  1. how much fluid did you pop in..... im thinking of doing this
  2. the hazard in the centre and the handbrake light in mine
  3. would be cool tho.... sort of like the McLaren F1 eh
  4. i get that on corners just now..... my pads are low tho....
  5. I agree with the fueling and EGT... If i was keeping my car.... FMIC and EGT gauge would be very soon on my list PS - dont do ANYTHING without a boostgauge either
  6. In order... I did... Decat both SuperDrager Removed Fuel Cut (didnt fit colder smaller gapped plugs) was hitting around 1.2bar... but spiking/creeping up to about 1.3/1.4 I should have fitted a restrictor plate ASAP and fitted better plugs
  7. Simon - i know you meant AdamW, but do a search... theres been a few topics on it! Plugs - most plugs come in packs of four so it couldnt be that It felt really wierd.... just reminded me off the shit i went through getting my supra back
  8. 1 thing that confuses me abit..... Why whould there by 5 champion plugs and 1 std Denso one
  9. i always ran mine on optimax or SUL before it blew Id just de-cat'd and fuel cut'd etc.... didnt change the plugs... developed a misfire, changed the plugs (no5 was slightly buggered) was fine for a few days...... then the turbo blew to bits...... 2nd hand turbos fitted and blown on test run (by garage) Went to Leon, No5 melted again....
  10. cly 2-6 were champions cly 1 was the std DENSO plug.... (was missing the whole tip) I fitted 2 of my spare colder graded, smaller gapped to test and it still ran like a bag of shit.. The plus were much worse then mine too..... i had one with half a tip missing and i had two pistons with considerable damage... Plus were also covered in oil... Get a compression check done asap.... Jonny, give Leon ( http://www.jpsmotorsport.com ) a phone You could strip down the turbos just to check them too..... I have a spare No2 if needed, and a buggered No1 if you need to send away for hybrids etc.... What plugs etc were gone on fisherjohn's???
  11. update: Not good Popped over to jonnys this Eve... plugs on cly 1 and 6 are melted The big oil spill seems to be coming from around the front of the block, right hand side (looking towards car) Could'nt see any missing hoses etc round there was hard to get a pic down there too
  12. I'll check jonnys out tonight.... i hope it isnt What went on FisherJohns?
  13. jonny.. The IC is at the front, drivers side... infront of the wheel arch... remove the arch liner and you'll get into it... First thing id do would be check the plugs... then compression.... then strip off the turbos to check.... When i did mine, plug No5 had melted.... I had two damged pistons, scored valves and one turbo without blades... Not good, nor cheap If its blown turbos and piston etc damage id recommend Leon (JPS)... that where i sent my car to (used McKays transport company, 240 or so to get it to MiltonKeynes) What happened when mine went - Was driving down the M90... quiet slowly, lost all power and started smoking... thought it was just a hose off as there was just a small chirp kinda noise... pulled over...nothing evidant.. Got the car home..... no turbo power and lots of smoke... car idled fine... got a 2nd hand set of j-spec turbo's fitted, car came back idleing like a bag of shit and with new turbos blown.... ACE sent it to Leon!
  14. my J'spec has a 2nd sensor too
  15. your excuse is allowed then
  16. you up for popping along to crail next sun (25th) for a wee meet?
  17. just popped out a min ago... all seems fine mos - where in Scotland? what car?
  18. i think it may be nothing.... but just want other opinions driving in town this morning.... slowing to a stop to turn right across a lane of traffic..... noticed the stereo and aeriel got down.... looked down .... nothing..... car had cut out. Tried starting, nope. So (luckily car was a on a fairly big bit of down hill) rolled the car and parked up on the left, tried again... nope. Popped the bonnet and noticed the +ve lead was off.... (car was just out of the body shop) so, i popped it back on as best i could there and then.... BUT the car wouldnt idle....... i drove it about 500m to my work, holding the revs with brake and gas when needed.... then as i eventually lifted off the revs dropped and stuttered, but didnt cutout... moved the power steering a bit... still no cut but seemed to stabalise it. Cut the power and restarted... no problem IS it just the ECU re-learning? every other time i've had the battery off it has not done this?
  19. nice sensible driver then try removing the TC fuse..... last 7.5a fuse from the ouside... aslo tells you on underside of fuse box I have a J-Spec auto..... but i think it may work the same.... i noticed that it would launch straighter on the 1/4 with the fuse out, than with..... also a bit more predictable in the wet Im assuming the TC is basically the same in the UK version... i know it deals with the UK limiter too
  20. its the rate function that affects the speed at which boost comes in...... gain is just how far it opens i have my rate to 10 and max channel4 setting to 60% giving 1.4bar channel1 is 5% and gives 1.0bar
  21. i think bonnet pins would look abit out of place on mine!!!
