Hey Pete, totally agree . I put an ad up a few months ago and got some negative comments from members on here . This was regarding price . IMO that as long as we have the odd few that continue to make these type of remarks on op,s FOR SALE ads , firstly detracts from the ad , and secondly will do nothing to help the guy trying to sell his car when we get knobs sabotaging his ad by questioning weather the price he,s asking is too much . I think if this is to continue the value of the Supra will either stagnate or even start to fall . I know we don't dictate the market value , but we do have a say in how much WE think our car is worth . So as in my case after the negative comments I took it off sale , which I,m now very grateful for , as its not for sale now, and if, and when I do decide to sell it will be for a price I think reflects the quality , history , and overall condition of the car . There is a section on here to make comments , Supra Chat , Off topic . NOT ON A MEMBERS FOR SALE thread .

Hey Imi , I don't, think you would feel like that if you had a go in the 510 bhp . When I took it out 2 weeks ago I could not find a weakness anywhere , either in/out of the car . As I said to Dr Jekyll a few days later . The problem I had was when I got back to the dealers after the test drive . I was about to walk into the show room to do some figures when the salesmen went and got the keys to the F-TypeR Coupe that I parked next to after the test drive . Best looking ,best sounding car ever made imo So now the XKR is out of the picture and I,ll wait for the F-Type Coupe to come down in price a little before buying one , so my Supra ownership goes on for another year or so

Took 11 plate xkr with the 510 bhp out for a test drive . Sheer delight . Loved every aspect of it, Only downside I didn't, pick up Dr Jekyll with me ...... Sorry Craig

If this is your opinion sadly all you've done by your comments is to reinforce whats already been said , regarding negative threads on the Supra prices . You also say that there is still relatively loads of Supra around today . There is over 30 million cars on uk roads , and with the amount of Supes therein falls into the realms insignificant numbers , not loads . If you read the threads you will see that this thread is only an observation from my perspective on prices . What does self inflicted disappointment mean ? as this is just a reality that seems to be prevalent at the moment.......... an observation .

Hey guys , this isn't a rant over whats been commented on my sale thread , its just an observation that I noticed recently. Wether you agree or not , if we as a club cannot refrain from comments that have potential to de-value members cars , then I would suggest that this iconic marque will forever be under valued and then remain in the " Doldrums ". Oh and just as a PS if my car doesn't sell by Mon /Tues next I,ll keep it and take it off the road , the dealer that made me an offer , I feel , is too low , but if I were to accept it that wouldn't help me financially ( losing too much £ ) or , it might even confirm in some buyers minds that these Supras can be bought at very low prices fot what these car should really command , and only us the owners can determine weather we sell cheap, or what the true value is thus undervaluing our own cars .

Hiay mate , I agree with what you say, to a point . But reaction to that is ... if you were looking for a Ferrari , and just had enough funds to buy it, but not enough money to keep it serviced, and in overall good condition , why buy the Ferrari ? Surely you would be better off waiting till you can afford the whole deal .

Thought I start this thread as something I,ve observed recently . As this Club / forum is by far the most knowledgeable , and most innovate on the net ,members and non members come here for advice, and thoughts / ideas of experienced members on this forum. So bearing this in mind surely to put the iconic Supra on a more prestiege basis we the people of this forum should decide what a car is worth in monetary terms . I,ve got a thread in the classified section and had a few comments regarding the price I have my car for sale . Now even though I accept this is a forum and therefore comments will be made , to have comments on a sale thread referring to what a members is asking for his/her car and then justifying their comments by the term " its my opinion " just puts the thread on a negative footing regarding the price . Surely that's what Supra chat other forum sections are designed for . If we as members of the best Supra club on the net decide our car is worth x , then other members on the same forum decide its not worth x but worth y which is a vastly lower price than what the seller wants to accept , by making their comment relegates the price in potential buyers minds regardless of the cars condition and money spent achieving this end, and thus keeping Supra prices to stagnate. So in essence before members on here complain about how low the price of Supras are, its only us, the owners, that can do anything about this . In my case if I don't achieve near the asking price I,ll take it off sale ( even though I,m in financial meltdown ) if just to stop the price dropping so far, and keeping these iconic cars prices from stagnating . This isn't a rant just an observation .

Deffo agree with Gaz6002 , I,ve had auto, then 6spd man , and now back to auto , all TTs . When I sold my 6spd I actively searched for a auto tt as a straight swap, or p/x . Before you make judgement try getting a drive of a auto, and then a manual . My present auto is noticeably quicker than my 6 spd bpu and so much faster getting to the speed your looking for . At 18 you need to drive a Supra in a safe environment before taking to the road , ( unless you go by the name of L Hamilton ) .

I,ve got the front set up with Wilwood , calipers , discs , and bespoke performance pads . Its a very good kit , certainly better than the uk oem set up ( I,ve had both ) on a few Supes. Because one or two don't like them does,nt mean their inferior . That's their opinion .

As a club it can,t control the weather , the event organisers placement of the club stand , or the way some members park on the stand . Even though you do get an occasional mishap regarding parking , I think the day overall went well . I,m sorry to read the negative points some of us have made ( which I totally understand ) but in fairness, the club always does its best to organise this one event annually and gets it right 99% of the time . I came the same way Listy went and thought the route was,nt the best , but under the circumstances had no option unless driving a further 5 mls . If next years Japfest warrants it , I will, if it helps , be happy to be at Japfest early on the day to organise parking , in order to everyone having a great day .

There,s no point in taking her to your house as you,ll still be waiting for the tow truck by the time we got to yours . So was thinking it only polite to take her to mine , as by that time she,d be suffering the early stages of hypothermia (waiting recovery ) . As a gentleman I would by this time give her some brandy to warm her up, followed by getting her straight to bed with hot water bottle !!! LOL

After all said and done its a matter of preference . I,ve owned a lot of fast cars including my 1st Supra ( auto ) ,2nd 6spd ( man ) , 3rd (auto ) . Out of the three the auto box is my fave . I doubt if there,s anything between 0 - top end , between my auto and a 6spd man of the same power band .

Sorry boys but you,re all wrong . The Holy Grail is a 93 TT Aerotop in Silver . But moreover it has to have the custom leather interior in silver and black . Anything less must be deemed as inferior . Aerotops are the only true sports cruiser !!!!!!! Any takers ? LOL
