to be honest any painting is not that hard at all, i resprayed my old "xr3i" back in the day with rattle cans, aslong as you prep it well and have a clean space to work in its fine! for the price of a proper spray gun i would suggest its a worthwhile investment! but other than that i wouldnt bother with matte just crack on with the decent stuff!

This is a feeler thread. I am considering parting with my Supra as to be honest i dont drive it enough and when i do i feel that it is wasted, being a TT auto where i live. I rarely get on boost and when i do its short lived, yes there is the yearly trip to france i do to visit my parents and the odd weekend blast but to be honest i think i would prefer a manual. That said i am interested to see if there are any N/A-T N/A manual owners out there looking to get a hold of a TT. My car has undergone a fair amount of work in the last 2 years, but is by no means show quality that some of the big builds i see on here are. Basics L reg (94) Black TT auto Mileage - 165,500 - this is a mix of miles and Km (import certificate showing imported at 140.000 km) Car was stood for a year or so when i bought it as a non runner in 2014. the following works carried out by garage whifbitz in august 2014 1 CLEVITE ENGINE BEARING SET 1 TOYOTA SUPRA OIL PUMP 2 LARGE O-RING 1 SMALL O-RING 1 LOCTITE SEALANT 1 GULF COMPETITION 5W40 ENGINE OIL 1 K&N OIL FILTER 1 TOYOTA FRONT CRANK SEAL 1 TOYOTA CAM COVER SEALS 1 TOYOTA REAR CRANK SEAL 1 CLEANER 1 TOYOTA CRANK PULLEY 1 GATES 2JZ CAMBELT 8 TOYOTA FLYWHEEL BOLT 1 USED TOYOTA DRIVE PLATE 1 USED TOYOTA SUPRA CRANKSHAFT 1 ENGINE ASSEMBLY FLUID 1 USED TOYOTA AIR FILTER PIPE/CLIPS 1 BLITZ LM AIR FILTER KIT 3 COIL PACK BRACKET 7 TOYOTA COIL PACK CLIP 2 TOYOTA COIL PACK WIRE 1 WHIFBITZ 2JZ COIL PACK SET 6 COIL PACK BRACKET BOLT 1 FERREA 2JZ VALVE STEM SEALS 2 TOYOTA CAMSHAFT SEAL 1 TOYOTA POWER STEERING PIPE 1 TOYOTA TURBO OIL DRAIN HOSES 2 TOYOTA SUPRA TURBO INLET GASKET 2 TOYOTA SUPRA TURBO OUTLET GASKET 1 WHIFBITZ TURBO LINK PIPES - BLACK 1 ARP MAIN STUD KIT 2JZ 1 ARP ROD BOLT KIT 2JZ 1 GULF POWER STEERING FLUID 1 LITRE 3 GULF GEARBOX OIL 1 LITRE 1 TOYOTA PCV VALVE SEAL 1 TOYOTA CAM COVER BREATHER HOSES 1 TOYOTA PCV BREATHER HOSE 1 SILICON VACUUM HOSE 1 TOYOTA BOV HOSE 1 WHIFBITZ HEATER HOSES 1 ANTI FREEZE 1 WHIFBITZ RESTRICTOR RING 1 WHIFBITZ 1.3 BAR RAD CAP 1 TOYOTA UK SPEC CALIPER N/S 2 TOYOTA UK SPEC FRONT BRAKE DISCS 1 TOYOTA UK SPEC FRONT BRAKE PADS 1 GULF 5.1 BRAKE FLUID 1 WHIFBITZ STAGE 1 HYBRID SUPRA TURBOS 2 TOYOTA MANIFOLD TO TURBO GASKET 2 TURBO TO Y-PIPE GASKET total of £6,627.23 The good Has uk spec front brakes as above one is under 2 years old. Paintwork in general is poor, it is passable but would require a respray to be perfect (laquer peel is happening on bonnet and roof) All in all i think this is a brilliant starting point for someone who wants to take on a build (has more money than me) Any questions do please ask, i appreciate this is not the best advert but being im really not sure i want to part with this car its the best i can do right this second photos to follow

i would take a r34 over my TT any day. -
as above! mine has been missing since ive had the car. so if anyone has a spare one hanging about drop me a pm.
-
No.. I don't know that show so not sure how to take that haha
-
A first date is just that .. number 1. With that in mind you have no idea if you will really even get on, if you do you have no idea if you will end up in a relationship or just a quick bang, my suggestion go to a nice bar and have a drink or two, shoot the shit and see how it goes, keep it short couple of hours at most, have a reason to cut the evening short you will seem busy / in demand and she will then wonder if she said something wrong.. then if you like her call her if not she is expecting it.
-
looked nice TRD spoiler, had a mkivsupra.net sticker above the rear wheels.
-
To be honest I'd take a punt at selling mine at a higher price and having it not sell for months.. let's face it some people don't think to look elsewhere, owners clubs etc. . Those people would see the current cars for sale at a set price.. an owner from here would be able to provide a far more in depth advert... I think comparatively a owners car would probably sell over the bodged adds on there a the moment.

So how would one go about advertising a car to the USA for export in 2 years time..?
-
Yeah.. exactly why they would be buying them now before prices rise and they can capitalize on the American market opening.
-
Im surprised we haven't had a "export" company on here yet buying up cars to export
-
Im not entirely sure how desirable importing would be to them being RHD, its 2 years till they can import so i guess time will tell!
-
i guess because on here prices seem to still be reasonable, so its not so noticeable!
-
makes sense i suppose!
-
I understand why you would buy a supra from the owners club, however selling one? judging by the prices elsewhere ebay/pistonheads auto trader.. why would you bother?! i guess if you wanted to know your car was going to another enthusiast then i get it, but unless the prices of our cars have suddenly sky rocketed im a bit lost. i have been thinking recently about potentially selling mine and getting something else, and looking at the prices people are advertising TT auto's for im almost convinced its the best idea. since when did they fetch between 9 - 12k! ?? and N/A Autos 5k? have i slipped into a parrallel universe?
-
These things have been covered a thousand times. The search box is your friend, but to save you time. Carpet. Either try a chap on here called Keron he may have some decent used carpets in, or if you want your wallet emptied, call a Toyota main dealer, no idea if they would get it certainly wouldn't be off the shelf. Alternatively dye them yourself, for about £15 and 2 minutes of your time on eBay. Seats yes 100's Will fit.
-
As above. Not only that but even if you bought a supra elsewhere you would im 99% sure end up being a member on here, old cars go wrong.. this site and members are the best resource to save £££ in the long run.

ill take some tommorow! really an odd one and not something i have ever come accross before! doesnt help the car is black !

Rather than starting two threads being that the two went hand in hand i thought i would just create one. Having some serious issues with water marks on the rear spoiler and front bumper. I have tried everything i can think of to remove them, T cut, Polish, WD 40, Vinegar .. nothing will shift them! has anyone got any tricks to remove them? it almost seems like it has got under the paint? i removed the rear spoiler in order to A) try and sort the water marks and B) also clean around the bootlid where it sits as it was a bit grimey, i have plugged the holes with grommets for the time being, but actually im really liking the de-spoilered look. Because my car is stock bodied i dont want to make it permanent so i was thinking if i cut the bolts that attatch the spoiler down so they dont poke out the top and then use filler to smooth off the top and respray, i can then re attatch the rear spoiler at a later date should i so wish. Has anyone done this? if not does anyone have any better ideas on how to do this?
