  1. another thing... The Idle is really slow too
  2. All seemed fine..... got away from the garage, gave it a boot full, no 2nd turbo just caries on with the acceleration from the 1st Any ideas.....??? Its going back in tomorrow for a service, so i'll get them to investigate...... thought they would have noticed this on the testdrive tho The exhaust blades and shaft were missing on No1 That was my problem I'll get pics of them tomorrow
  3. i have 9.5 x 18 on the rear with 275x35 rubber and 8x18 on the front with 225/35 rubber seem ok to me.... I stayed norrower on the front to avoid tramlining etc PCD is correct

  5. ok....... So, new pump and regulator (Justin already told me this... just forgot to put it in ) right...... just got to work out how im going to fund all this crap now
  6. I've read the other threads on related topics.... but just want some more advice/confirmation... (i have a j-spec auto by the way) I've decided to go the hybrid route and prob boost upto about 22psi... Im getting either Apexi or HKS s-type FMIC APEXi S-AFC APEXi AVC-R uprated fuel pump (walbro) Would i have to, or be better to, fit larger cc injectors.... or anything else you can think of.. oh, ERL aquamist is also on the cards
  7. i did spin the blades.... and if i remember correctly they seemed to spin fairly freely..... but i cant exactly remember Im just going to give it over to a decent garage and let them pull their hair out
  8. decided to have a look myself... Didnt take the turbos off, just the pipe work/ heatsheild etc the blades seem ok on the intake side of the first turbo (one nearest front)
  9. Im awaiting a response from Jim at Star (glenrothes) I think the toyota guy is his son! I'll give them a buzz when i eventually find out what's wrong
  10. good point... Im sure i emailed them... but i'll give the a quick buzz in the morning (or maybe once the ECU's been checked over) I think they kinda live off the rep of there Jun Skyline (which i think was bought, not built by them)
  11. have you dealt with them before? Ive seen there Skyline and rally suport units etc... but never heard anything abou there work! do you know anything about the 'Garage' in Wishaw? The owner , Marc, wasnt pleased when i beat his tarted up Skyline on the 1/4 ! hehhehee
  12. Paul - Nope.... there abit few and far between, if any, up here!!! I took it past the garage that does all the work for the importers... With the view of taking it elsewhere (turbo specialist http://www.mvturbos.co.uk they can do hyrids (turbotechnics i think) for 650 each ) if the turbos were gone! Thats all i want to work out really!
  13. it would be if i believed em ! What would cause an ECU to make the engine 'use' oil? (I wired up the FCD about a week before the 'pop', could it be anything related... checked the wiring again... all seems fine to the eye) Theres pools of Oil in my exhaust I would be happier knowing they've had the turbos off for a good look! PLUS - i was getting exited about the prospect of hybrids
  14. The local garage think its an ECU problem! They say there is no suction being created! (but there wouldnt be if the turbos were gone either would there??? ) and why would thius cause it to splt oil out the back!!! im not convinced !!! they never even had the heatshield off the turbos, so never had a proper look at em! Its going back in on Wed to have the ECU fault codes read...

  17. i had this on mine too i was a bolt on the suspension arm that needed tightening... do a search for it... theres a few post that go into more detail
  18. If my turbos are gone i'll be needing some new ones, or one. Im after some options! Replace them with hybrids? Replace them with a single? Is it right that i'll have to upgrade the fuel system if i go for anything other than the stock OE items? ( i was hitting around 18psi anyway) Could some one give me a list of 'needs' etc etc (and prices if poss) Bigger injectors Fuel Rail ECU or somesort of fuel controller Turbo(s) FMIC
  19. just been past the local garage (they do all the work for the local importers) Its going in on monday to get checked out.... His words, there no suction so thats promising, could be an IC hose.... I hope it is!
  20. its used a fait bit of oil too! oil seal on the turbo looks more likely by the minute Ive got a few companys in mind now... MV Turbos (HKS dealer) and another place, not so much turbos but a good general garage to prob get it checked out... Star Performance
  21. i dont have a turbo timer, but i do sit for a while and let the oil get round... im getting numbers of turbo folk around edinburgh today
  22. im looking into local places that i can trust at the mo..... going to have a look round again in the morning... just to make sure i havent missed anything obvious.... What would cause the seal to go..... increased pressure?
