The late-model RZ was manual only, not tiptronic. It's almost definitely (unless it started life as something else!) an RZ-S. Hope that helps.

Oh dear, are you sure? I'm going to fix this for you by adding 1 to the 'would recommend' and taking 1 off the 'would not recommend' figures for the 452. If that's not right, please feel free to post again.

Please see my earlier comments regarding the 451 (post #64). I understand what you are saying about geometry. However, it is still my hope (increasingly vain) that weight of numbers will even out any differences caused by geometry, shoe size, etc. Although there's a trend starting, I think it's still far too early to call it (only 63 recommendations in total).

But then I would have to maintain it - I'm not on here often enough to do that (and as you'll see from the first post, I'm suggesting that members add other tyres if they want to). Confusing? Maybe for some. However, I think the negative scores for any tyre reflect some members' bad experience with that particular tyre - what's right for one car/driver obviously might be different for another. I was hoping that these differences would be balanced out as more members vote. That will only work if people are free to express their own opinions/experiences without external influence. Hopefully, they won't be swayed by other's comments or votes. Enough said I think.

Sorted now. Please feel free to add your vote for the 452s and add 451s to the list (however, Falken shows the latter now out of production).

Still early days but I'm really loving these new tyres - the car is transformed! Traction, cornering, braking, comfort, noise (I can hear my exhaust better!) all improved. Judging by my other thread, it does seem that very few people have tried these yet on the Supra (and I'm talking Conti. Sport Contact 3 here, not the earlier versions).

Great explanation. So now I will play muppet and ask a couple of daft questions: why isn't water injection fitted as standard by manufacturers of forced induction cars? why not just add water to your petrol (fuel injection) and adjust fuel ratio accordingly?

Hmmm! Even/uneven treadwear? What kind of driving? Did they give you a replacement set or have you switched to a different tyre?

You're right, of course. I was hoping that we'd get so much feedback, from across the whole forum membership, that those kind of differences would be evened out. Unfortunately, it's not worked out like that - so far (maybe this thread will come into its own in a couple of years or so)!

I've found some info. on the Toyo Proxes T1-R suggesting that, during development, this tyre was extensively tested on European roads and, in particular, here in the UK. Maybe that's why it's proving a popular choice in this thread? It's also meant to have very good (low) treadwear. In 'publicised' tests it doesn't do particularly well. Perhaps it's just really well suited to the Supra. It would be good to have some more member feedback on this tyre.

Based on current recommendations, the best tyres for your Supra are (probably): 1. Toyo Proxes T1-R 2. Avon ZZ3 2. Bridgestone RE050A 2. Dunlop SP Sport Maxx 2. Pirelli P Zero Nero 2. Pirelli P Zero Rosso 3. (that's enough for now) The more recommendations are made, the more meaningful the list becomes. So, to paraphrase a puppet driving a Corsa, "Come on!".
