Pro class hasn't been banded just that anybody can now run slicks etc and it now goes on what times you run. Not many street class cars run in the 9's so pro class have there own time band if the get down that low, if not and you run 10s or 11s your'll be in same timeband as real street class cars and some stripped out lower powered cars running on slicks. Track is prepped the same for all, you just get on and do your best, i've seen cars run 8s and one ran a 194mph terminal last meet so no problem with traction ;-)

I would give Ian a ring at Websters and ask the question, i've warmed my tyres until you cant see a lot because of the smoke then run the 1/4mile. Same tyres have given the same times and 60ft grip level time and time again. So my initial thoughts are i dont think you have hurt the tyre compound, after all they are made for drag racing which involves warming the tyres. I know you can over warm tyres and reduce grip levels, but you can run the next time and less heat in the tyres results in better grip. Just my thoughts and i hope you haven't wrecked them as i know how expensive they are. Remember they are devloped for prepped tracks for best performance

My Link ecu controls both of the fans, I’ve got them set to come on at 90deg and run till temp drops to 86dg. Both run simultaneously when needed. Engine revs are also controlled and rise slightly when fans kick in. I was thinking of wiring my small fan to come on at start up, then second larger fan would only run when temps rise above 90dg. Has your ecu got an engine fan option?

Have you got fans set to come on at 100deg? Can you set 1 fan to run continually from start up, then other fan start if temp rise above 90deg?

On a nice Sunday morning i decided to clean the car, i put the car in my garage after racing at Shakey a couple of weekends ago. So unload of tools, drag wheels and other bits and bods that we put in car then a full wash including removing tyre debris following burn outs When cleaning FMIC i noticed a large bug than must have been hit during the weekend What a size it was would have resticted air flow it think Then after the clean time for a blow dry, £30 in Vpower and 1 hour run around 1/2 mile away from home was a mobile speed trap! Lucky for me i wass still on warm up and only going steady No front number plate pulled over, female officer walked across the road, around to my passenger window and stated that they noticed i was missing a front number plate! I produced a new plate from behind passenger seat and stated 'keeps coming off!! just on way to garage for some fuel don't go out very often in car" Just put it in window and be on your way sir What a nice officer she was

Just seeen the results from last weekends event at Shakey 1st in time class and 3rd overall and 10 points in the bag Well pleased even though my best was an 11.919. Nothing new done to car since last year and me being a bit rusty, roll on round 4

Try 17psi and youu should see better 60ft times also not to long on the tyre warm, these tyre warm quickly
