  4. It seemed to be OK yesterday, but i believe it to be the 2nd turbo failing to spin at around 4rpm. I think on a thread in 2005 it said about the EACI needs to be checked/replaced??
  5. Yeh and the 2nd one kicks in it's awesome. Mind you, mine don't always kick in!!! I paid £5995 for UK TT 93 with 123k on it
  6. Any ideas what it should cost in labour / parts to have something like this sorted if it is the VSV / Actuator or maybe damaged hoses??
  7. I have just read an interesting thread about the VSV, but problem is I'm a pen pusher so it's all a bit French to me!! Fantastic that we might have narrowed in down a bit and sounds very very similar to what the other chaps have had, so pretty sure were in the right ball park. Well any further information guys would be much appreciated - i think i might take it down to Nexus in Southend (chap on here told me they're pretty good) and ask them to have a look. Thanks again.
  8. Yes it only happens rarely, but have noticed it a little more frequently. Bit of a pain in the rear end when you're trying to give it a bit to get past someone. Would be must appreciated for any help guys n girls - ps Homer the £10 cheque is in the post. Many thanks and kind Regards
  9. It's a little starnge and sometimes embarrassing getting passed by a Corsa!!! When it was getting stuck, i took my foot off again and put my foot to the floor and then it was OK again. Someone did mentioned internal clutch plates wearing, even on an Auto?
  10. Gentlemen/Ladies When accelarating 9/10 the power is fine. But now and again when i boot it (in both Auto and Manual) the rev's go up really slow and sometimes don't even go past 5,000 rpm. The Turbos sound fine and the power is still there most of the time, its just the odd time the above happens. Is is my clutch plates?? any ideas as it's p ing me off - Anyone know any decent garages in the Colchester area to take it to for a look over??? Thanks and Kind Regards
  11. so 70 odd BHP more for about £1k all in - not bad Wonder what the 4.9 stanard 0-62mph time goes down to with that mod!!
  12. Thanks guys i have a stock UK 93 TT with 120k miles, I read somewhere that with UK stock you don't need new exhaust etc - or am i barking up the wrong tree - in short i am asking with a UK model is it any cheaper!!!!!!!!!
  13. Help - Can't find anywhere how much it will cost, including labour - any ideas???? There is an excellent report on BPU by one of the guys on here, but the most important part is how much:search:
  14. How much will it cost in all - i.e parts and fitted and where's best?
  15. What's the first upgrade - i've seen BCU mentioned is that just re-mapping the ECU? and if so how much will it set me back and what are the BHP gains??
  16. I bought my 93 auto TT UK for £5995 and it's Auto and fantastic. I never thought i would like an Auto by switching the box to manual mode gives you the best of both worlds
  17. My arse squeeks quite alot, but that's my problem. The car boot squeeks a little
  18. I will be there again. PS Monkey if you were the blond lady handing out the maps, you were almost as good looking as my car lol
  19. That would have been me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Thanks will keep an eye on it and will revet, Like i say it's imtermitent at the mo and doesn't happen all that often.
  21. Not sure if i have any problems here, but i've noticed that on ocassion when switching from Auto to Manual mode when i floor it say 3RD (D) it gets stuck at 5,000 rpm and does not go any further. The auto and manual then seem to work ok 99.9% of the time and rev to the redline - but just once in a while when in manual and shifting from 2nd to 3rd in Manaul Auto it starts to rev and then just pretty much slows and rev's no further than 5,000 rpm. Is it the Auto box begining to go??!!!!
  22. It was great fun - poor little chap on the first corner stacked it as Marco said and no one helped him!!!! Good to chat last night Marco i was with Lisa in the Silver one, trying to stay up behind you!!!!!
  23. doing the Tunnel run Saturday at the O2 Dome - great charity too
  24. Let me check with the Mrs to see if Saturday is viable - although Sunday will be ok. Mind you a little cruise down Colchester on a Saturday night never hurt anyone did it
