  1. No, the real pressure starts when you have 30 cars following you and you take a wrong turn in to a farmers field!! That's what really tests the route.
  2. More than happy to back away from this and let locals arrange it if anybody wants to volunteer. You would need to find a cheap Travelodge or similar for the Friday night for everybody, a route on the Saturday starting at 9.30am, driving until noon (about 80 miles), an hour and a half for lunch, then another 80 miles or so to a fairly nice hotel with room prices about £80 a night or so and a bar. Needs good parking for the Friday hotel, the Saturday lunch stop and the Saturday evening hotel. Bear in mind you may have people coming from Devon, Cornwall, Kent, London and everywhere in between so assume they will have driven 9 hours just to get there on the Friday and the same back on the Sunday.
  3. Already have a route mapped out around the Borderlands so doubt I could shift it that far up.
  4. I'm thinking Spa next year ladies and gents, no idea why or what or exactly where but that way seems to make sense so we give the French a year off from our excitable members....how are the Belgium police?
  5. Quite a few on Facebook from the chap that did this one. Finally I have a picture I can enter in the calendar for 2014.
  6. Well my son took a picture of every single different car badge if you want to see those!! I have a few too so will get them loaded up.
  7. Might give it a go if I can get the Friday off work. Don't think I could face the Saturday and Sunday crowds.
  8. Goodwood basically said yes. But not on the weekend of the 24th August so working with them to see what else is on offer. They are very keen to have us there, and at a price we can afford!!
  9. Im also trying to get in touch with Goodwood to see if we can use their circuit for anything.
  10. I can probably pop round some time and you can take it for a drive to see how it rides on the crap roads of London.
  11. It was great, for the first time ever the Supra was probably one of the most exclusive cars there. Didn't see another one in the place. Saw 3 Bugattis, about 200 Ferraris, 50 lambos and pretty much everything else in between. Well worth going along to. I did have to laugh though, parked up, locked the car and stood back for a few moments and some kid wandered round the back of the car and shouted out 'its a Toyota dad'. He probably knew the Ferraris and Lambos off by heart, but didn't know a Supra.
  12. Last of my videos folks, it's 5 minutes of the hotel roadblock. I was first in so didn't have to queue, you chaps at the back must have wondered if you would ever get in!!
  13. Abz, I'm an old man now, I went back to an auto with stock twins for comfort and I find the ride just fine on almost all surfaces. They have 18 clicks of softness so you can tweak them to be softer, I run mine on 14 out of 18 clicks. Wheels in Motion fitted mine and did the geo afterwards and so they choose the best settings based on what I said I preferred.
  14. yep, open to all club members and a few special invites.
  15. airfield owners have said no track days as it rips the surface up. So it is 1/4 mile or nothing.
  16. smokey burnout would have made that section.... Just working on the hotel arrival vid now.
  17. re-edited my video to get Dodgy Rog back in the movie
  18. True, you may get what you pay for, but if you pay £150 for a set of lowering springs vs £700 for BCs then you are getting what you pay for. Ellis and myself both run BCs and have found them to be great. With lowering springs the car was very skittish, never quite behaved on rough surfaces. With the BCs the car sits right, handles very well and doesnt jump around on rough roads. So its a hearty recommendation from me.
  19. Looks like it may be a 1/4 mile thing on the Saturday or Sunday at an airfield. So that just leaves the other day to sort out.
  20. There are gaps in the calendar for June and July. Make it the weekend just before the schools break up and it shouldnt be too bad. Or the end of June would fit well?
  21. Its a 3 day event, I'm sure you can fit something in!!
  22. Not sure if it will happen or what will be planned but we are possibly maybe potentially aiming at doing the 20th Anniversary events on the weekend of the 24th, 25th and 26th August. That includes the bank holiday Monday which would be at Rockingham where we will have our own space and have a parade lap round the track. Not sure what will happen on the other 2 days if anything, but there is talk of an airfield day, camping at Billing Aquadrome and possibly something to do with Toyota (but they are being vague....). So dont go booking any family holidays for that weekend folks.
  23. so, I thought I would put my car in for the Goodwood Supercar Sunday breakfast club event this Sunday thinking it would never be picked as it is up against real supercars and mines a doggy old j-spec. Got the email today telling me I'm allowed in to the main paddock!! Now I'm embarrassed to go as its going to be a crapbox compared to the stuff thats going to turn up!! So, looks like I might be going to Goodwood Breakfast this Sunday!!
  24. I built in a wiggle in the route to give somebody time to get ahead on the normal roads. Worked out perfectly for me to do it in the end.
  25. I appear to have edited you out!! I will redo the video with you in it this time as I'm sure you are there. There was a big gap after Abz Cabz went past so I removed it, choped your car out at the same time.
