  1. I know roughly where you mean now. I haven't been through them yet so it's time for some investigation I think! I was spoilt for choice when I lived in Leeds: every second road seems to have a tunnel in the city centre. The motorway running through the city centre is tunnel all the way.
  2. There's a tunnel? I don't think I've seen a tunnel in Bristol in 2 years of living here!
  3. I don't want one of these. I NEED one! This is the coolest thing I've seen all day.
  4. After having a chat with the guys from Universal Turbos at Japfest (they did the fitting of my current turbos, very helpful too) it turns out that the R in CT20R simply stands for "Remanufactured". Turns out I was chatting b*****s before.
  5. A brilliant day indeed. Got quite warm during some points of the day! Here's a few photos I took during the course of the day.
  6. Yes, it DOES sound rather exciting, doesn't it!
  7. With regards to getting a siezed piston out, (and I realise it may be a bit late now!) I found the easiest way to remove it was to reconnect it back up to the brake line, bleed, then pump the brake pedal till the piston is almost out of the calliper. I had the same problem with my rear J Spec calliper. Tried pushing it out from the back through the hole like you did. Turns out the braking system can generate quite a pressure! Edit to add that I used something around 300 grit wet and dry to remove some rust present between the dust seal and the piston seal. Took it back to the bare metal. The brake has been fine since.
  8. Another vote for the Silkolene 10W50.
  9. You can get the Silkolene Pro S in 1 litre bottles too: here
  10. There's a bigger one?? Where is that? Do tell!
  11. This was on an episode of QI once. Apparently something to do with dust cycles caused by factories only operating from Monday to Friday. When it comes to Saturday, the factories are closed, somehow making it more likely to rain. Of all the days in the week, it is more likely to rain on a Saturday. You're not just imagining it...
  12. My flatmate keeps spotting this one in and around St Pauls. Doesn't sound too pretty by the descriptions he gives!
  13. In working condition. The bearing on mine is completly shot, making lifting my car extremely difficult! (Yes I know! ) There's a crisp £10 (and a Twix) up for grabs if you've got a spare one lying around. Would prefer to collect it at Japfest next week. Will also collect in the Bristol area.
  14. Here's some other data that I found. This is probably just going to confuse the matter because the numbers don't quite match with the documents above, but it may help someone here. I forgot to note the source of the data. Chances are it was on here somewhere. 15. From what I gather, the J Spec turbos are CT20. When the CT20B was released (which is a more advanced turbo, possibly bigger too) the old one started to be called a CT20A, just to help confuse us. When I bought my Supra, it came with an invoice for a couple of remanufactured turbos. The part number that was fitted was CT20R. The R suffix in this case seems to point to the round turbine housing inlet. Seems to be a pretty rare feature in a turbo.
  16. Here's some data I found on the two turbos during a Google search (I'm planning my own hybrid build soon) CT-12B (UK Spec Steel) CT-20 (J Spec Ceramic) The internal dimensions are given at the end of the documents. Hope this helps Andy
  17. That was me! Hi! /vbb/images/smilies/bbcode_grin.gif I was on my way back from picking these up from Wez. Were you in a Supra? I didn't see any on the road that day (apart from Wez's). Surprising considering the number of miles I covered.
  18. If its any help... My neighbours must think I'm crackers.
  19. Will do, give me a min. All four tyres should be getting replaced this week. Had a puncture in one of the rears this morning. I was going to wait until the tread was on the limit but I might as well replace them all in one go now. I'll use this opportunity to get a full geometry setup done at Interpro too, as all the tyres have uneven wear. When life gives you lemons...
  20. I'm trying to identify the wheels on my Supra. As far as I can tell, they are Ultralite Daiki. What I can't tell is are they gunmetal or black? What do you guys think? At first, I would say they are Gunmetal. But after looking around, I saw this picture describing the colour as Black. This is confusing! For a closeup see below (you may be able to guess the reason I'm asking the question! I'm still crying on the inside ) (Please excuse the brake dust!)
  21. Awesome! If these get here before Japfest, I will be one happy chappy!
  22. Missing option: Sunderland AFC!
