    Clutch fluid

Thats this weeks jobs sorted then, i thought a full drain would be needed I've just been looking at Opie web site at different grades, didn't realise there was so many choices. Better heat wrap and on my down pipe may help along with doing the lines, a little job has just grown
  2. I may have boiuled my clutch fluid last year and want to change my clutch fluid just in case and need a bit of advise. What ever i put in needs to be able to stand heat soak from exhaust, manifold and turbo. What to use? DOT4, 5 or other? They can't be mixed? How can i tell whats in there already?
  3. Any updates? I see you have entered Easter Thunderball at Pod
  4. No drilling holes for mine bolts onto points in car but rear seats need removing and standard seat belt can't be used but i have 5 point harness for both seats
  5. James if these are ET drag they are slicks NOT road legal http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.php
  6. Live sex shows, coffee shops and heineken museum http://www.coffeeshop.freeuk.com/Map.html I'd recommend Smokes, youcan drink, eat and smoke in this shop along with playing pool. Beware of the coffee shops with pool tables! Count the balls, some have one extra and watching somebody that is smashed work it out is funny
  7. Could this be why the yanks are interested? Lets hope our lads are not asked to go there, if there's any left that aren't all ready doing afgan work
  8. Can't say mine has scared me yet, sweaty palms sometimes when concentrating hard during a fast run. I feel save inside my car with harness/roll bar etc don't think i would do the same type of driving with just standard stuff. Jurgen is it scared of hurting yourself or others in a road accident, wrecking the car after spending so much money or even the car breaking something expensive like the engine?
  9. Sometimes i wish mine didn't have them, but when i'm at a meeting people know it's me and my car. If i didn't drag it they would be removed i'm sure.
  10. No not taking the p*ss, just try to get more Supras running in the series as i normaly feel out numbered. Use the link and go to 'Enter Here' put your details and they will give you a race number, it's that easy http://prostreetdragseriesuk.freeforums.org/index.php
  11. Scotty & Josh arn't you both entering? It's free! Turn up 5 times and run at the top of your timing class and you never know were your'll finish at the end of the year perhaps a trophy!!!
  12. The driver may have some say in it But it would be close and traction may be the winner (merc)
  13. I've got a trailer Drop me a pm i may be able to help you out if your covering the fuel cost?
  14. Dunk 50 and deiving a supra = topman in my books
  15. Merc S Class for me, loads a torque and bags of luxury
  16. You will also find launching a turbo car is a lot different to launching a big bore yank, power delivery is way different
  17. Weight transfer doesn't just happen at the launch, you will have to learn to manage this process upto and including the 1st gear change at about the 60ft mark (presuming your running a manual box), by getting this right your launch times will lower meaning your overall times will drop. You will need to aim for sub 1.8 sec 0-60ft's to start getting into the 11's without having a lot ofbig bhp to gain time at the top end of the track.
  18. I'd say, tyres, suspension, wheel size, clutch, auto/man and driver would have the greatest difference
  19. My singles runs nice times without breaking, i've lost count how many 1/4 miles its run in the last 3 years with the only major problem being the clutch. It has also been used on the road occasionally, along with runs on a private road clocking 180+ leptons The last outing was in pouring rain to Newcastle were it then passed through the tunnel at a very good rate of pace before heading back home on a 2 hour drive without any problems So not all singles break or sit with bonnets up Very importantly a good driver in a good car that is set up for running 1/4 mile will run a good times, power levels have only a part to play. Weight and traction are also 2 issues that must be taken into account. Anybody wanting to race my single are very welcome, come along to Shakey and get in the next lane and we'll race. Who ever wins gets the bragging rights ‘Unless you have the timing slip it means nothing to me’
  20. Great night When doing the tunnel run i managed to scare myself into silence along with my co-pilot, not managed that for a long time
