  1. Bananas on the BBQ make a great dessert. Stick them on as you serve your main meal, turn once during cooking. They should be completely black on the outside when done. Split them open lengthways and drizzle them with a little rum (or spirit of your choice). A sprinkling of sugar and a dollop of double cream to finish off and welcome to heaven!
  2. If it helps, I've found the assymmetrics to be as good as the GSD3s in the dry and better than the GSD3s in the wet. Not a bad tyre all round. Not a true scientific comparison mind, I had the GSD3s on a front wheel drive car.
  3. Round the back of Ikea / Tesco in Horfield. Heading towards St. Pauls.
  4. Something like this will probably be the easiest bet. Has wires going in instead of a moulded cigar lighter plug too, means it will be easy to splice into your cars' wiring. You could design and build your own DC-DC converter, but probably not for a total cost of around a tenner. Getting a switched feed will be pretty easy. IIRC, the lighter socket is already switched. Just hook into the two wires going to that. EDIT: This one is a little closer to home!
  5. How about turning up for your school reunion in a taxi and enjoying a few beers with your friends. Chances are, you probably won't see half of them ever again.
  6. How on EARTH does that red and black crane stay upright? I love big engineering projects like this!
  7. I found that a 1/2" (female) to 3/8" (male) socket adapter fits nicely in the stock BOV pipework. Add a jubilee clip and jobs a gooddun. FWIW, I find the sound of the Supra with no BOV pretty undesirable. It's just lots of oscillating wategate sounds. Interestingly, you also get a "tschh" sound that it remarkably similar to the stock BOV when recirculating.
  8. One heading up Ashley hill (St. Andrews), turning onto Hurlingham road, silver J-Spec L 523 *** lady driver, the other white spoilerless heading down Ashley Hill. 3.55 pm Friday 20th.
  9. Why is there a hole in the turbine housing for the 1st turbo?
  10. It may be worth listing what fuel computer the car has to cope with the 550cc injectors on a J-Spec. Also I didn't see the colour mentioned in the ad. Good luck with your sale!
  11. Hello and welcome! There are quite a few of us from Airbus on here! There must be about half a dozen Supras on site too. Try and join us at one of the south west meets, there will be a BIG one in the next month or so. See the "South West" section of the forum for details. Have Fun Andy
  12. If you're handy with a soldering iron, you can use six 510 Ohm resistors (or thereabouts) instead. That's all the injector adapter is. Connect one between each injector line and +12V.
  13. Do let us know how you get on!
  14. I feel your pain Homer! I've been trying for the last month or so to get my head around fluid dynamics, just so I can understand this from first principles. My biggest problem so far is that as an Electronics Engineer, I try to find analogies with batteries, resistors and pieces of wire. It just doesn't work the same with compressible fluids! I thought my plan might have worked too, as I was taught first principles of EE with tanks of water, taps and pipes!
  15. Here's just one page I have read in the past couple of days of research. I have no first hand knowledge on these things, just accounts from other people.
  16. Homer, For compressor flow maps, I found this site to be a really helpful tutorial.
  17. Have you got the white dongle or the black one? I've read reports that the black one is better, especially in weaker signal areas. Interesting reading though. I'm currently reading up on different mobile broadband suppliers for a Car PC.
  18. The longest part of the job is jacking the car up and taking the wheel and brake off. I would recommend doing all 5 if you're doing 1. Each stud is only about £2.
  19. It seems to be the picture in post #9. If you click no, it doesn't appear. The address from the picture starts https:// too... HTH Edit: I'm using IE6 so I get a slightly different dialog. You get the idea though...
  20. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=151593 ?
  21. I bought my replacement aerial mast from This Guy. I can't see any Supra aerials for sale at the moment, but when I bought mine, it was about £35 plus delivery, just for the telescoping post. That was the cheapest I could find at the time (about 3 months ago). Hope this helps
  22. The expansion bottle is aimed to fill the battery tray when it overflows? The elbow pipe where the turbo coolant returns isn't "bling" enough for you? The cooling system won't be adequate enough to handle the inevitable battery fire that will occur when the battery cover frets through the positive wire resting on it? I give in!
