7. i bought a hood scoop and snorkel etc but this wasn't present... doesn't seem to be on ToyoDIY either
  8. My guess is its part of the cooling for a uk spec hood scoop....? circled in red
  9. Dont think this qualifies as a TECHNICAL query..but how easy is it to change both front and rear crank seals on a TT lump? Is it worth doing on an engine thats done 62,000 miles before i put it in my car? cheerz
  10. what is it that makes the facelift ones so bad?? Do they break easily? or not absorb vibrations easily?
  11. Can it actually go on the wrong way? have you tried?
  12. Me also, id hate to see someone getting ripped off.
  13. Ive already got stock bilstein struts with TT springs and I will be changing the anti roll bars, I think Ibrar has some freshly powder coated. If not keron will have some.
  14. Oh and i might change the alternator as my TT engine was originally in a manual car so it has a 90 amp alternator. Auto alternators have 100 amps. Not being anal just "attention to detail" Thats the squaddie side of me.
  15. All the new Mods posting on my thread im honoured.
  16. Correct! so i'll be getting rid of the Bling Rad also for a stock one but that can wait till the end and ABS relay block will get changed also.
  17. Ive just checked with ToyoDIY same part. let me know mate.
  18. Engine mounts are sound The engine came with them and still on previous cars subframe. Good shout on charcoal canister..you got one??
  19. Howdy, Im about to start an NA-TT conversion after picking up my engine last saturday from Jurgens. I think I now have all parts needed but thought id ask in case ive missed something.. 2JZ-GTE engine complete with all ancillaries and loom (sourced by jurgen) TT Autobox x2 (spare is always handy) TT Auto prop x2 TT airbox and No1 air hose (goes from airbox to manifold) TT Throttle cable TT Power steering reservoir TT LSD (plus drive shafts with ABS but i think my NA ones are same part. TT Igniter pack x2 (I bought a new one whilst waiting for my engine to arrive....which also had one fitted . TT Auto engine ECU+ Throttle control ECU TT 1st Decat (i have 3" 2nd decat already fitted with 3" exhaust) SMIC and piping. TT auto dial cluster. UK hood scoop. complete with snorkel for additional cooling (not necessary but i wanted to) I with be replacing all sillicone hoses, spark plugs and leads, rad hoses, water pump, oil pump timing belt & tensioner and crank seals. Even though i think the timing belt was done on 14/5/12 at 99,914 KM. (approx 62,000 miles). The reason im not "sell the NA and buy a TT" as everyone always says, Im doing this as a learning experience and ive grown too fond of my Supra to sell it. Have i forgotten anything?? Tools aint an issue Cheers
  20. depends if you DIY or hand it over to someone else to do it. Ive just collected ALL the parts and its expensive. Getting the right engine was the hard part, Jurgen imported mine (prices vary on his yahoo auctions site) I went for a Supra engine and not an aristo one, so no parts need to be changed, ie sump etc.
