  1. i have coverd around 4000 miles most of witch have bben prtty hard. the turbo came with the kit i have been told its a re branded garret from there old stock , im not sure on that though. but i have had no problems with any parts . i can get a dyno plot soon as its goin on a rolling road at the end of the month again .
  2. yes i did do all the fitting myself . and i had the car mapped at rolling motion in cearphilly. but the fitting was pretty straight forward and didnt really throw up any challenges that someone with basic mechanical skills and a bit of imagination couldnt overcome. i did forget to mention , i also needed a form of monitoring the afr witch is essential to avoid cooking the motor so i went for the innovate lc1 with digital display that cost an additional £150. but its a must have.
  3. ffr gto mmmmmmm i want, dont they come with the ls engine of your chioce anyway?
  4. hi , i did a na-t conversion and im verry glad i did. i chose to go for a bugit xspower kit that comes with 98% of the hardware you need minus a few small cheap parts that you can pick up from any good hardware store and the hole lot came to around £850 with shipping from the us. appart from the actual car parts you will need some soprt of fuel management system that can also stop the mapm sensor from cutiing the fuel. i chose the greddy emanage as i could pik it up for £150 including the greddy map sensor, suport tool and sortware for the pc, if you are not up 2 speed with mapping on a pc someone who is comes in verry handy. i found that once the turbo was installed and the car was tuned the clutch could not handle the extra power so invested in a higher qulity clutch at £250. Now the car is running buetifully and can comfortably out sprint my dads standard manual jspec tt altho many on here will argue , we did the tests and found the results . it has been converted for around 6 months and i have had no reliablity issues (that i havent caused) with the kit or the car and im happy i did it . now the whoile kit and conversion cost me around £1400. I baught the car for £2500 and its a manual so thats £3900 for a verry nice looking fast manual 300bhp+car . i dont think you could buy a tt for this price in any type or tidy condition , so as as far as im concerned this was a verry good way of goin on a tight buget. i know the tt has an lsd and better brakes but these are all thing i can add wen money permits, in the mean time it great fun to drive and it allways makes me smile , if you do decide to go for it feel free 2 pm me and ill give you any info from my expreience i can ,
  5. i will upload the pics as soon as i get back to my house pc ,
  6. that would be great i will pm you next week , cheers
  7. i thaught it would be a stab in the dark , i just had the car running and fuelling right. and ill probable never get it back to the way it was
  8. i tried that but they said it would have to be done again from scrathch and it took hours last time ans wasnt cheap so i thaught if in could get someone elses values in it would only need minor adjusting. and not take all the time
  9. for some unapparent reason, my emanage blue complety died last week .luckilly i manged to get another one pretty cheap bu i cant afford another session on a rolling road getting it set up. so if anybody els has a basic na/t setup running around 7 psi on standard injectors and h/g , would you be able to post a copy of your values jus so i have somwer to start and then i can the fine tuning done . if you could it would be mutch apriciated , thanks

  11. is the mk 5 ever going to happen , iv been hearing roumours for a few years now but still no signe
  12. rear top wishbone bushes are comman and cause poor handling , lift the car and check the wheels for play
  13. im not sure whats goin on here, why is someone acting embarresd to own a quality beutifull car? yes it is in the tts shadown and its not as powerfull or fast , but they drive superbly and compard to anything els you can buy for that kind of price id say thers not mutch faster , at the the end of the day its still a 3ltr with over 200bhp so its far from slow.
  14. what are you looking for for the calipers and discs
  15. i have a pair of dunlop sport sps up for grabs , thay are used but in good condition with no scrubbing or perishing , thaey have 4-5 mm of tread remaing all across, offers if anybody is interested ,
  16. i was jus about to post a thread namedn ,I"i LOVE my car" so rather than post a thread ill put it in here ,. today for the first time in a long time i took my supe out just for a drive down the nice smooth swoopy b roads, my car has had problems and mishaps for the last 10 months , but today i had time to change all the oils, fit new wishbones on the back, and re-aligne all the wheels , so i took it out and it all came flooding back . i rememberd why id spent all my time and money on this machine , the way the car drives sounds and feelis is like no other jap performance car , just hearing the roar echoing back at me as the waistgate opend is amazing and the way it eats the corners playfully sliding the rear out , ... what a car , it always reminds me why i never want to part with it , take it out on a good driving road , jus you and the car , and have some fun , itl come back to you
  17. mines been wineing in 1st 2nd and 3rd for nearly 2 years now. had 2 clutches numerous services and still the same , but its still going so i wouldnt worry about it too mutch
  18. a 235/45/17 will be closer to having the same rolling radious as the 255/40/17 as th 40 is a percentage of the overall width .
  19. id tell her to get her sweaty ass off my nice clean car !
  20. id go for more than that , lets try and keep the value of these great cars up. people selling them for pennies ruins the magic of them
