  2. Any of you fancy going to a car show over in Holland, in the next 3 months ??? I,m in the middle of getting a few dates together from club members there , regarding car shows. Its not gonna be expensive so if i get a few of you to go i,ll get some prices , petrol, ferries, hotel etc. If no ones interested that's ok as i,ll be going anyhow. Cheers guys . Tim ( lewysdanny ) PS i,ll leave this thread active for 2 weeks...:p

  6. Hey guys, anyone know the price of the rubber seal that's located in front of the slam panel and the start of the front cone. When the the bonnets closed its the seal that can be seen at the front of the bonnet gap ???
  7. Met Willie & Shirley from the Netherlands , and got to say what a lovely couple. Willie and Shirley,s knowledge of Supra,s and our club was most impressive . Its a real pis-er that the weather wasn,t so good after the effort in coming over from Holland. I hope they come over again next year for J/P , so more members can meet this great couple.
  8. Hey John, has that Lui guy sent you the tickets and passes yet ??? If he has can you bring mine on Monday. Cheers Tim
  9. See you there , as per normal.
  10. Thought i,d get this done, prior to Japfest. Took my tt 6 sp into a local garage , and after 3 hours got a call alls done. Went to collect my car . Arrived at the garage and had a chat with the mechanic, he said he doubts if the diff oil had been changed in donkeys years, as what came out was almost like tar, ( he kept it to show me ) so this i guess was a good call getting the diff oil changed the same time as the gearbox oil. But before booking it in , i wanted to know the products used for each of the three oil changes. Gearbox + Diff , the oil used for both of these was Morris MTF Fully synthetic , this is the newer better, gear/diffbox oil , and for the engine oil he used Morris fully synthetic 5w/30. ( i know the engine oil is,nt the best but as i change this every three months, its a good oil for regular changes ) My car is a daily driver. Paid the bill £120 , and off i went. Before the gearbox oil was changed , to select 1st or reverse after a cold night could be a bit stiff . Got in it this morning after a realy cold night , and it slipped into 1st and reverse with no bother , and changing gears now feels sooooo much smoother . So its my conclusion if you,ve got a gearbox thats a bit testy in gear selection when cold, would be to have an oil change, before paying big bucks on a garage to fault find . TAT TA ........ 11. Yeah why not , i,m up for it .
  12. QUICK TIP . If you got a Dremmel , use the fine attachment polisher . All my rims are curbed so i started on the worse one today. Once you,ve buffed the rim and got rid of the scratches and pitted spots, i rubbed it down with 1200 wet n dry, looks 100% better . By the way i used a Clark Rotary Tool , much better than Dremmel , with more attachments..
  13. Yeah just looking at how to reveal the codes. It seems to be through the edcb thats near the throttle body in the engine bay. So thats the next thing on the agenda for my son, this w/e. Cheers Listy
  14. Hey guys , got this problem. After starting the car from cold ( first thing in the morning ) or after its been left for a few hours , i drive it till the engine warms up (ussually 3-4 mls ) then i get two warning lights come on . One is the large red triangle, thats on the center of the dash, the other is a yellow engine light that comes on to the right ( in the cluster of three ). It does,nt have any effect of the car, as far as i can tell , but they,re constantly on once the engine,s warm. Any ideas ? Cheers fella,s . My car is a 95 tt BPU
  15. Sounds like a plan. Plus we can spice it up a bit on the micky 4
  16. Hey John why dont we just meet Listy at Magor services M4, like last year, as that seemed to work fine !!! + Have a laugh with the other boys that are going to J/P that also meet at Magor services
  17. Hey John you old sod, the last time i chatted to you was at that run out to Cheddar Gorge , with Lisa . I bloody thought you kicked the bucket and now driving a Yaris in heaven !!!!!!!! Come to a meet , would love to do a catch up . Tim
  18. Hey mate , i use Mc Guires 2 stage. Use the leather cleaner first , then the leather cream conditioner. Does the job for me .
  19. Looking at the pic again you could still drop it by maybe 20 ml, but how far d,you wanna go with it ??
  20. Twisted, it looks to me like its been lowered already. I lowered my first tt by 40 ml , and although your,s hav,nt been dropped that much , the 18"s look to fill the arch . Which makes me think its been done already !!
  21. Can anyone tell me whats involved in having the front arches rolled, and what sort of price i,d be charged ?? It,s only the front arches that need to be rolled , as i,m running 20" rims that fowl the arches on full lock . Cheers Tim ( lewysdanny ):p
  22. Ellis, give me a bell if you,ve got anymore probs. I,d imagine once the rail is cut back enough you should have the room to get a socket with extension on the offending nut.
  23. Hope to get a few for this meet to sort times of Japfest from Wales, and any other boys wanting to drive down to Castle Combe for this massive event. PS i,m going into hospital in the next wk or so for a shoulder op , so might not make the 1ST Monday of May. Which will be the one prior to J/F
