Keep standard bulbs in glovebox when you crash and your bleeding from every orifice crawl around to the front of your car and change the bulbs back before you draw your terminal breath

My advice would be see if mr Chris Wilson will do another group buy on his smics. They are truely excellent quality and will last longer than the car probably. A tad expensive but defo worth the money. I managed to get one second hand thanks to SPG.

Aw man this is the type of car I always wished I had the money sitting in the bank waiting for. A cherished uk car. If you dont use it dry store it and cash in later. Value of this is on the up.

Im just wondering if anyone has done this. Ive been undecided for months now whether to fit my stock hood scoop. I got wondering how it would look if it was blended with the bonnet. Anyone done it or got a picture? Cheers y'all

Sounds like you've answered your own question. The fluid should be changed along with the autobox filter/strainer. The ATF fluid should be red in colour. Id start with changing the fluid and strainer and checking sensor connections whilst you down there.

I wonder how many owners have never changed the o2 sensor(s) (NA/TT) which can make a considerable difference to fuel consumption.

Nope they are generally pretty reliable. Is your car for drifting? This puts massive strain on ps pumps. Maybe add an additional power steering cooler.

Please do a detailed write up and see this through to the end. I always wanted to do a 3UZ install years back but I ended up being like a sheep and doing what everyone else does and went NA-TT. As it turns out I prefer building/working on them more than I do driving them. So a V8 build may happen for me yet. I'll watch this with interest mate. Good luck.

Viscous fan is only 4 nuts and its off. Literally 2 minute job.

Id guess doing it from underneath would be easier. £300 is taking the piss unless that is for removal and refurb.

Are the anti squeal plates in? Have you changed the pads and discs recently and forgot to replace them.

If its red its most likely the power steering fluid. Check the pipes the come from the ps reservoir. They are prone to cracking and weeping esp in this heat.

I believe the milage can be altered in the odometer units. Which can be frowned upon but id prob do it. Just to keep my MOT milage consistent and if you have an agreed milage with your insurance company.

Just caught up with this chris. Cheers for the info. I put my j spec clocks/speedo cluster back in today and steering does feel right again. It was never heavy or light it just didn't feel right..this may sound strange and it may have all been in my head but feedback through the wheel feels normal.
