White car is poorly again. I took it to Silverstone Garage as there wasn't much I could do to troubleshoot, turns out it's an 'exhaust misfire' rather than an engine misfire. Suspected sticky valve, which would be a head off or engine swap (apparently an engine swap would be cheaper!) so I may just end up flogging the car.. we'll see!

Looks like the Ferry is no problem (£57), I have a tent (not opened it for years, I'll check it hasn't been eaten), I'll ask IanIan about the room and double check I can get the time off work. Would I be paying for the race ticket in cash? How much would it be recommended to change? I'm a very light drinker (thankfully) so I'm hoping that might 'save' me a bit. I haven't driven outside of the UK before, need to make sure I have everything covered.

..I've just looked on the Celica Club forums and he's considering paying £750-£1k for the seats, he must be bonkers! They go for £300 tops on here, and £600 for the Recaro Speeds (which you probably can buy frames for).

I had a search on the net, but turned up nothing. We'll have to stick with 'buy a real car' I'm afraid.

I know it's possibly a bit late, but would I still be able to go to this? What costs should I expect if I can? What tends to happen at these things? The Toyota Sprint Series event which clashed has now been postponed (to a date I can't attend ) so it frees me up..
