  1. I think i no what you mean, if so The Raven (russ) took a set of these off when we put on new side skirts, may be worth a pm to him.
  2. I have a few bits laying around but no sure what you maean
  3. I don't think he would have had it long because I believe they were only released in the uk late last year
  4. I have this head unit fitted in mine and its pukka, cannot fault this. Free bump
  5. Thats exactly what i did mate, i paid i think £32 delivered. Like said prevoiusly the rubber hoses are shocking. I replaced with 2 samco 45 degree elbows and also needed a joiner to make it fit straight onto my blitz soinc power induction. But I had no problems with the fit of this.
  6. I was tempted bud, but I think you probably know how stubborn i am by now and was determined to do it all by myself even with a broken wrist (just don't tell my doctor) lol But as said on previous post on this thread i think it must have been over tightened, because even using the old long screw driver trick was still a right royal pain in the arse. "He who dares...............Wins"
  7. ah yeah I forgot you had to do that, you are pardoned :d
  8. Cheers for the heads up, will definantly be using this method in future
  9. Its a facelift auto mate, absolutely love it. Bet you can't wait now
  10. Funnily enough I had contemplated that move, but I was just so stubborn at that point and was gonna do it "my way" even if it killed me lol:d
  11. Ive got an xs power fmic:hide: It was a straight forward fitment and does an excellent job, have had no problems with it so you should have no worries in that department mate
  12. Yeah I was cut to ribbons. Think ill buy the proper tool next time
  13. Right this afternoon i decided to do an oil change, 30 minute job i though as when I had an na this is all it took. Yeah right 2 hours later still pi**ing about. I don't know whether I was having a blonde moment or not as i'm usually quite mechanically minded. But I struggled like anything just to get the old oil filter off. I couldn't for the life of me get my hand down the side of the engine bay to get hold of it (tt engine). I then tried jacking the car right up and trying to get hold of it from underneath, i had my hand on it but just couldn't spin it off, couldn't fit any tools in there to grip it either. Drastic measures, from the engine bay i whacked a long screwdriver through it to wrench it, finally i freed it up, oil pi**ing everywhere then gut back under the car and managed to spin it off by hand and ended up dropping it, so more pi**ing about trying to fish it out. By the end my engine bay looked like an oil explosion and I was absolutely covered. Anyway all cleaned up now and filter and oil sorted, there must be some easier way at getting to the filter. Probably something so simple that im gonna end up kicking myself. Don't fancy doing that again in a hurry, mind you it doesn't help with a broken wrist :d
  14. Day off!!!!!!! Whats the matter with ya lol. I keep looking at your car with all the stickers and to be honest mate i think i prefer it
  15. Ill do it for £12, im not sure whether the wiring loom for preface lift is difference to the facelift. The clock would prob need bonding in?, straight forward to do tho.
  16. I paid something like £50 for mine from ebay and got all the trimmings, although I think it was a special offer and that was about 18 months ago and still going strong. But usually the usual practice is you get what you pay for but as i said earlier that seemed like a hell of alot of money for a polisher
  17. Personally that seems like a bit of an overkill, and far to much money to pay for a polisher. You can get excellent for a lot lot less, probably looking at about £100 - £120, maybe less but ill probably be proved wrong
  18. Alright mate, I have one but its recently been sprayed white and where the clock is, it has been opened up to 60mm to accommodate the facelift clock or a 60mm gauge.
  19. Go for it bud, should try and get a large group together and have a meet in that area. I no Dan4 organises weekly meets on a sunday at westwood (thanet) usually. Anyway sorry Russ don't mean to be taking the attention away from your motor
  20. Yeah south east mate. Im from deal and Russ is in Monkton (margate way)
  21. By the lookof it they will be rebuilt using steel internals, i assume instead of ceramic. Im probably wrong tho as I have probably read it wrong anyway
