  1. They're universal mate, I had one on an old MX-5. They just tighten up with grub screws underneath the screw up collar on the bottom. When you buy new you get a selection of rubber inserts so it fits perfectly. Feels bloody big in your hand though, I'd go for a Quaiffe nylon gearknob, they feel the best imo
  2. Although you might get ripped for calling it 'non aspirated'
  3. I just replaced mine from Toyota, literally a few quid! Cheapest thing I've ever bought from a main dealer
  4. I can't see what harm it would do if it is possible to take the face out separately, there wouldn't be any weight on them as such! Should make the dishes sooooo much easier to polish too
  5. Thanks for the advice mate!
  6. That's what I was hoping, it looks the way that mine are bolted that I might be able to get the faces off with the tyres on, time will tell haha!
  7. Just looking on YouTube and it looks a real ball ache with 3 piece wheels and slightly less with 2 piece. Really want to do it, but don't want to face this hassle aaaaarrrrgggh! I'm sure it'll be worth the stress though.
  8. Hi guys, Over the winter months I plan to give my HREs a freshen up and maybe change the colour of the centres completely, but as I've never had them apart before, I wondered how hard they are to split? I only need the faces off and wondered if it was possible to do this with the tyres still in place? Will there also be sealant behind the faces? If anyone could enlighten me in the ways of split rims, I'd be very greatful! Cheers, Matt
  9. I'm in for updates, can't wait to see the bay!
  10. Here's a shot of my old Momo Mod 78 in red suede and my all new 'scene friendly' Jimmy Up limited edition wheel: The red one is for sale by the way [/url]
  11. Jay, stop taking the piss out of people and clear your inbox lol, I need your address but as inbox is full, it won't let me contact you. Sorry for the Fred Drift peeps, bye bye!
  12. Nah, you're alright! I ditched my HKS the moment I got the car too
  13. Thanks bud, I think the Supra always looks fantastic in side profile.
  14. Haha! Not everyone's taste, but it does look great in person!
  15. If you do step up from the standard airbox, I'll have first dibs on it mate!
  16. After a pretty hectic summer, I thought I'd take the time to fill you in on what's been happening with the Supra. After putting up with god awful brakes for around six months, I thought it was about time I finally did something about it. I pulled apart my four pots and rebuilt them using new seals, pins and clips and greased everything to make sure they don't get gunked up again in the future. The pistons had been stuck solid and when I removed the brake pads, they crumbled in my hands, bloody lucky I checked them out when I did. Now, the stopping power is bloody unbelievable and it stops just as well as it goes. During the summer I used the car more than ever before and the Supra was given its very last tax disc and a trip to JAE to show off its devilishly handsome looks. Before JAE, I was pretty undecided in which direction to take the Supra and I tried out a few graphics to give the car an instant makeover...big mistake. After forking out around £180 on vinyl graphics, I ripped them off within a week and chucked them in the bin. I suppose it's at least a result that I could see that they looked gash straight away. The Motul sunstrip however has remained and I think it looks pretty cool. My latest two additions are completely revolving around image haha! I ordered a new personal plate from the DVLA and a Jimmy Up steering wheel from the States, just to show the young uns I still now what this game is all about. Not only is it incredibly current, I reckon it looks fantastic with all my interior carbon. It will be staying. I'm off for a 400 odd mile round trip on the weekend, so it'll be another great chance for the Sup to stretch its legs and put a few smiles on peoples faces. Let me know what you guys are thinking! Matt
  17. Yeah, I know it's a problem as I've been busy with said angle grinder and drill today! Will definitely upgrade when I can unless the stock pins are more expensive, then I'll get them now!
  18. Cheers for the reply Chris, I've already contacted my local Toyota dealer, but will keep you in mind in the future for upgrades. Matt
  19. Fantastic, thanks very much guys! Stainless sound like a good idea, I'm pretty sure the crapped up pins must have had an effect on the pistons performance!
  20. Turns out I'm actually going to need to replace the seals too! I've removed the pistons and cleaned everything up as one of them was completely seized. Am I okay to greas them up before they go back in? I guess they just sit in the caliper right? Any info would be great Matt
  21. Looking forward to seeing your redesign bud!
