  1. I have one. When my car went in for paint it got a few marks on it in laquer only tho, but the bodyshop replaced it. It also has the TRD logo on the underside of the blade underneath the laquer. With a light flatting and a fresh coat of laquer it will look 100% PM if interested and i'll ssend you some pic's.
  2. I have both side pods in origional 040 white. Can post this afternoon. PM me if interested.
  3. Remember the idea of the group buy was to get a rear cage deal secured for a reasonable price with options to suit the majority of people interested. The company are looking at doing the full cage while developing the rear for their own benefit. There are many cages on the market to suit all areas of motorsport and regulations, some of which are nearly £2k. My plan was to offer a chance to get hold of a cage made to how we would like it and to an affordable budget, i myself want the cage for show more than anything although it will be done to a high spec and MSA standards.
  4. Just to keep everyone up to date, here is the latest email from the manufacturer:- Thanks for getting back to us, I am pleased to see that there is a good amount of interest in the cage proposal. I have had a read though all of the responses and there are a few things that I think I should clarify before anything goes official: The realistic time-scale of the development for a full cage is going to be at least a week, more likely 2. A rear would be quicker, but it makes sense for us to be able to offer a full cage. From having a pattern, it would then be 4 - 6 weeks to have some produced and ready for sale. Our development shop is currently booked up to the end of the month with other developments, so we would not be able to start until early May. When it comes to developing the cage, we are obviously looking to have something that suits everyone's needs, so any input in preferred mounting points etc. is appreciated. We will only really be able to confirm these details once we have the car in our hands, so to speak. The cage will be a fully welded assembly (apart from any with removable diagonals) and the only welding required will be on the fitting kit plates supplied. The cage itself will come in black powder coat as the standard finish - other colours are available at a surcharge of £50 (red, grey, silver, white). The front cage will be made up of 3 separate parts, 2 x front legs (LH & RH) and a screen rail, all of which will be bolted into position. These could be removed quite easily if required. We will aim to have the legs avoiding the dash as best possible - although some modification may be inevitable. We can also offer a single fixed diagonal with harness bars for £350.00 - this option was not included originally.
  5. I've got the 'More Power' bug now i've been NA-T for 10months. I have been reccomended to try a link ECU and go from there as it is a very capable bit of kit.
  6. It is a question i will ask the manufacturer Gav. The cage hasn't been designed or made yet, the pic's are puerly of one they made 5 years ago for a customer to the customers spec. This is why i've started the post as we will have some input in the design i.e mounting points etc. If i get authorisation from the mod's and enough genuine interest i will pass all the info from this thread to the manufacturer, sit down with them and see what they think, then i'll post the final spec's here and start collecting deposits. I know its hopeful but i would like cages in cars enad of April/ start May.
  7. Yeah i've got a genuine copy somewhere mate. Don't know file size but could possibly post it to you?!
  8. I really like the look of the Cusco cage that 'Jamie P' recently sold, i think something along these lines will be the benchmark. Jamie if you don't mind could you please Email me some pic's of the cage and mounting points so i can go to the manufacturer with them as an idea to base the cage around. As soon as the Mod's authorise the Group Buy we are talking a matter of weeks for the cages. When we have enough people (idealy 10 to keep prices as in this thread) it will take them approx 3 days to design and build the full range i.e Rear, full and door bars etc then they will make the ones we want for the group buy.
  9. I believe the door bars will attach to the front of the cage to the rear (A pillar to B pillar). I'm liking the look of the Cusco style cage with the single removable bar, and mounted to the rear suspension. Like i've said we can have the basic rear cage tailored to whatever the majority of us want and go from there. Thanks for the interest and support guys and also the constructive comments, all of which have been taken on board and will be forwarded to the manufacturer.
  10. L33 - they haven't done a full cage as yet. They are planning on making a rear if i can get enough interest and while doing that they will also make a full cage and door bars etc which will then go on general sale.
  11. Thanks for fixing the pic's Pot! This is a good point M Life. As the cage hasn't been made yet the design and spec's can be tailored to suit within reason. The pic's are from a cage they made for the Sup in 2005 and is just an idea of what they can do. I will see what the majority thing regarding mounting points etc and go from there.
  12. The prices are for the cage only, i believe fitting and postage will be an additional cost. When i get the all clear from the mod's i will contact the supplier and answer all of your questions. Like i statedd the prices are based on 10 units, any less than that and the price may go up a bit which is out of my hands. As for the removable diagonal bar it is intended for people who want to be able to use the rear seats, then bolt the rear bar in for track days etc. Pic's on the way.
  13. 1) Gixer_81 - Rear cage with single removable diagonal.
  14. I have been in talks with a UK based Roll Cage manufacturer regarding MKIV Supra roll cages. They made one in 2005 for a customer but didn't keep the pattern so would have to start again from scratch. They would be looking to develop a full cage, but the rear would be done as an option on its own. Below is the email i recieved from them:- Please see proposed final retail pricing below: Front cage - £190.00 Rear cage (single fixed diagonal) - £290.00 Rear cage (single removable diagonal) - £350.00 Rear cage (fixed X diagonal) - £350.00 Rear cage (fixed X diagonal & harness bars) - £375.00 Door-bars (single, per side) - £55.00 So a full cage will come in at anything between £590 - £675 dependant on options. All prices are subject to VAT @ 17.5% Obviously we are unable to produce one off's at this price, so would need to have a minimum quantity of 10 rear cages to be able to honour all of the above prices. If we can't reach the 10 units then we may have all cages, to suit the quantity. The cage will be of 6 point specification and will be suitable for MSA spec racing when installed as a full cage. There will be plates which need to be welded into the car which the cage then bolts onto. We generally say that someone experienced with cars could fit the cage over a weekend as long as they have access to a welder. If you have any questions, then please don't hesitate to get in touch. Pic's below of origional cage they manufactured. http://sn122w.snt122.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=0&messageId=b8c87914-31d7-11df-afe9-002264c1d5b6&Aux=44|0|8CC93FBA630FCE0|| http://sn122w.snt122.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=1&messageId=b8c87914-31d7-11df-afe9-002264c1d5b6&Aux=44|0|8CC93FBA630FCE0|| http://sn122w.snt122.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=2&messageId=b8c87914-31d7-11df-afe9-002264c1d5b6&Aux=44|0|8CC93FBA630FCE0|| http://sn122w.snt122.mail.live.com/att/GetAttachment.aspx?tnail=3&messageId=b8c87914-31d7-11df-afe9-002264c1d5b6&Aux=44|0|8CC93FBA630FCE0|| I have put this to the Moderators who have agreed it in principal and are waiting to hear back off the traders on the forum. If interested please add your name and cage required to the list below.
