  1. I have recently put these on my tt running bpu and have been fine. Not sure how they compare with HKS as don't have expereince with them but like I said my are fine. Also I bought these from ebay but I only paid something like £40 delivered. Keep having a look because you can get these much cheaper on there, for the exact same plug
  2. Ive got stock front springs of a tt facelift, about 55000 miles done on them
  3. Good man, congratulations mate.
  4. Hi guys just logged back on and seen all the advice, cheers everyone, i will use loads of plus gas and think I will end up buying those wobble extention bars from machine mart as its more or less on my doorstep so nice and easy
  5. Nice one thanks mate, i appreciate the feedback. Weather permitting I will be doing this at the weekend.
  6. Excellent cheers mate, im assuming plus gas is like wd40(a penetrating oil/fluid) Also what did you end up using, was it a long extension bar, and did you move anything out the way for easier access, also sorry for all the questions but did you find removing the cat metal protective housing make it any easier to get the tools in there.
  7. Yeah i know what you mean mate, I was thinking by posting up for advice would help cut down the above mentioned tears and sweating lol.....:sly:
  8. That maybe but i enjoy doing things myself, always a learning curve. Does anyone out there have a more productive comment lol
  9. Jacked up my car earlier in the hope of changing the first cat to a de cat. WTF when i got under and had a look the 3 bolts are near impossible to get to unless you have the right tools. I know ideally it should be up on a ramp but at the mo its out of the question and it doesn't really bother me working under the car. Anyway whats the best tools to get to these and is there any parts under the car i can unbolt and move temporary to make easier access to the first cats bolts. Tools wise Im thinking v long extension bar as I tried with a 10" and wasn't quick long enough so maybe 12"-15". If anyone has done this could they please give me some pointers/tips to how the best way they done it. Cheers people, much appreciated

    MOT Time

I don't mean to rub it in but mine sailed through the mot today:innocent: All I had to do was quickly get some new plates printed up because my plates werent mot friendly. Apparently a new rule was enforced on April 27th, which makes it near impossible to have anything other that (boring) plates:taped: I changed them back over as soon as I left Hope you manage to get yours sorted in time for the free re test buddy
  11. Fooking scum, mines been targeted a few times now. Feel for you mate. Its like you just cant have anything nice these days. Did you report it to the police? When I reported mine, they never really seem interested, its like they are only interested in the easy catch and anything that requires as little paperwork as possible. I know this seems like a bit of a generalisation but im just going by past experience. Hope you get everything sorted mate, chin up
  12. Hi mate I have one, not sure what they are worth. Make me a offer if you want
  13. No signs of any other issues that I can see/hear/feel. Its an auto if this makes any sort of difference:blink:
  14. Sorry to hijack this thread but my car when settled idles between 800 and 850 revs, is this too high? Cheers
  15. Nice one cheers buddy, very much appreciated. I will put the first decat in for now(when it turns up, and after my mot next week) then more than likely go full decat soon after:eyebrows:
  16. Ive recently changed over my drivers side door with no worries. Im 99% certain that all mark 4 supras jspec or uk, n/a or tt will fit the same door
  17. Thanks for the reply. Ive already installed an apexi boost gauge which seems to read what stock boost is supposed to be so it is accurate, and im running on a HKS silent hi power cat back exhaust.
  18. Ok, still no clearer lol... Just need to know if this is safe just to decat first pipe
  19. Well ive done it myself on mine but i have some experience with spraying etc. But to be honest it goes on pretty even, light coats, don't be too heavy handed. This is how mine looks, as you can see I also did the brake light:D
  20. Firstly lol Sorry if this is another boring thread people, I just want to make sure im not gonna fook up the engine. Anyway am I right in thinking that if you are only going to decat just one of the cats, the one to do is the first cat. I hope so as ive already ordered one:rolleyes: So basically ive got a jspec facelift tt and am looking at just replacing the first cat only, will this be safe to do, am i right in thinking by keeping the second cat in will act as a restrictor. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Just need to clear this up because some things i read and says decat first pipe and keep second and others safe decat 2nd pipe and keep first cat, which one is it?
  21. You can get c-west light covers or an alternative cheaper way is to get some tinting spray which E-tech and savage sell it. Basically its just laquer with a black base coat mixed in with it. Easy to do, thats what I have done to mine. One can will easily be enough, ithink I paid £10-£12 delivered from ebay and I gave mine 3 - 4 coats then gave a final coat just with clear lacquer
  22. Yeah there is, I don't know how to paste up threads but if you type in Nice mod for auto owners in the search function should take you straight to it.
  23. As vicky said there is a few of us now in kent, and gravesend is not a million miles away either. You will like it here, very friendly club to be a member of.
  24. Ive just left my manu button where it is, the gear gaitor will cover this but you can still press it through the gaitor, and my od button ive drilled through the gear lever and mounted it on top of the gear knob so it basically sits flush at the top of the knob but still enables you to press it when need be.
